“Where am I?” I ask as I glanced around the room, my head is still pounding, and this room is only adding to the headache as I sit here confused.
“You’re finally awake, stay lying down for a while. You were unconscious for two months, so your body needs to adjust.”
I’ve never seen the man next to me before, an older gentleman with a long white beard and wearing an expensive dark blue robe. His eyes are purple as if they defy logic themselves.
“Uh… Nice to meet you but can you explain what’s going on? Where is my mom?”
“You are currently in the infirmary of the academy; you lost allot of time. The entrance exams are in four months, so you only have a little time to prepare.”
“Academy? So, I was chosen… Why?”
“Haha, you still ask that after that giant spectacle you made during the awakening ceremony.”
“Oh. I understand somewhat, you said I need to prepare. What should I do exactly?”
Confused and nervous, school life huh? Well even in my past life, school was my favorite past time. A way to escape reality in the pursuit of knowledge, now I just need to avoid falling into a woman’s honeypot and I should be successful in this life.
“Yes, that’s for later, for now just rest. Tomorrow, I will give you a tour around the academy, as of now you are the only student here. The others are at home adjusting to their new powers.” The old man stood up and walked towards the door before turning around.
“By the way, what did you awaken? I can see it was a racial evolution by your appearance.”
“Uh… My appearance changed?”
“Just your hair and eyes, everything else still looks normal… also do you realize you aren’t breathing anymore?”
“HUHH… Your right, I’m not breathing… why is that?”
“It’s most likely to do with your new race, your heart is also not beating but you look perfectly fine.”
“D-dungeon core… Human Dungeon Core is my new race.”
“Now that’s a new one, Nyx the walking Dungeon. That’s your new name in the academy, when we get time tomorrow, I will help you learn about your abilities. For now, rest.”
“Yes sir… Thank you for bringing me here.”
The man left, now I’m all alone in the unfamiliar room. But it could be worse I assume; it seems this world doesn’t discriminate against races… or it could be the Human within my race description. I’ll need more information but for now let’s check my status.

A fairy huh? She’s the same size of a human, I thought fairies were small? Let’s see, she has pure black hair, and black eyes. You can see the stars within her eyes, like a never-ending sea of space. As for clothes… She isn’t wearing clothes.
“Gahhh, sorry I didn’t mean to stare at you naked! Please forgive me”
“Master, it’s okay we will be bound together till death. This will not be the first or the last time you see me like this. Now please give me a name, master.”
“I-I will get you clothes immediately after I promise… Black hair and black eyes, Raven. Your name will be Raven Erebus, I will give you my last name.”

“Thank you master, I Raven Erebus shall be with you till the end.” She makes a curtsy bow towards me, but I cover my eyes as she’s still fully nude. This will take some getting used to, I guess.
“U-uhm so fairy huh… It says you match my affinities. What is your affinity?”
“Space, I’m a space fairy master. It’s a null element that’s not available to humans, I believe I was assigned to you as you already have control over all the elements. I will provide you with the ability to control space as well, as master and fairy leech each other’s abilities.”
“G-good to know, I will be in your care Raven. Now clothes… How should I go about this…”
“Master if I may, your ability as a dungeon allows you to absorb materials and use them to make whatever you desire out of them.”
“Hmmm…” I grab my shirt and pinch my finders on the fabric to test it. This will do for now, I guess.
“Absorb” my shirt disappears in a light of particles

“Now think of what you would like to make and shape the material in your mind.”
"replicate" I mentally envision a bundle of cotton and black dye merging together, making black cotton. Shape it to how I want huh, I take a quick glance at her again to get some rough estimates of her size… A dress should do, as even if it’s a little too small, or big it’ll work for now.
I picture the dress in my mind, I add some frills at the bottom to advance its elegance just a tad.
“Create” The dress I was just imagining falls on the bed right in front of me.
“Master once you claim some influence, you’ll be able to place it wherever you want. Even directly on me.”
“I shouldn’t increase my influence here, lets wait on that until I figure out more of my abilities. For now, please put this on, for my sake…”
Raven grabs the dress and quickly puts it on, as she can sense her master’s nervousness through their newfound bond.
After putting on her new dress, she does a little swirl and looks at Nyx expectingly.
“So how do I look master?” she asked while putting on a little mischievous grin.
“B-beautiful Raven, you are perfect.” I blurted out, without even realizing.
“T-thank you master” Her face goes red from embarrassment
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
“Nyx are you okay, I hear an unfamiliar voice in there!”
“I’m oka..”
The door swings open, and the old man walks in. He stops for a second as he’s taken aback by the unfamiliar female standing by me.
“I didn’t know you had company; do you want me to give you a minute?” He said, but in his mind, he thought differently *man these youngsters sure do move fast… oh to be young again*
“Uh… its not what you look like, this is my fairy. She is linked to me since I’m technically a dungeon core. I know you told me to wait till tomorrow to try my abilities, but I couldn’t help myself…”
“I see… Well keep this a secret, a fairy is also a dungeon’s weakness. If she were to perish you would go mad, losing all sense of reason.”
“He is right master; a fairy shares a mental connection to the master. If I were to perish you would feel a never-ending hole in your emotions, which would result in you losing your mind after a few years.”
“What is your name fairy”
“Raven Erebus, master just named me recently.” She did a little bow towards the old man
“You gave her your last name? Well good… I can play this off as your sibling, I will enroll her in the academy as well.” Feeling more paperwork landing on his shoulders, he lets out a long sigh before making his way back to his office.
“W-well at least that’s settled, so from now on call me brother not master when we are not in private.”
“Understood master… I mean brother” She giggles as if she finds this whole situation laughable.
Still a human dungeon, the other fairies aren’t going to believe me when I tell them about it… A blessing and a curse maybe? I get to explore the world with my master, but that’s also dangerous as a dungeon’s whole defense mechanism is hiding behind floors of traps and monsters.
