"What the heck did you do old man?! Why did you take Haruki away from Akemi?!" A man whose voice is not familar to Haruki can be heard shouting angrily outside of the cave Haruki was sleeping in. "You better return him right now! Or else I'll kill you!"
Haruki woke up from the sudden shout of the mysterious man, he sat up and stretched his shoulders as he looks outside of the cave still half-asleep. "Who the heck shouts at night..?" Despite his body still lacking the energy to move or even see Haruki was able to tell that it was already nighttime at this point of time.
"And I told you multiple time! I won't return Haruki for now!" El then shouted back at the unknown man, his voice was showing sign of anger but still he has a calm tone as he shout those words at the man. "Haruki needs to learn about his power! I know that Jarren wouldn't teach him or would forbid him to use his secret abiliy, as of right now we're with someone who could possibly be the strongest User of Soul Bound!"
Strongest User?! What does El mean by Soul what? Dammit! I knew that that dude was sketchy the moment I laid my eyes on him!
Haruki woke up from his half-asleep state and he was baffled to what he had heard from El. Although he didn't understood some of the words he said, nevertheless Haruki knew that there is something hidden in him that he himself does not even know, and that's what scares him.
"And that's why we need to contain his power as much as possible! Not teach him how to use it!" The man shouted back at El. "I know that you've seen it yourself, even someone who is strong like Jarren cannot control the true power of Soul Bound, not only that but we still don't know what's the true use of this ability can do and why it exists in the first place! Heck! Not even the Gods know about the existence of Soul Bound!"
A secret and dangerous ability?! What does he mean by that?! Does that mean I have one of those overpowered shitty broken ability like any isekai protagonist have when they get transported to another world?!
Haruki was speechless, he doesn't know how to describe his situation right now. Yes, it makes him happy that he has a secret overpowered ability but even so he was still afraid of what this secret ability could be, just him hearing the tone of the man's tone when talking about his ability is enough proof already that this secret ability of his is not something he should carelessly use.
But knowing himself he knew that he would unknowingly use that secret ability and wreck havoc around him, which is why he understood that whoever this man is was just trying to protect Hell from the secret ability that he have.
"Wait protect Hell..? From me..?" Haruki realized the possible goal of the mysterious man outside, if his secret ability is really as dangerous as he thought it is then he needs to do something or else something might happen without him noticing.
Haruki stood up and felt his body hurts from sleeping on the hard stone ground, but it didn't matter to him because all he wants to know is whatever his secret ability is. "Hey! What do you mean by Soul Bound?!" He shouted at the two as he ran toward them.
The two looked at Haruki who saw him already in front of them, his eyes was filled with anger but it was directed toward El. "El... Don't tell me that you're planning on using me in some weird experiment?" Haruki asked El with a voice filled with fear.
"Of course not, you've porbably just misundertood what you heard from our conversation Haruki." El replied and the mysterious man nodded at the El's response.
Haruki looked at the man and was shocked at the man's appearance. He was a muscular and has a two big horns, his claws were very sharp and his height was about 9 ft minues the horns, not only that but on his chest was a gaint scar that looks like the letter 'x'. If Haruki could describe the man in one word it would be terrifying.
I better not make this dude my enemy...
"From what I've heard, do I really have a special ability of some sort? I believe you called it Soul Hound or something along the term?"
"*Sigh* Soul Bound." The man replied. "It is a dangerous ability that can potentially destroy anything it came in contact with, in the past a former User of the Soul Bound ability managed to damage the entire course of Hell itself, it just goes to show how powerful that ability is."
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
El looked at Haruki with a serious look and put his hand on Hariuki's shoulder. "As of right now the origin of the ability is still unknown, even the Gods across different Mythologies might have not heard of the Soul Bound ability, which is why to this day we still don't know how to obtain Soul Bound, we only have theories on how it could appear on an individual, but that's just it. Nothing but theories and no concrete answer."
"Which is why I and the other Generals want to you to come with us."
"Wait, your a General?!"
