Chapter 3
Somewhere inside the mystic forest of ungodly beasts and creatures of legend, an odd colorless egg was forming. What was odd about it was that the egg was forming out of absolutely nothing, it just appeared.
Another fact was that it was absorbing almost all the abnormal or phenomenal powers in the region for its formation. A swirl in space rippled melodiously up to 10 times until the egg was fully formed.
The egg had no color nor definite shape but the most humane word to describe it was “abnormal”. The egg started to tremble slightly, starting from a few wobbles until finally……
“Kachik!”
The egg started to hatch with slight cracks running down the gell-like shell or even membrane of the egg. A limb first poked out, followed by its brothers and sisters then finally the head.
“Rawr!”
What seemed to be an attempt at a roar sounded as though a cub of unknown origins. It was pitchy, high and cute. The head of the baby ‘beast’, looked around in curiousity, clueless of all the dangers that await it in this dog eat dog world.
The little beast was anything but ordinary. In fact, it was peculiar even amongst all the myths on legendary beasts and creatures. As the beast had a body similar to a dragon with all the hard exterior of scales but the tail contrasted.
It also had three eyes. Two of which were a fascinating but eerie red but the one on the forehead was a dazzling gold. His face was similar to a mischevious devil fox with dragon like whiskers. Furthermore, it had two giant, well bigger than himself, ‘unordinary’ wing-like limbs on his back.
The wings looked strong, firm and deadly as proven by the countless bony spikes attached on it. The beast was already aware of the changes to its former human self. Correct, the peculiar beast was Arthur.
Arthur was no fool, in fact he could be counted as one of the most knowledgeable beings in the known multiverse. But as a famous person once put it, “With Great Power comes Great Responsibility”.
Arthur was now searching or more accurately, sniffing for food and water, resources everything needed. It had walked past various bizarre plants and wonderful creatures akin to itself, all thought to be folklore in his past life.
But, he did not panic or run away as ‘God’ already gave it the knowledge of all the plants, animals, beasts, worlds, etc…. He was basically a walking encyclopedia. Arthur was very grateful to the benevolent god for allowing him a considerable headstart in his new life.
If he knew that God was just another anime loving geek, he would definetly kill himself out of embarrassment. Arthur had finally found trails of food, but he didn’t immediately rush over as it might be overrun by monsters.
As such, he grew vigilant and weary of even the littlest of shakes and wonders of nature by using his beast instincts and senses.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
“Grr….”
A thunder attributed beast twice Arthur’s size had jumped on him with a highly charged energy strike. Arthur immediately rolled to the side to dodge the lightning strike. Arthur was at a very big disadvantage due to his size, cub like body and strength.
But, something inside him told him that he would be able to tear this lowlife apart. It might just be his primordial instinct but he trusted it. He had incidentally activated his bloodline without his acknowledgment due to the near death experience he was currently in and trust he had in his insticts.
Suddenly, his third eye activated providing him a full 360* view of his enemy. His body grew in strength, and his tail and body had turned a death black color. His aura had changed from unnoticeable to authorative and unfathomable.
The lightning wolf attempted to sneak and one shot kill the young cub when it had suddenly dazed. But, Arthur saw it and opened his mouth. He knew this technique from the sudden activation of his bloodline, along with some others.
A huge vortex pulled the beast to his gaping mouth. All the bones and meat had morphed into a blanket of energy as it was ruthlessly devoured. A euphoric expression appeared on Arthur’s face as he let out satisfied burp.
Static suddenly ran through Arthur as he felt his connection to one of the attributes: lightning. The attribute was wild and dangerous but it was slowly assimilating inside his body.
“Rawwr!”
Arthur let out a relieved roar after the element had finished assimilating. He felt that he was faster, and stronger which seems to be the element’s influence. But he wasn’t satisfied. Not yet.
He then smelt a sniff of pure, spiritual water somewhere close. He continued on his path until he reached a lake, though small in size it was high in purity. A hazy mist engulfed him as he walked through towards the lake.
The mist had somewhat interrupted his third eye’s ability for unknown reasons. But he subjected it to thinking that he was still not strong enough.
“ Sob…sob.”
He heard a sorrowful cry, both beast and humane but when he looked around he didn’t see anything. Even after searching around for a while, he didn’t see anything.
He was at a lost to what to he could do until he realized what the water in the lake was. Although he was a walking ‘encyclopedia’ and hold indefinite knowledge he still needed time to access it. The lake was a pure ‘yin’ type of energy that could further one’s senses and gave a rise in power to ‘yin’ type of beings.
He slowly drank from it and indeed, he felt the effects. He felt his third eye’s range grow in size. As such, he didn’t hold back and used his devouring ability to drink the whole lake.
“Gulp!”
All the ice cold mist that was around surrounded Arthur as a cocoon of high spiritual yin energy formed with him inside it. The cocoon seemed fragile, yet it exuded an aura of absolute zero.
It had beautiful ice lines, along the mesmerizing white cocoon or shell. Arthur could be seen but he seemed as though a harmless and normal beast cub inside with his third eye closed, and legs scrunched in a fetal position.
The cocoon beat in sync with Arthur’s heartbeat.
One beat….
Two beats……
Three beats…..
The ‘hard’ cocoon’s shell split open like a beautiful lotus with petals of ice gently falling down on the white grass. Arthur opened his eyes as an awe-inspiring gold with a blue tint shone in glee and his two red orbs had also turned fiercer.
Arthur now had two tails, one white and the other black still equipped with two larger but beautiful wings on his back. His black scales now had a smooth look but they were undoubfully more hard and durable.
Arthur felt like all his impurities were immediately removed in his evolution. He now could sense anything up to a range of 1000 meters with his evolution. He immediately used it and he was shocked at what he saw.
Ephemeral orbs of elements, some known but others unknown, flew around everywhere but the most shocking was that a huge amount of it, all forming an outline of a being, was in front of him.
It was the crying sound he had heard from before. The being was crying pure droplets of ice as it finally noticed the ‘unusual’ thing curiously looking at it.
“Sniff! Sob!..Hm?”
The being was in shock but it quickly turned into joy. It was ecstatic that it had finally been noticed after a million years of grief and pain. The Being scooped up the little thing and joined their foreheads together.
A million years of servitude…
A premonition of an immortal war….
False justice and True guilts….
A lone ‘unusual’ creature……..
Arthur snapped his head back so fast that it even surprised him. The Being ignored the display of shock and told Arthur to devour it. He was amazed that his ability had been discovered.
But, when he thought about it, he had just exchanged memories with the being. Thus, he knew her grief of immortality and the being knew his passion for freedom.
As such, he decided to rid the being of it’s pain and opened his mouth. A vortex of gravitational energy sucked the being in. After a few minutes, he finished his assimilation.
He was shocked at how long he took to assimilate all the energy and excess energies but that just credited how powerful it had been.
Arthur’s heartbeat suddenly grew erratic as violent pulses of energy rode him like a destructive wave.
“RAWWWRRR!”
