Chapter 16-It wasn’t just a cake- Part 2

She rubs her eyes trying to wipe them, but the more she rubs them, the more she cries. Luke is relieved for a moment that he wasn't to blame for something, and says:

"You silly girl, when I saw the message on your cell phone, it was very late and you were probably already asleep... the cake was all for you Ana, it wasn't to share with anyone."

Ana hears "silly" and cries even more as she says:

"Yes, I'm a fool... I really hate being a fool..."

Luke feels like he's said the wrong word at the wrong time, and ends up turning Ana towards him, and pulling her into a hug, while trying to calm her down:

"Come here...I didn't mean that kind of silly, you're not silly...oh I'm terrible with words sometimes."

The end-of-break signal has already rung for some time, and they spend a few minutes cuddling, while Luke pats Ana on the back and prefers to remain silent until she calms down. Ana becomes calmer, and then stops crying, she's concentrating on the woody scent she's smelling on Luke's blouse, this fragrance for some reason makes her feel more relaxed and at ease. She then deduces that a lot of time has passed, and decides to break the silence and say something:

"I think I'm calmer now... we have to go back to class, right?"

Luke then asks:

"Hm, do you want me to let you go then?"

Ana looks thoughtful:

(I don't want to, but if someone finds the two of us alone... it'll be bad.)

"Hm, someone could come to the terrace and see us here alone."

Luke retorts:

"Hardly anyone comes here. We can stay a bit longer."

Ana leans a little closer to Luke, looking at his face. She realizes that he doesn't want to let her go, she even tries to let go, but he ends up pulling her closer.

"Luke, you're choking me like that..."

He laughs, and starts teasing her again:

"What, are you afraid that your "boyfriend" will know that you're hugging another boy?"

Ana remembers her "boyfriend"; yes, that's a good excuse:

"Of course! My boyfriend, he'll be mad if he finds out!"

Ana finally lets go of Luke's arms and Luke continues to tease her:

"Oh, so you were crying because of him?"

Ana retorts:

"Yes, I miss...him."

Luke looks offended and says:

"It didn't seem like you were missing him during those 15 minutes you were cuddling with me."

Ana tries not to omit any more, but when she sees her, she's already talking about her fake boyfriend again.

Luke gets up, pretending to be annoyed and heads for the terrace door:

"Go to your room, it's been a long time... Ana Pinocchio!"

When Ana notices she's already angry with Luke again, he teases her and she falls for him so easily, she gets up huffing, walks past him and says:

"Pinocchio? Are you calling me a pinocchio?"

Luke tells her to go to her classroom, or else he'll write her name down on the students' list of occurrences, after all he has control over such things as President of the Guild, Ana sees no other way and goes to her classroom, there's no point in debating something that doesn't exist. Ana has even forgotten about the cake, she's too busy swearing at Luke right now.

"What do you know, I was cuddling with him for 15 minutes...Wait..."

She looks at the clock on the wall, and runs off:

"God, I really was hugging him, it's to push him away, not to hug Ana, you crazy woman!"
