Chapter 6 - Majere at the bedside
Norman and Leonardo stood quietly in the background while Professor Majere stood in front of the bedside and cast his analysis spell. The air around Samanael glowed with magical symbols and the glowing aura made visible. Even Norman could tell that something was wrong.
"I know what's wrong with her. I also know what the culprit is up to." Majere vigorously wiped his hand through the air once and the magical illusions disappeared. Wordlessly, he turned around, picked up his coat from the clothes rack, put it on and made his way to the door.
Leo stood in the way: "So, can you help her? What's wrong with her? What's wrong?"
Despite the golden mirrored sunglasses, Leonardo felt the dean's steady gaze resting on him as the professor stared at him dumbly. The student stepped nervously to one side. As he tried to strut past him, however, Norman stepped into his path. And he ignored both the determined look on his face and the commanding look that was meant to shoo him out of the way: "You can't just leave! You have to tell us how to help her!"
The dean raised his hand slightly. An invisible force closed around Norman, rendering him motionless and lifting him a hand's breadth. With a casual wave of his hand, Majere levitated him to the side. Norman tried to resist the spell, but could only squirm slightly and to no effect. The dean walked past him, but then stopped: "Someone has thrust a magical dagger into her solar plexus chakra. The dagger must be coated with gallifreynium or be made of a similar alloy. Find the dagger and bring it to me. Then I can repair the damage."

"Why did they do this to her? What kind of magic is in the dagger? A death spell? Magic poison? How did that work?" Norman continued to writhe uselessly in the grip of an unseen force.
Professor Majere looked at him blankly: "Find the culprit. If you don't find him, there will be more murders. Of other angels. But you will always be too late. He can find and recognize them now. You can't. He can work magic that is impossible for you. You will fail."
"More murders? A serial killer? Why is someone killing angels?" Leonardo sounded a little overwhelmed.
"When he has reached his goal, you will notice."
Norman was slowly placed on the floor and was able to move again. However, he was careful not to get in the dean's way again: "How will we know?"
"Believe me, you'll recognize it immediately." He walked through the door and disappeared around the corner, leaving behind a room full of concerned, unsettled faces.
