Scientifically speaking, there is no such thing as the center of the universe, but many would assume if you had to give a spot such a title, you’d choose the point the big bang started at.
In some ways this is correct, specifically this is the point in this universe has an outside connection, so if something were to come through, this would be the point. The first thing to come through, was, well everything. But now billions of years later something new started to trickle through. A new form of energy, disconnected from nearly every sense but the building blocks of which had been formed within the expansion of the universe.

This energy was just a trickle by the standards of the universe as a whole, but on an individual scale the energy poured fourth in a wave which moved through the universe passing over planets like specs of dust within the ocean.
Some time later, both absurdly quickly and after many, many a human lifetime, a small little planet known to the inhabitants as Earth was suddenly covered in this torrent. On the surface nothing changed, but slowly this energy would settle and build, filling up the universe and changing everything.
