5. Machinery and Shopping!

Bulbasaur and Sabrina didn’t manage to pluck all Berries, but that fine.

They worked a bit into the Evening and managed three bushes.

Every Bush has a good bit of height, standing as tall as an adult Male.

But given the Size of Oran Berries, they didn’t bear more fruits than Raspberries.

Well, they still had more Volume. And Mass.

”Huh.”

I knew already that the baskets are big, but the weight somehow feels less than I guessed it to be?

Not less, more like, am I stronger then I imagined?

Hmm, well I Carrie pretty big shopping Bags. Thinking bag, they seemed the standard Size.

Should I have noticed it sooner?

…I still have some books on common sense im the Lounge, if I remember right.

The Duo goes rather merrily inside the House.

There, they pause for a bit, since Sabrina doesn’t know where the Machinery for processing is supposed to be.

Because trying doesn’t hurt, Sabrina walks inside the Kitchen Room, a place where it would sense if they are close.

Inside a door, hidden by Furnitures to see it from the entrance and dinning table, opposite the kitchen is a pastry.

Sabrina notes that she should have placed the food in there. Probably. The Kitchen is actually fine for now.

And to the right is a comparable small Room, six to seven metres in each direction?

Not to small for a Room, but the second smallest one inside the big Farm House by now.

First is the highly likely Guest Toilet. She still needs to find the Bathroom.

Pokechowinator, Super Duper Drier, Marmaladiaor, Cand-o-mat, Treatserinator and so on.

Each somewhere between 30 cm and half a metre wide, going up somewhere between her collarbone or chin.

There is on everyone machine a tiny Panel, giving a good overview of what is needed and how much overdue of the standard recipe is.

Or lacking, in that Case. Only the drying, Marmalade and Candy machine need berries and maybe Sugar.

Sabrina decided to dry three fourths of the Oran Berries, with the Rest getting made into Marmalade.

It could be that there are other Machines that won’t need more than Berries, but decided that she can inspect the exotic Machines another Day.

And with that, Bulbasaur and Sabrina go to sleep, with a peaceful first Night.

Sabrina does have some Problems at first, fearing that maybe another Magikarp evolves and catches her off guard.

But feeling Bulbasaur shifting and even try to snatch the Blanket calmed her down in a weird way.

It ended as she cuddled with Bulbasaur and wrapped both of them under the Blanket.

The Next Day, early in the Morning, both of them plucked Berries again.

Bulbasaur showed of his Moves. Tackle, Growl, Vine Whip and Take Down.

Only Basic ones, but that’s completely fine. But Sabrina had to cheer the sulking Pokemon a bit up.

Afterwards, they checked out the Machines, and to their Surprise, the actual Product is nearly complete.

It seems she needs either a stainless steel Box or silicon wrapping, or take out all the dried fruits as they.

Same for Marmalade, she doesn’t have any glasses to but them in.

Sabrina would punch herself for being so careless, what if the Quality deteriorated because of this?

So she made her Way again for the City.

Bulbasaur was less then excited by the prospect, being carried in the Pokeball for a change.

With the Space Bag hung over her Shoulder, Sabrina makes her way back to Celadon City.

This Time in a more hurried gait, to be a bit faster.

After a good while walking, she finally reaches the City.

Wondering where she might have to go.

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

PokeMart? No, that is a Pokemon Supermarket.

The Player just never had to use a normal one.

So, following the Wisdom of Old, when you don’t know, then Ask!

After a bit of Questioning some friendly old People, she ended up on a Supermarket on the smaller scale.

It Isn’t run down or anything, even well cared, but, how to say it? A lot less attention grabbing then a Supermarket should be.

Were other have colourful signs or are pure white, this one looks like a normal Building, when not housing.

Straight Facade without much more, but some pots with Flowers.

The Colour scheme is nice, with darker colours for the walls and lighter ones for most else.

Even pretty clean, looking very much like it isn’t to long since it was painted.

But the Building overall doesn’t seem to be freshly renovated or similar.

Huh, the assortment seems to be placed weirdly.

The Pokechow for specialised Pokemon is near camping gear, but households one near household products?

Is it deliberately placed so that things one would need too, aren’t to far away.

While not a bad marketing strategy, wasn’t it proven better when one needs to go through the whole Market and be tempted to buy more?

And variety is lacking, two different Tomato Sauce, one Ketchup variety.

No, red easily falls in the Eye. But even a closer look doesn’t prove the opposite.

Even the bottom of the shelves are empty. And they aren’t to high, I can see from here where the boxes and warnings are.

Sabrina goes through the Shelves, which are placed orderly.

A detail she didn’t notice, even though it to stands opposite from the half-mazes most Supermarkets have.

Quickly packing five, then one more box from stainless steel with Poliwag print and some dozen Wrappins from silicon.

She notices that Candy Wrappings also went to far, quickly packing six foils.

As she walks over near the kitchen wares, she takes 23 glasses. Most that she can Selfe balance.

”Thank you for your Purchase.”

”Hey, eh…”

The Clerk is a normal black haired Boy, roughly fifteen years old.

He is polite and has a neat attitude.

Even though he put Sabrina a bit of, as he seemed to move in practiced Motions.

No matter what he did, his head moved fitting for the Motion, but his eyes didn’t.

They were always relative to his head as they were when he stood straight since she entered.

”The Arrangement is a bit weird for a Supermarket.

It’s neat, in a Way, and less waste of Time and subconsciously manipulation to buy something.

What would be a good word? It’s very User Friendly?”

The Boy quickly puts on a Smile.

While not looking quite fake, or like a polite smile of sorts, it seems very practiced.

Even the motion of moving the mouth seems to be practiced in the Mirror, like a trained behaviour when hearing something joyful.

And only the Mouth moved. The Boy didn’t seem to have made any other Movement then that.

”Indeed. Our Family praises itself by having supplied the residents of Celadon City since Generation with high Quality Products.

Fair Pricing, only the best Products available choose to sell here and being as friendly as possible to put Customer.

That does include not confusing them with high shelves built as a Maze or making them buckle for satisfactory Products.

And end of our Products is Satisfactory.”

“Okay, that’s weird. It felt much more like free speaking now then the Thank you.

But one normally doesn’t say sentences like that when speaking freely.”

”Excuse me if that was disturbing. I will train myself to do it better.”

”No need, not like it was bad.”

”We don’t want to feel that Customer are put off.”

”Ugh.” Why must people be so stubborn on weird Places.

”You know, of you want to be a troublesome Person, do it. Not mine wasted effort.”

Sabrina turns around to leave, having already payed.

She feels bad for saying it, but she doesn’t want to give the impression she genuinely felt it was bad.

It is a good Service, no Problem, but some people just have a filter over things.

And through the same filter will also the story be told.

At least people hearing the Story won’t misunderstood.

Expect, she didn’t got to take another Step.

”Could you please tell why am I troublesome?”

Directly before her is the Boy who was just behind counter, pleading in his Eyes. Still looking directly forward.
