The sun shined in my eyes as I opened them. As I stood up I noticed that I was laying in a very dense and untouched forest with different plants and little creatures going about their day.
I was mesmerized by the bright vibrant colors and beauty this world had to offer. I couldn’t believe that this place was as dangerous as Gaia said, but considering I could have died from a slime, I need to move quickly.
I stood up and grabbed the stuff that was with me at the time, I had on the same gear I arrived in the tutorial with, my stone spear, and my stone axe.
Puting my other tools inside my satchel and grabbed the long spear. Then I began to carefully walk about the forest, looking for a good place to begin building a house. As I walked I viewed all the plants and food that I could see in the forest. Just like picking the magic skill gives you the chant for the first spell and some other information, picking [crude potion making] skill did the same. So within my jornal, I had a few pages listing good starter potion ingredients for a {Crude healing potion} and a {Cured mana recovery potion}.
I wanted to document the plant I found along with some of the fruits and berry, but shelter was a necessity first.
After walking for around 30 minutes, I encountered my first true monster. It was a horned rabbit like in the tutorial, but unlike the tutorial it had a longer, sharper horn and was as white as snow with blood red eyes.
“....oh god….killer horned rabbit?” I said softly as I viewed it munching on some berries.
It didn’t want to attack the thing so I decided to leave but like an idiot I didn't look where I was going and stepped on a twig.
“CRACK!!!”
‘Well crap….’ I thought as I turned just in time to dodge the incoming rabbit horn with only a light scratch on my arm.
I didn’t give the rabbit anything to recover and stabbed my spear straight for it. However it was too fast, and moved away from my strike as the spear hit the forest floor.
The horned rabbit turned and jumped toward my head, and as I tried to dodge again I tripped on a tree root due to the denseness of the forest and fell down.
I stood up as quickly as I could to block any incoming attack but to my surprise, the rabbit was stuck on the trunk of a tree which had been behind me when I fell.
“Dude…..you messed up.” I said as I hit it on the head hard with my spear. It took about 5 [Strong hit]s to take it down as it was very dense, but hey, I got food for today.
After cramming the big horned rabbit into my bag I continued on into the forest, this time trying my best not to grab any unwanted attention to myself.

After 4 long hours of walking with a few water breaks, I found the perfect spot to live in. I had stumbled upon it by accident, I was chasing after a bastard green squirrel with horns who stole a fruit I took a long time to grab.
When I managed to get it back, I heard the sound of raging water and when I went towards it, I found a large open area next to a massive straight cliff side with a tall waterfall cascading into a large lake which seemed to be connected to a river around here. There was a lot of space to work with and an abundance of food and resources, sure there were a few large boulders stuck in the ground here and there, but I could use them for other things.

I looked around the area to see if I could spot signs on any animal living here. Far from the lake on the walls of the cliff were a lot of cave entrances both big and small which all connect into a large space within the cliff side, but there was nothing in there.
The lake was also very deep in a few parts, with big fish swimming around. I thought they were dangerous and would attack me, but they didn’t do much and ignored me.
Having a closer look at the giant waterfall, I found a very spacious area behind the falling water, big enough for a cargo plane to fit in here. It looked completely uninteresting, and made you feel like there was nothing in there. However as I went deeper into it I felt as if the cave was getting….odd??? And soon enough the status screen popped up in my face saying…
You are entering a dungeon
“Hell no” I said Sprinting back toward the exit. No way was I ready to take on a dungeon, plus there are dungeons in this world!!
As I ran back to the entrance of the cave I decided to avoid entering the dungeon for a while, but it really was a lucky find.
In most games and RPGs dungeons harbored a lot of resources like ores, plants and ever wood. Although you have to watch out for the monster being able to find ores would be a great advantage.
However I wasn’t really sure if this place was like dungeons I know of. I mean this isn’t a game no matter how game-like it seemed so what I know or think I know about dungeons could be wrong.

Well let's stop stressing over it for now and prepare for night fall. I began everything by making a new pickaxe. I left my last one back on the floating Island, so I quickly made one and got to work.
I first broke a bolder down into small chunks and made it into bricks for a fireplace. After placing it in a circle I stacked up a lot of wood inside but didn’t light it yet.
I then went over to the river bank some ways away from where I was settling and gathered a lot of clay. I made around 5 trips getting a bunch of clay for what I was doing. Once I had enough I sat down on the ground and began to mold a small pot out of it. I made the base first giving it a flat bottom and then rose the top wall around it.
Then I made a lide wide enough for it and let them dry in the sun as I moved on to the next thing. I took my axe and went on to chop down some long branches from small trees. Some had bark to though got my stone axe to even penetrate, but others were just fine for what I wanted to do.
Pulling all the branches together I made a tent from it so that I may sleep with some shelter today. There were a lot of holes within the stick tent but it was functional for a temporary place to live. I then added some leaves and long grass as a bed for myself.
After that was done I went back to where my pottery had dried a little and put them into the fireplace by my stick tent and covered them with grass, leaves, and fire wood. Then I lit the fire to cook them real nice.
While that was cooking I took my axe and chopped down skinny trees to use to build a better house. I was not going to finish this in one full day, so I made that tent to sleep in for the time being. After dragging back around 50 really long skinny trees and left them out in the open to dry. I heard that you couldn’t use trees straight after you chop them down as it's still full of moisture and wouldn’t do well for building.
Next I went on to cut a lot of the long grass around and laid them out to use for the roof later. It was around 7pm when I cleared the ground of grass where I would start building my house at. At that point my pot finished cooking completely and I cleaned it in the lake.
Afterwards I heated up some water within the pot for a while adding fire wood every now and then till it boiled. In the meantime I carved out a bowl, spoon, fork, and cooking utensils.
After the water began to boil I used the spices in my bag and the poorly dismantled rabbit, I managed to make a rabbit stew.
I knew how to cook since my mom said it was a valuable skill to learn, but I wasn’t too good at it. The stew was pretty mushy but eatable. I could likely keep this for a day or 2 before it spoils.
After eating I sat down by the fire with my spear looking to upgrade it. The rabbit's horn was stronger than the stone, and I could only cut it with this Iron knife I had.
I removed the stone spear head from the pole and using the heated iron knife to make incisions in the horn, I managed to attach it. Now the spear might be a lot better than last time.
With nothing else to do as night fell, I went to sleep with one eye open.

For the next 5 day I worked hard to make a wooden house to the best of my abilities. I had no idea how I was going to build this place or how to do it, but I began by making a shovel and digging the ground for the foundation.
When that was done I placed long wooden beams where the corners of the house should be and started from there. I carved areas in the wood to make them work like puzzle pieces to make the house with, which I messed up a lot on, but worked with it.
But on the 3rd day, I had finished it. The walls were mostly large logs just secured underground with 3 windows. One on the front and a wooden door with a poorly made lock. The roof was a miracle in my eyes, the large tree trunk I chopped down was used as the central pole of the house. Attached to it through holes where the roofs support. Then from the outside I layed down the logs I had and attached them with some fibers. Then using smaller sticks, the now dried grass I had, and some more clay, I patched in the large gaps in the ceiling and made this! Of course getting up there I need a ladder which broke a few times due to poor crafting skills, but I soon made one that didn't break….yet.
Anyways through my large efforts and long time spent building it my status updated.
