Everyone wants power, but power isn't everything it's hyped up to be.  Shade is one of the most powerful beings on the planet, a dragon. From a young age, he set out to use his power for good, wanting to change the world for the better. What he found though was a world filled with fear, hatred and racism towards dragons. Crimes he didn't commit were pinned on him, corruption he exposed covered up. Eventually he gave up on doing things the 'right' way and became a vigilante, spending years hunting down those he thought of as evil.  More and more evil people though popped up every day, and after years and years of killing, his morals, values and ideals slowly began to fade away. He committed heinous and terrible acts, convincing himself they were in the name of doing good. He became the most notorious criminal in the world, and was dubbed 'The Black Devil', a walking calamity. One day though, he disappeared without a trace. A few years after his disappearance, a fairy in search of power claimed to have killed him, but it was a lie. The truth was, Shade had started to realize just how awful of a person he had become. As he started to look back at some of the things he had done, he found he couldn't recognize the man he now was. So he spends his days pretending to be a human, going town to town drinking his eyes out, trying to drown the memories from his mind. Its been 10 years of this with no end in sight. Until one day, while in a random town in the middle of nowhere, after all the bars were closed for the night, he sensed someone with overwhelming power. Curiosity getting the better of him, he went to find who this person was. Little did he know that simple curiosity would send him down a path to change the world, and force him to face the skeletons from his past he's been trying to drink away.
