Chapter 7 The Curtain Rises and Falls

Days passed as life fell into a monotone routine, wake up, go to ninja academy and try to learn the theory, train after the lessons to not fall behind the Konoha 12.

At first the 12 basic hand seals were unfamiliar, however after a while of continuous practice i am able to change fluently from one seal to the next. Although the speed was turtle like.

The training with Choji, Kiba, Shikamaru and Naruto continued, even though i didn't skipped the lessons anymore. Instead we 5 met up after school for a couple of hours to train. Naturally we used the academy facilities.

While we trained i enviously glared at them, holy moly they had the main cast halo. Shikamaru already could do all the academy jutsu but was just too lazy to be good in class, too troublesome in his opinion. Naruto and kiba mostly shouted about having awesome ninjutsu but their taijutsu (Art of physical Combat) was really strong, Kiba with his speed and strength and naruto with his never give up attitude and endless stamina.

And Choji was Choji, eating Chips all day long. Though his strength couldn't be underestimated. His punch packed a lot of strength.

How i know that? We spared and they beat the crap out of me. What for deadlast and near deadlast in class, Naruto and Kiba literally beat me within a few minutes. *Cough* ten seconds *cough*

Shikamaru didn't participated, too troublesome. Choji also spared with me but knocked me out with one hit.

Damn, I am probably more useless than Sakura when she joined the Genin Team. And this reason really made me view Sakura in a different light. No wonder she was deemed useless. Compared to Sasuke and Naruto she looked like shit.

However after all this failure I actually achieved something. Since I painstakingly trained with the leaf concentration exercise I am now probably able to do controlled jutsu. Why do you ask? Days before, about 2 weeks I tried to replace myself with the replacement technique only to end up somewhere I didn't wanted to be. Adding onto the fact that I used way more chakra than probably needed I was empty after a single try.

But now fear me, muhahahahaha, I am able to control my chakra to a certain degree.

Now I wanted to learn the 3 Academy Jutsus, but i kept myself within control. I should first learn Tree Climbing and Water Walking, after all it should add to my chakra control and waste less and less Chakra until i use the perfect amount!

The Shadow clone training wasn't a success in my case, I continued a few days but it doesn't make much sense if I get bedridden and a SINGLE clone does the training instead. I discovered something else, the fact that the amount of chakra in a person will increase if used entirely.

Kinda like working out. Thought the increase felt tiny, I still tried to drain my chakra every day.

Now i stood in front of a tree in my courtyard. I used a hand seal to gather my chakra under my soles. For a minute nothing happened as i stood there.

Placing one foot on the tree I tried climbing the tree, only to fail as the first foot slipped.

"Too less Chakra, again!" I mumbled as a gathered my chakra under my soles again.

*Crash*

"Too much Chakra.“

(AN: It’s me from the now, past me wrote the previous 6 & ½ chapters. Considering the factor that I don’t actually want to drop this idea, because it’s special. I will thus continue with vigor. At least when I don’t write on my Grand Magus. Right now I am in the University and kinda have to do a lot. But that is fine. Mentioning: I will change the view from first person to third person. Gives me practice for Grand Magus as well as the new book that I am working on. Going to learn from my mistakes and make a huge pile of chapters before releasing any serious webnovel. But not on this one. It’s going to be a fun fan-fic. *Cough* not for the mc)

Hashirama sighed.

‘No pain no gain.’

Even if he knew that it would probably be a long time before he could control his chakra properly, he was still frustrated.

‘Calm yourself, slow and steady.’

The Days passed as Hashirama lived his life in Konoha. The daily routing seemed too boring so the starting motivation slowly drifted away and the group of Kiba, Choji, Shikamaru, Naruto and even Hashirama began to laze around.

He couldn’t help himself. It was just too comfortable. Besides being a kid was fun. No trouble, no pressure and no responsibility. For what should he give it up for? Some Superpower that seemed so easy to get?

Besides, Hashirama still continued to train daily. Not for Hours, but every single day for at least one hour.

