Day 7
Sister is finally better now. She can understand words now. But she is still as curious as ever. Qian wore her glasses with a huge grin on her face as she flies to the swing I made from the vines earlier today. "Sister how about we play hide and seek." I widen my eyes something is wrong with Qian I can't read her mind. "Oh so you noticed me," a raspy male voice answered from Qian's body. My maid walked in when I said demon lord. No seriously that's what her status said above her head. (she means qian's body is possessed.) Laria smiled for a bit as she let a light go over both me and Qian.
Your maid Laria has successfully purified Qian of the Demon lord.
I didn't even see her titles and I can't even see Laria's level either. I'm more bothered by her class job said Valkyrie. And her race doesn't say Pantherian race. It says Angel. But I mean she looks like a panther maid. "I'm happy your both fine now nya," Laria said happily. I almost forgot one thing about her is that she ends her sentence with a nya. I don't even want to know why she has a accent with that.

"Just wondering why does your class say Valkyrie." Anyone and I mean anyone would be just as curious as me. "I don't know what your talking about," Laria said. Her blank stare was making even me uneasy. Qian seems to have fainted so I ran off to mother instead and asked Laria to watch sister. If anything that was my only option since Laria said she had to make sure there were no permanent damage to my sister. I also know that my status didn't change much besides my race, Hp and my mana. I am so happy that my vocals are fully developed now.
"There you are Tear I was just looking for you," mother announced from the kitchen. I look around at the state of the kitchen was in. There's a purple blob on the cutting board that even my level 3 appraisal can't seem to identify. The vegetables were cut beyond recognition. Mother was standing next to a bowl of soup. I identified that with appraisal and here's what I got. Poison soup XXXX, description: be ready to see if your stomach can last something that even melts the strongest metal in this world. If you do last from this be sure not to see the god of the dead because this soup will be your last one alive. "Mother I'm pretty sure that soup is not edible now. What exactly did you put in there." Seriously this kitchen looks like a war zone after a bomb was dropped. "Anything that I found edible and just added it into the soup. Like the Eruia, which you say was a lobster, the Gealis, which you said was a chicken and a lot of edible fruits and herbs."
Forget I ever even asked who it was for because her obvious look from her eye told me it was for both me and sister. When she thought I was joking my serious answer was identify the soup. Mother raised her green brow at me and did as I said. Her eyes widen as she read the description of the soup. Here's what I learned today never let mother cook for us again. Because those safe herbs for making food with can back fire with other herbs. And that I need a herbnology book as well as book on how to cook. I am never having mother step in the kitchen again if I want to be kept alive.
Day 8
I'm with grandfather today in his studies he asked why wasn't I with mother. I was like she's getting scolded by Laria for creating a monster soup today and yesterday was poison soup. Which I named Yama's soup. "Why is that my little grand daughter," grandfather asked. "Because one bite of that soup is your last bite and you die from it," Tear declares while holding out a vial of the soup to her grandfather to inspect. "I am never asking her for a meal next time but only her tea seems safe," grandfather mumbles. I hold a book out to grandfather. "This is the book Fiore's Journey," he said blushing. Wait when and how did you mix that into the children section of books. Aren't they supposed to be in a different category. Grandfather opens the book and his whole face lit up red. I hand him a kid book that I noticed.
Grandfather that sour face doesn't suit you at all. Where's your usual proud, bright and elegant personality. "The Human hero's story. Ah yes this brings back memories of the olden age when I was in my 50. The hero was called an ally of justice by many since he was a summoned hero from another world. Though he didn't really help us or our people. We categorize in the demihumans from the human's point of view. We're not seen as normal and considered less than person. The hero during that time helped the humans bring about peace by killing the demon lord Desa. But peace didn't really last long the hero married the princess."
I'm not even going to ask because Grandfather had that far away look and just handed me a history book instead. He said it was better if I read it myself. I had a feeling I shouldn't even try to pry it out of him. I mean who wouldn't when your butler looking grandfather just gave you the saddest look like your the end result of a pass era.
I head back to my room to Qian who smiles brightly and hugs me. Laria was with us in the room too but she had been creeping me out by sniffing my blanket for the past 45 minutes or so. I tried teaching Qian how to read but I was struggling with reading. "૱ is the letter a. The ⏇ in middle is a b. ᾩ is a C," Laria explained. What's with all these confusing symbols. "ͽ is a e. Σ is a D." (she's being taught but is confused by all the symbols.) "What's this one Qian points to ᵝ. "That's the y," Laria said amused. Sorry even if I mind read her I'd just get more confused.
Laria wrote them down instead. Here's the list: ૱ = a, ⏇ = b, ᾩ = c, ͽ = e, Σ = D, ᴪ = F, ᴂ = G, ₤ = h, ℘ = I, Γ = j, ᾱ = k, ◮ = L, ₪ = M, ᵴ = N, ᶋ = O, ℶ = P, ᶌ = q, ᵹ= r, ß = s, ▪ = t, ∰ = u, Φ = v, Ξ = w, ▩ = x, ᵝ = y, ᴟ = z.
Well you get it yea, definitely different from the normal one.
Day 9-11
Laria crammed me into learning the weird symbols. Qian was happy about learning. I'm sure Laria is just enjoying seeing my displeased look though. (I'm sure she fried her brain trying since she's like none of these made sense to her.) My brain couldn't take any more of it so I slept for the next two days. I'm really sure now that Laria is taunting me now.
Day 12
I rolled myself off the bed sluggish. It's raining outside so I feel even more tired than ever. Odd things aside (she means besides her mother's cooking and the Language writing and reading letters.)
You have acquired reading and writing of the humans (beginner) level 1. Now you are able to understand at least 5% written letters.
I wince at the window in front of me. So if I were to write my name it'd look like this: ▪ͽ૱ᵹ ΓͽΞͽ◮. Their T is a black small square. And I don't even know the logic for their langauge. Why would I want to comprehend something so complex it fries my brain just trying to fix the issue.
you have acquired all harpy language
Finally something useful though I'm sure that one is passive. I walk towards the library where mother's usually at. I stop at the door when I heard a voice being raised at mother. "- look here. I know that your the all powerful family put here by the beastmen King but things have changed Kam is the next king now Yuse." That sounds like the village elder or was it chief. (it's the latter one) "Look I know you have your complaints but if the past King wanted to attack humans for their misdeeds then that is his problem. Don't involve me or my family into this. We're retired from that line of work. I'm no longer one of the king's adviser. My father and I are now merchants. we have nothing to do with political struggles anymore." Wait hold the conversation please. Mother was a court official I thought she was just a noble who loved high class looking robes to wear.
The village chief stormed out of the library as I poked my head to look at mother.
