The wedding ceremony preparation was ongoing and the soon to be marriage of Marcus Hillary was the talk of town, every magazines and newspapers was filled with his marriage announcement to a mysterious woman. " oh my goodness I can't believe my crush is marrying my colleague Uwhaa whaa" Alice couldn't believe her ear when Tracy gave her an invitation letter telling her not to tell anyone about it " congratulations girl, so tell me is he the one you're preggy reggy for? What happened tell me the whole gist" she said enthusiastically " that's not what you should be concerned about the point is we're getting married okay, and don't tell anyone in the office about it" she said poking Alice's nose " of course, but why was it not me uwhaa" Tracy chuckled.

The day of the wedding

The wedding took place in a beach side with the couple saying their vows while surrounded with well wishers, and as they kissed the ceremony was concluded, the reception was held and when it was time to depart the couple thanked those on attendance as they bid farewell.

" ah, am so tired, I can't believe it's all over " Tracy said looking tired, majorly because she's pregnant, she can't believe it's already been three weeks since she found out she was pregnant and now she married " I think you should rest wife" Marcus said dropping a kiss on her forehead before he laid down on the bed to sleep, Tracy laid down beside him as she drift to sleep.

A few days after the wedding Marcus left for work as the couple has made agreement that after the honeymoon they will both be sleeping in different rooms, so as not to inconvenience the other, and that when Tracy needs help Marcus will be there to provide it.

Tracy was left alone in the house, she went around it to get accustomed to her new home, even if it's for a year, so far Marcus as been keeping his part of the contract, not to touch her if she hasn't given the permission, and so their married lives begin.

While eating dinner " wife, we'll be going to an art gallery party hosted by my friend tomorrow evening, just tell me if you can't make it" he said softly " I'll make it, what time is it?" Marcus knew she might have been bored at home alone, so he's using his friend party as a means for her to stretch her legs and also to know her better, left for Tracy she would have wanted to live like absolute strangers for the whole year and he knows it.

The next evening at the party

That morning Marcus has already made her clothes for the party ready, which she found very thoughtful of him, she knew he was trying his best to know her, and so she has decided to at least be a good wife for him, and once the contract is over both will go their separate ways, so at the party everyone was looking lavished and so was her and Marcus, maybe it's just the pregnancy hormones but she always found herself smitten about the way he looked, smiled or chuckled even the way he smelled and he was looking dashing as always.

After the main party was over there was a little after party and Tracy decided to go for a little walk, just outside the door she heard some ladies discussing, unintentionally she overheard them " I can't believe Marcus stoop so low, to marry a girl like her" they all started laughing " like seriously, she's fat, Stuart and ugly, the only thing going on for her is that she married a rich man" another lady said, Tracy couldn't take their insults anymore and decided to head back inside, when she heard another lady say "Marcus doesn't stay long with a woman am sure soon enough he'll divorce her we all know he'd always like Adrianne, just that things didn't quite work out, not that pig" that was enough she said to herself and went straight to meet the ladies, like who doesn't know about his reputation before they got married " when the ladies saw her they all laughed, she walked straight to where they were and said " he did see someone like you or the girl you just mentioned, but all least he's mine, and if para venture something happens to us it's non of your business, i have something that you cannot have in a million years" their smiling face became filled with disgust and she left their sight.
