Hello viewers. "Author Chats" are going to be a new chapter that will be posted after every story. Basically, it's just me talking to you. (Also it helps the story gain more attention because that's what it needs right now) I guess it's just an extended form of the Post-Chapter Author's note.
That's what "Author Chats" are. Now onto the chapter.
The first chapter was probably the most important. Its where you decide how the character would shape out. So far, I've only received two suggestions and only one was complete. I'm hoping that this chapter will attract some more viewers before I start writing the story.
But I do feel that two out of my 6 questions were answered. In both suggestions, the character was male and his main stat would be intelligence. I like the sound of that so I'll be keeping that.
The remaining questions would be:
Question #2: What race do you want to be?
Question #3: What is your alignment?
Question #4: What class are you?
Question #5: How old is your character? (No older than 35)
You can answer these in the comment section down here or in the previous chapter. You can also comment about anything you dislike or are confused of in this chapter.
Now, I wanted to give you an example of how the story will work out with viewer interactions.
Every so often, I will prompt you to answer a question. These are viewer interactions. These viewer interactions will be bolded. For example:
It's been a long day and she doesn't look too happy. She walks up to you expecting a response. What should you say?
Then, I would give you a list of answers to choose from.
1 - "Suck it up! We've got to get going!"
Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
2 - "You seem tired. Are you okay?"
3 - Ignore her and keep walking.
4 - Awkwardly Chuckle and say "Long day?"
5 - "You must be tired, but we can't stop here."
Your choice matters alot. Each response triggers something different but they mostly interact with stats. Some may improve your physical stats while others improve hidden stats like relationship or courage. They also cause some events to change. In the Author Talks, that comes out maybe 3 - 6 days after the chapter, I will present the choice selected by the viewers along with the other responses. I'll also show you what they did to the stats, but not the events.
1 - "Suck it up! We've got to get going!" ( -1 to relationship)
2 - "You seem tired. Are you okay?" ( +2 to relationship)
3 - Ignore her and keep walking. (-2 to relatonship)
4 - Awkwardly Chuckle and say "Long day?" (-3 to relationship)
5 - "You must be tired, but we can't stop here." (+1 to relationship)
That's a viewer interaction. Now onto character choice.
A character choice is a choice that has extreme affects on the world and story. They will be italicized and bolded. I'll give you an example.
He lied to you, tricked you and betrayed you. He's murdered in cold-blood but he was the only one who stood by you. You know you can never forgive him for what he's done, but you can give him mercy. Do you kill him?
1 - I can't let him go. He commited the ultimate sin. I have judged his case, and sentence him to death.
2 - No matter what he's done, he was always there for me. I can't forget that. I've finished my judgement and I'll let him go.
These are very important , very RARE choices that change the story overall. I will present the choosen response in the "Author Chats" but not what they did. You'll find the result of your actions in the next chapter. (By the way. Some character choices can lead to a DEAD END meaning you'll have to go back to the previous chapter and choose something different. Viewer interactions can also come into play and choosing the correct sequence can avoid a DEAD END or give your character a buff/bonus.

Man that took some time to write. Tell my if you like this system I put in or if you want to see any changes. I'm quite content with the system, but I only know how it works in theory. It might be different when I actually put it to use.
Please make sure to type in your preferec character in either this "Author Chats" or Chapter 1. Thank you.