Isn't that one of the so-called Demon Generals of Hell chased us a while ago?! The girl who El called as Akemi Leviathan from what I remember is the General of Envy, so does that mean that the man who El is calling as his friend; the man who El said is gonna help us; the man who is standing right in front of me right now a General of Hell like Akemi Leviathan?! Then that means we're screwed! This gigantic dude looks way stronger than Akemi!
"Don't be afraid Haruki... Akemi and I means no harm to you, we only want to help you especially to re-"
"What this enormous guy means is that the Generals are not the bad guys, the reason we ran from them is because I want to teach you myself how to control or even activate your ability, because they won't let you use that ability of yours"
"Of course we won't! Haruki doesn't even know the basics of Magiacraft or the basics of Mana, so why would we let him use Soul Bound if he has no idea what the fundamentals are?" The man responded to El whilst looking at him dumbfoundedly.
"Well, there are some cases where people use magic without knowing the concept, principles, law, and basics of Magiacraft."
The man was speechless at what El said, it was like he was looking at a poor child who was dreaming about doing something impossible without thinking that there are hurdles on the way, nevertheless he decided not to response back to El but instead look at Haruki with a smile. "From the place you came from, my kind are viewed as despicable and evil species, but I'll tell you this... As any sentient being, we also feel like what any humans feel in their entire life. We feel pain and we feel love, which is why I want you to believe in me and let your doubts go about us demons."
Haruki looked at the ground in doubtness, the man word's stung him like the same as before with El. They basically said the same thing to him but it affected him more than he thought because there are now two demons who have said that to him right now instead of one, and that's what makes him doubt his humanity side more. All his entire life he knew one thing that majority of humans agree with; is that demons are evil beings that temps you away from your faith in God or Gods, and no matter what religion you came from its always the same concept.
An evil race who lives in the underworld and fights against the Gods is presengt at most religions, even if the names or the way it was written was different it was nevertheless the same thing, and it is what humanity believe in. Now, it makes him doubt himself, though he was sketchy of El to this day Haruki could feel that El doesn't want to harm him in many way and the same goes for this enormous demon in front of him.
He remembered the time they were still at the cliff, when he looked at the city Haruki was still in awe on how it functioned. Though by appearance it looks like the city was stuck in the medieval era, but what made him impressed the most is that the demons living there in the city all act like what humans do in their daily lives. The children playing, people walking or in this case flying to their work, they have their own culture, and many more. For Haruki it was just like he travelled in another country back on Earth.
Though he knew that it might sound heretical, still he has no choice but to believe these two for now. "I'll do my best to believe in you guys."
The man smiled at Haruki and the same goes to El, the two looked at each other still unsure of what they plan to do next but El gave in. "I'll let you bring him back, but only with one favor."
"Sure, what is it." The man smiled happily.
"I'll sneak Haruki out sometime to teach him myself, is that a deal?"
"Deal!" The man and El then fistbumped after that, whereas Haruki was looking at them confusedly at the sudden change of the atmosphere.
"What the heck just happened?"
"Don't mind." El replied. "Haruki, I can see that you're afraid of Soul Bound, so do you want to come with him to ensure that you won't use it in accident?"
Haruki looked at El with eyes filled with passion, he understood fully that whatever this Soul Bound ability is is not safe. Not only that but knowing that he could be a ticking time bomb and might explode near someone soon is what makes him afraid of the ability, right now he doesn't know what to do if he accidentally kills someone with this unknown ability of his. "Of course, if it means I can portect not only myself but everyone around me then that's fine for me."
"I'm happy that you are raised very well..." El patted Haruki on the head and smiled in joy as he look at Haruki looking chivalrous from what he said.
"Then it's time for us to go now." The man opened a portal in front of them and it made Haruki eyes sparkle in excitement.
A portal?! So these thing really do exists?! Oh boy, I wonder if I can ask El or whoever this man is to teach me how to create a portal.
"Oh rigfht I forgot to introduce myself." The man looked at Haruki and stood straight as he bowed at Haruki. "I am the General of Wrath, Satan or Satanael!"
