"Since you decided to hurt me instead of stalling for time, there is no reason for me to hold back. Right?"
He bared his fangs. Two long canines were visible as Boian closed in on Viette.
"What are you going to do?" Viette asked while tears flowed from her eye.
"What do you think?"
"I am sorry. I am sorry. Viette is not a bad girl. I did not want to hurt you." Viette sobbed.
"You stab people with a fucking pencil if you don't want to hurt them? Is that how you do things in your town? Then you do evil laugh laughter after that. Right?" Boian scolded. He still couldn't swallow the fact that he got surprised by her sudden attack. He did not expect it at all. He knew she was stalling for time, so he only wanted to tease her and watch her cute reactions and excuses. He felt his confidence was bashed by her.
But that pencil, that fucking pencil, derailed his plan.
"I truly don't want to hurt you. I don't want to do anything to hurt you?"
"Does that even make sense after what you did? Why did you do that then?" Boian could sense the sincerity in her words. That made him more shaken. Either Viette was so good at fooling people or his senses had gotten dull. His confidence was getting blows again and again.
Boian couldn't understand her at all. From the beginning onwards, he smiled at him and treated him with enthusiasm. He kept observing her every action down to her slightest change in emotions, but he couldn't understand her. He discovered her communicating with her Aunt through the tapping method that was justifiable considering he was the intruder and she must have been wary of his presence. She wasn't scared of him except for the first few seconds when she saw him enter. After that, she was curious, enthusiastic, happy, dreamy, and excited. He did not want to believe all these emotions are faked or he was fooled all along by a girl who appeared to be a human. He had met countless monsters with different abilities and personalities, but none confused him like her.
When he teased her while watching the movie, he only wanted to see her new excuses to stall for time. Otherwise, why would he choose to wait until then to drink her blood? He would act courteously to a woman but he will not spend that much time with one that he just met.
It's just that Viette made him curious as well. The mystery in her made the sleeping adventurous spirit in him to awaken.
But her mood dampened when he teased her. Maybe she really thought he would hurt her that time. Still, Boian did not expect her to attack him. He only considered her as an extremely cute and weird girl with little scheming skills and a lot of mystery around her.
"IT'S BECAUSE MY MIND TOLD ME," Viette yelled with her eyes closed.
"I know you won't believe me. I never want to hurt you. You made me so happy because I was always lonely. I did not want you to die painfully. If my aunt comes back she will kill you. She is scary when she gets angry. She will cruelly kill you. If you hurt me in any way, you will die badly as well. I don't want you to die. Even if you die, I don't want you to die painfully. I can't do anything to help you since 'little spidey' was watching us. My aunt would punish me if I do something like that."
Boian was surprised by this. He watched Viette's tears pouring out. This time he could tell without using his senses that they were her real tears and they were her heartfelt words, unlike the multiple times she faked a cry. He couldn't help smile while looking at the closed-eye Viette. He slowly weakened his grip on her hands and the force on her body so she won't feel pressure anymore. He still kept his guard and awareness up. He fell for her trick once, but he did not want fall for it again.

"So?" He questioned. Even if she was manipulating him, he felt it was good to be so.
"I have a dream. A dream I want to achieve for a long time. I liked you since you are nice. I was really happy when you spend time with me and I started thinking about that dream again. My mind told me, I could achieve my dream with your help. It told me I have to try to kill you. If not bad things will happen. I don't understand why it told me that. I wanted you to help me and that won't happen when you died. I don't understand why my mind told me. Then I realized it was better that way since you are going to die painfully if I did not do something. I don't want 'little spidey' to kill you, I don't want my Aunt to kill you, I don't want you to hurt me and my weird power kill you. Since I thought you couldn't escape with 'little spidey' around, I tried to kill you by stabbing your heart. I wanted you to die instantly without any suffering. I pretended to be bad to fool 'little spidey,' not because I want to." She still had her eyes closed.
"Open your eyes."
"I don't want to see you looking at me with hate," Viette replied without opening her eyes.
"Haah...So you are saying you did not think I would be able to escape from this umbra..ummm this 'little spidey' of your aunt and you thought your Aunt is so strong to kill me brutally. Hmm. makes sense. But what was that 'mind told me' this and 'mind told me' that crap. And how the hell am I going to die if I hurt you? Aren't you a human?" Boian felt like having a severe headache. This girl was simply complicated trouble.
Viette opened her eyes and nodded her head with an "mmm" sound. Since she was pressed against the bed, it appeared like she was rubbing the bed with her cheeks. "Yes. The thing about my mind is a secret and I won't tell you. But if you hurt me, you will die even if I don't want to hurt you." She puffed her cheeks.
"Didn't I just hurt you? Why am I fine then? Why do you think hurting you would kill me?" Boian questioned back.
"It happened before. Uncle Morgan one day hurt me and he died. I did not want to hurt him. I did not want to kill him. I did not do anything at all. His eyes became empty and he struggled for a long long time in pain before dying. When Aunt came back that day she was cried, but she told me if anyone hurt me they will die horribly. He injured me at that time, you only pushed me down. That's why it did not affect you." Viette reopened the gate that held her tears again.
"Morgan? Who is that guy? You told before, you only know your Aunt." Boian sighed inside thinking how much tears did this girl had.
"He is Uncle. Uncle is an uncle like an Aunt."
"Ok. I understand." He did not understand her logic at all, but his head couldn't take it anymore.
'Someone died trying to hurt her? Is she bluffing to scare me?' Boian thought. Anyway, he didn't have much time. When Viette and her aunt was communicating through the code, he interpreted that the Aunt was going to take some time. Based on the time she said, he would have an hour more left. But since he took action, she might come earlier. Boian knew he did not have time to lose. He sensed a slight increase in Evil energy in the area. Thus he could assume that the supposed Aunt was an elder taking part in the ceremony. These elders didn't leave once the ceremony started. That would bring them trouble and hate from the Evil community. But he couldn't rely on that factor.
He had to carry on with his decision. Since this Aunt had a male Umbra Araneus she must have a female one. A powerful female Umbra Araneus could bring him a lot of trouble even if he escaped as it had a high chance and ability to track him. This was why he decided to dig deep and confront.
He wanted to imprint Viette. There were multiple types of imprints but an Evil being imprinting a human make the human transform and gain abilities from his species.
"Your aunt should be an Arachne?"
"Dunno"
Boian probed Viette's body and on her back, there was a small spider tattoo that was well hidden. It was an imprint that was more like a gift with limited consequence and powers. What he wanted to do was an imprint that made her transform into a being that obeys him. This type of imprint was tough to form and need to completely destroy and dominate any sort of resistance from the target. He did not want to kill her but just want to make her obey his commands completely. This way he will be able to use Viette as a bargaining chip and avoid fighting. If the Aunt valued Viette, he could get this Aunt on a leash. He would also be able to get his fill of blood.
But now she was saying he would get killed if he does so. He wanted to believe her but he had not experienced or heard about any instakill abilities or techniques that do that.
Boian decided to risk everything and stick to his decision. He understood this could be another stupid decision he made in the day, but maybe he was just CURIOUS about how hurting her will get him killed.
