The relentless frigid winds of Frotia's northern wilderness sliced through the desolate landscape, their icy tendrils clawing at exposed flesh like vengeful spirits. Five figures, determined and shrouded in desperation, moved with a swiftness born of necessity.
“We need to move faster, we can’t believe that the general will keep his word and hold Hati and Skoll back” Argus spoke out of breath as they ran.
Argus, a luminous Light Titan, his golden skin radiating in the cold, ran with hair streaming like a golden comet. Silvery eyes created from his Moon Remnant; The Lunar Salamander; they mirror the moon's phases, and glitter with resolve. His chiseled, moon-enhanced muscles propelled him forward.
“Tsk, fucking wolves, can’t believe they betrayed the battalion. Damn it I hate Frotia” Ryden Yelled. He continued, "We know what Hati and Skoll do to deserters. Let's hope the general can at least take one of those bastards down."
The Hellscape Yeti, Ryden, a towering seven-foot giant with four arms, his auburn fur nearly impervious to the wind's fury, cursed the wolves that had betrayed their battalion. Ancient runic tattoos adorned his forearms, connecting him to his homeland. Tiger stripes streaked across his rugged face, a gift from his Obliteration Tiger Remnant. Fiery orange eyes smoldered with defiance.
*Hati and Skoll - The sons of Fenrir and Captains of his army. Fenrir is the king of Frotia.*
“The General’s name is Enkidu, The Warbeast of Babylon. Rumor has it he has over a million kills to his name, but there are no facts to support this, just hearsay.” Edrigan's words lacked emotion.
Edrigan, an enigmatic golem, stood six feet tall. His milky white crystalline body emanated an eerie glow, and his eyes shimmered with a faint green hue. A sapphire gem adorned his forehead, a remnant of the Luminous Spider. His rainbow crystal teeth gleamed as he spoke.
“Thanks Books, I could care less about who he is but more of what he can do for us. Hati is Commander of the Hunts, he will be hunting us until we reach Vastsea Gorge. There are still goblins in this forest so we need to be careful.” Xiah said, with a slight attitude.
Xiah was a Blacksin Scorpio, her skin a deep obsidian black, reminiscent of the night sky. Her eyes are a mesmerizing shade of violet and her black hair tied back with hints of indigo and dark green peaking through. Her scorpion tail swaying as she runs. Her Glass Assassin Lemur Remnant gives her sharp glass like nails.
“You just had to say something huh Xiah. I see a small group of goblins ahead charging towards us. We will need to eliminate them quickly if we are to keep this pace.” sighed Akiko as she looked at Xiah.

Akiko a half-breed Kitsune with striking black and white fur and viltilgo, creating intresting patterns on her skin. Her hair, flowing in dual shades, framed her fox ears. Her eyes, one solid white and one solid black, were gifts from her two Remnants: Auroran Fox and Umbral Fox. Three fox tails swayed gracefully behind her..
Akiko pulled out her bow and unleashed her Daybreak Dash, a burst of incredible speed bestowed by her Auroran Fox Remnant. She scaled a nearby tree with supernatural agility, a trail of light following her rapid ascent.
Daybreak Dash:
Remnant - Auroran Fox
Ability: Akiko gains incredible speed and agility during the day. She can dash with the swiftness of dawn, allowing her to close the distance between her and her target rapidly or evade attacks effortlessly.
Akiko swung the longbow over her shoulder and took aim at the incoming group of goblins. As she pulled back on the string holding a light from her hand formed around the arrow and created a Luminous Arrow. She held until the goblins were closer in range.
Luminous Arrow
Remnant - Auroran Fox
Ability: Akiko can imbue her arrows or projectiles with radiant energy, making them travel faster and hit with increased force. These projectiles can pierce through multiple targets in a single shot.
Argus Started yelling commands, “Ryden in front with me, Xiah flank, Edrigan, give us some support.” Argus gripped his spear and summoned his Lunar Whip. The whip materialized in his hand glowing with moonlight, intricate runes adorned the grip.
Lunar Whip
Remnant - Lunar Salamander
Ability - When Argus lashes out with the whip, it can deliver powerful strikes that not only cause physical damage but also have a calming and sedating effect on opponents. Those struck by the whip may feel drowsy and disoriented, slowing their reflexes and reactions.
“Go” Argus called as the team burst into action. They have been with each other for a few months and have learned what each of them can do.
Ryden growled in a berserker rage and went into a full sprint towards the goblins laughing maniacally. He pulled the large hammer off his back and held his shield directly in front of him. He hit the first goblin at full speed, sending him soaring through the air and into a tree creating a thunderous crack, and falling to the ground lifeless. He hit another, sending the creature sailing towards his clan. One clumsy goblin tripped over a route in the path of Ryden, and paid the price with a foot stomped into his skull. Ryden swung his hammer into the neck of a rather chunky goblin removing his head from his body.
A spear flew by Ryden's head and into a goblin about to slam its hatchet into Ryden's back. A glowing stream of white light whipped around Ryden, slashing goblins in all directions; disorienting them. The disoriented goblins were then penetrated with Akiko’s arrows.
Small Crystal Spiders began leaping onto the goblins wrapping them in webs. This was Edrigan’s Spider Swarm Ability. The goblins were now immobile and gave the opportunity for Xiah to slit their throats quickly and efficiently.
Spider Queen’s Swarm:
Remnant - Luminous Spider
Ability: Edrigan creates Spider Queen that push through his skin and can split from each other creating a swarm. Each time a spider splits it keeps half its power.
With the last goblin dispatched by Ryden's hammer, they paused briefly, their bodies splattered with goblin blood, freezing in the biting cold.
"We can't linger here," Argus panted, his breath forming frosty clouds. "We're soaked in blood, and night is approaching. We must find shelter."
Ryden, ever the cynic, retorted, "Alright, fearless leader, where do you suggest?"
Edrigan's monotone voice offered a solution, "Hollowhaven is a few hours' run south. Once we reach it, we'll be out of Fenrir's Empire. We can regroup there."
With unanimous nods, the group moved, but Ryden grumbled, "More running, just what I wanted." The distant howling from the direction they'd come served as a chilling reminder of their relentless pursuers.
Ryden's growl resonated with frustration, "Damn it, it's them."