The sad thing that happened (at least for Hashirama) was the fact that the group of Shikamaru and Choji slowly but surely distanced themselves from him. Even Kiba became more and more of a bragger and ignored Hashirama and even belittled Naruto.

Hashirama was enraged. How dare they ignore him? After all they were friends and he hoped to become strong with them.

Only Naruto stayed with him. Hashirama cried inwardly and thought what for a great guy.

So it was no wonder that Naruto spend his time with Hashirama. They played, danced, laughed, learned, brawled and spent a lot of time together. Almost like brothers.

So it was no wonder that Hashirama imparted tons of advices from his previous life to Naruto. Naturally in a way that Naruto understood.

But Naruto still was the rash and loud kid who never gave up and had the dream of becoming Hokage.

When the time of graduation neared, Hashirama felt pathethic. He still hadn’t mastered the art of Tree Walking completely and sometimes even fell off. Water walking was a complete disaster, even stepping on the surface once wasn’t possible for him.

In the end Hashirama graduated the Ninja Academy with below average standards. Theory was a little bit above average but Hashirama didn’t cared and only wanted to pass.

In order to let the story unfold, Hashirama celebrated with his family instead of standing next to Naruto. After all, where else could Naruto get his famous jutsu and the bond between Iruka and Naruto was an important one. Even Hashiramas introduction couldn’t destroy that.

After celebrating with his family, Hashirama wandered around. Only for Naruto to appear from nowhere and drag him into the forest.

“Look! Hashirama, I can do clone jutsu. Isn’t this amazing? Now I can become a Ninja!” grinned Naruto with the most innocent smile ever seen.

Naturally I asked and Naruto explained the task from Mizuki. I knew it was a trap, but what could happen? We both looked at the scroll and Naruto showed me the shadow clone section.

Only the hand sign was there, along with a couple of really quirky explanations of the jutsu.

“Wow, this clone jutsu is really amazing. Apparently every clone can learn stuff, so you can learn stuff double as fast!” Hashirama hinted the future super training technique for Naruto.

Naruto, a little bit smarter than in the series, realized the fact and grinned like a child on Christmas.

Soon Mizuki arrived and started the entire explanation.

‘Yeah, now the story will unfold.’

Hashirama grinned inwardly as he witnessed the story he once watched as a kid to unfold.

“YOU ARE THE DEMON FOX!” shouted Mizuki before throwing the huge Shuriken towards Naruto.

‘Any Moment now… where is Iruka?’ Hashirama realized that something was wrong.

Naruto hugged his head in that moment.

*Thud*

*Drip*

*Drip*

*Drip*

Naruto stared at the figure who took the blow.

“h..hashirama? HASHIRAMA!”

With a thud, Hashirama fell onto the ground.

He coughed a mouthful of blood.

‘Probably penetrated my Lungs.’

At that moment Iruka arrived. Confronting his former comrade and friend, the fight began.

Iruka even started the famous childhood analogy and defended Naruto.

While I lay on the ground, I could only see some shadows moving forth and back.

*Cling*

*Cling*

The occasional sound of metal hitting metal appeared.

Liquid met my face as something dripped down.

“Hashirama….*Sob* Hash*Sob* Why*Sob* did you…*”

Another cough followed by blood flowing down the mouth, allowed Hashirama to speak:

“Why? *Cough* isn’t it because we are brothers? *Cough*, you have a dream *Cough* Don’t’ you *Cough* want to become *Cough* *Cough* want to become Hokage?”

More blood dripped down as the liquid from Narutos face increased.

Hashirama felt cold. He couldn’t feel his heart beating anymore. He only felt the slowly but surely vanishing pain on the chest.

With two fingers, Hashirama took his blood and smeared it down on Narutos forehead.

A small chuckling escaped Hashirama as his last words in this world were:

“Naruto….”

The last action caused Naruto to bail out in full motion, what greeted him were the empty eyes of a former friend. No, a brother.
