──── Never fuck with your superiors, arsehole. Just take it quietly, you understand? ──── Rookhug shouted. The last thing I heard when his fist slammed into my head was the only thing that cheered me up.
Congratulations! You've reached the minimum requirements to obtain the Warrior Class!
+1 Level! +1 STRENGTH! +1 CONSTITUTION! +2 Attribute Points! +1 Talent Point!
Perhaps because of the Grummsh Code acting alongside the system itself, obtaining the Warrior Class was much quicker than it should usually be. In any case, it was enough for me.
Without complaint, I just resigned myself to fate. I felt a strange energy strengthen my body, but indifferent to these facts, with a single blow, my consciousness dispersed.
With my mind wandering aimlessly, I began to hear strange words, felt my body burning in its bruised parts and a gentle touch on my forehead.
Despite being indifferent to how long it had been since my fall, my mind began to function sluggishly again. My eyes opened, seeing me in a different place.
With only a strange stone emitting light from a chandelier, I found myself lying on a rug made from the hide of some animal. Next to me, a female figure moved her hands slowly around my bruises, rubbing a medicinal mixture over them, a greyish paste.
I felt my body burn and the anger inside my heart exploded. Rookhug's last words sounded over and over in my head.
I tried to move, but I felt the woman's hand on my chest, placing me back down on the carpet. Of course, the excruciating pain I felt as I did so also prevented me from doing anything other than accepting that I would have to stay there, slumped over.
──── The sleeping beauty has awoken! How was the initiation as a Grunt? ──── With a strangely slender face, her clear eyes drew me in. Like an emerald, her eyes sparkled and her red hair gave her an exquisite appearance. Her small fangs and greenish skin gave away the girl's race, as did her exquisite beauty.
Like me, she's a Half-Orc. It seems that our existence is actually reasonably tolerated in this place.
──── It was difficult, but I managed to survive despite the hardships. My name is Raphael Smith, and you, miss? ──── Even though it was difficult to speak because of the searing pain covering my body, I let the words flow.
────. Raphael Smith? A strange name. My name is Bargara, I'm one of the Kuratorer in Balorat Mikar Village. ──── She seemed much less savage compared to the other Orcs in the village, perhaps because of her past? Who knows.
I had at least five fractures all over my body, scratches and abrasions. However, the heat coming from the medication applied to me seemed to cushion this pain and, unlike on Earth, I could feel something different in the air, mana. The mana served as a catalyst for recovery, speeding up the process. It was strange to feel it completely, but I soon got used to it.
As for the Kuratorer, they are the caste that takes care of injuries, medicine and local agriculture. Orcs are one of the peoples who know the most about anatomy, poison and healing itself, especially given their almost supernatural need for warfare.
──── Bargara... A beautiful name. It suits you, miss. What happened after I fainted? ──── I replied, still feeling the persistent pain.
──── Well, they just carried on with the training. They left you there until I arrived, it's normal for that to happen. Three other Grunts were injured and needed care. ──── With Bargara's words, I could only sigh. Orcs were trained like that, brutal.
──── I see. Me- ──── A terrifying sound came from my stomach. Hunger attacked me along with the pain, as did the shame that followed. My face turned a shade of purple amidst the green.
The laughter that followed only left me in a worse situation. If it weren't for the wounds on my body, I'm sure I'd be hiding underground.
──── Hungry, huh? That's all right. I was just going to get you something to eat. I'll go to Bwyta! ──── With an amused look on her face, Bargara got up and left the tent.
The Bwyta is basically the event in which everyone gathers round a large kettle in the evening to make soup, and it takes place every day. The Orcs' sense of community is powerful, they're close-knit.
With her gone, I was able to gather my thoughts to move on to the most important part of all! The winnings!
──── Status... ──── I whispered, apprehensive.

It was perfect. Even my Subclass has changed to Grunt, which means I should gain some interesting skills. However, it seems that the system has given me an extra skill.
All Main Classes have ‘Grades’, the Initial, Intermediate and Final. After the Final Grade, it becomes possible to change Class by completing certain requirements and passing the Class Mission. This process also evolves your Race, being a general increase in power.
However, a surprise hit me along with the thought of my luck.
[Basic Great Axe Mastery] would certainly come in handy, it really was my good fortune to have got something like that in the first place.
As for the Attribute Points and Talent, I already know how to proceed. My mind worked quickly, ordering the system to put those two points into STRENGTH.
Why did I do that, you ask? Probably because it's the most important attribute for the path I'm going to follow. A creature is completely dependent on this attribute, and to a lesser extent, constitution also comes into play.
Strength defines how physically strong your character is, each point of which is equivalent to 10 Mana.
What does this mean for a Warrior? The ability to acquire Potency through this fact.
For every 100 Mana Points, a Potency Point appears. But what is a Power Point in itself? It basically defines your ‘raw’ power, your destructive capacity in itself, as well as your durability. Earning Points also gives bonuses to attributes. Points earned are based on your Primary Profession/Main Class.
And when your Power reaches a certain point, you earn a Power Rating, which is the ‘Power’ meter in this world. It defines your destructive potential and durability. Because of this, Strength is the best attribute for a Warrior, at least initially.
As for Constitution, it refers to general health and physical capacity, whether it's HP or how long you can do strenuous activities without taking a break from Vigour. It can also be used as a substitute for Mana at higher levels, as well as being a requirement for some skills and equipment. 1 Point in this attribute gives 10 HP AND VIGOR.
Because of the gain in HP and Vigour, it is extremely important for a Warrior.
As for the Talent point, I decided to use it in the Offensive Branch of the Warrior Class.
You would like to learn [Affinity with Initial Armed Combat], 1 Talent Point will be required! Proceed?
Without thinking too much, I just confirmed it.
With all these changes, I felt my body vibrate with the unknown power that enveloped me, making my body much more fit for survival in this world.
In the end, my form looked like this…

After thoroughly assessing my power increase, my attention turned to footsteps coming from outside the tent. Bargara was probably there, returning...
