It looks like It didn't take much time for the doctor to examine my condition. She just checked several test results before asking my condition.
"Do you feel anything different or maybe pain or anything like that?" She asked me.
"Well, I just feel confused and a little headache."
I looked at the doctor once again, and she looked very young with that height and cute face. Even though she seemed very serious, the way she looked made her look very cute while working. She also asked the nurse beside her who had the same height around 140 cm and added to this adorable sight, but at the same time, she looked a little worried.
"Do you remember anything?"
I tried to remember something, but there is nothing that I can remember about this new body. This body of the other me is different from my original body in the first world because this body is more fit—there are muscles, and there is no fat. Since what happened to me was a transition, I thought I would get some memories, but it didn't happen. Yup, I tried to remember but failed.
"You can't?"
The doctor realized that maybe I can't answer, she tried to make sure and asked again. But she didn't receive the answer, she hoped for.
"Is there anything that you can remember?"
This question makes me a little puzzled because I didn't know how to answer this kind of issue after what happened to me. But in a split second, I chose to answer honestly. So, after that, I talked about myself in the first world.
I was born in Bandung, Indonesia. With the date and year, I talked about my family, my father, and my mother. Sometimes I saw the doctor frown, but I chose not to think too deeply about that. I talked more about myself, like my education, or anything that sounds formal to be known by the doctor.
Before the conversation ended, the doctor looked at the nurse and whispered something. She wrote something before asking me something again.
"Do you know this place is?
"Well, I do. I'm at the hospital, right?"
"Do you know where the hospital located?
"I don't know."
I answered honestly, the doctor who looked like expected that answer and threw me another word. It is more like an answer to her question.
"This hospital is located in Batam. Do you know Batam?"
Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.
Batam? Of course, I know about that. There is no way I didn't see a place that is well known in my own country.
"Of course, I know Batam. It was in Riau Province. It is borderline between Indonesia and Singapore."
The doctor again frowned her eyebrow before putting aside her pen and looked at me with a stern look.
"Just like we suspected, your brain has damaged after what happened to you. You feel confused, and a little headache must be because damaging your brain, which affected your memories."
It looks like the doctor assumes my first world memories as an illness? It must be when I was talking about something absurd or weird, which made her thought that. I am curious, what part of my story did she found ridiculous about?
After that, she stood up and said to me. "Alright, today is enough. Tomorrow we can talk again."
The room was quiet after the doctor and nurse were gone. The room itself didn't have many things, but I found a mirror, something that I care most about right now.
I got up from the bed and walked towards the mirror. The reflection in the mirror, I found myself, little different from myself in the first world. My body is thinner. I looked like an average-looking younger guy than before, maybe 20 years old or five years younger also had more muscle and fit that back. Lastly, I don't have glasses anymore. It feels weird, but at the same time doesn't feel different at all.
"This is the new me."
Feeling a little bit sad, but also a little excited to get a body much younger and fit than before. Looking around the room, I can feel how this room is more like a custody room. I don't find ventilation or anything for patients. Still, if I think that the patient was me who tried to kill himself and stalking suspect, maybe this kind of procedure was the norm in this world.
There is a more important thing that I want to try. The things that sent me to this world said that I will get a skill; this is also a fantasy world with magic. Now its time to try that.
[Status.]
I tried, saying it in my mind.
> Status

> Attribute :
>
> Strength : B
>
> Agility : C
>
> Intelligent : C

> Mana : D
The Status is somewhat disappointing, my Status looks bland with an attribute on a standard number, without anything extraordinary. Also, the skill, I had just one which didn't look strong at all.
If I'm not mistaken, those things said that my skill and gift only could be activated if I was working hard and meet some certain circumstances. Damn, this world looks like a fraud, after all.
[Mana Perception Activated]
When I activated Mana Perception, the world changed entirely. I can feel mana everywhere, in my body, in the air around me, not only that even I can feel as far as out of the room, above the room, below the room. My eyes can see the mana of other people out of the room, just like X-ray in one of the war games.
The next ten-second felt like an eternity, the more time I spent in Mana Perception Mode, the more information I got. Right now, I could know how many ants were in the room, mosquitoes outside the room. But just like a punishment. Maybe my brain can't cope with much information, in a split second, an intense headache attacked me. It was so strong that my consciousness faded away.
After feeling how the world changed, my world became blank for a short time, and I fainted.
