Chapter 4: The Envious Princess Chase

As the two were running deep in the forest, they felt a suddcen chill that made them stop from their track. El knowing what that feeling was from and where it came from immediately stepped forward to protect Haruki. "Looks like Akemi Leviathan is serious..."

El looked at Haruki with a mischievous grin. "Haruki, I already contacted someone to help us, I estimate he would come in about 5 minutes or more, so before then I ask you to run. I'll handle Akemi on my own."

"On you own?! Are you suicadal old man?! You just said that this Akemi person has enough firepower to make the entirety of Hell into an ice age! If you're planning on fighting her heads on, I apologize but your senile bones wouldn't last a second with her!" Haruki pleaded for El to stop, though Haruki wasn't sure how strong exactly El is but seeing his appearance he knew that this man is about 60-70 years old whereas Akemi is about the same age as him.

Not knowing how to respond to Haruki's remark El could only sigh at him and put his hand on his shoulder. "Haruki, trust me okay? I may look suspicious but I promise you, all the things that come out of my mouth are things I feel inside. So if I say I can beat her, then I can!" A bright light glew on both of El's hands, he looked at the direction where Akemi came from and let out a sadistic smile.

"Light from light, no matter how dark just believe in the power of light, no matter how difficult; no matter how dangerous; the light always find the answer!" His entire body started to emit a bright yet soothing light, he then started to to out his hands together; like a prayer in fact. "Tertia Lux."

"Magecraft?!" Akemi was blinded by the bright light, she covered her eyes as fast as she can but still she continued to run toward them. "A devil using light as his main element... But this is no magecraft, this light definitely came from a Sacred Weapon..."

Akemi let out a loud roar, it was like that of a dangerous beast letting out its warcry. "My feelings is what I follow... Through hardship; through animosity; through envy! I gain the power of the legendary Leviathan! Come forth my Envy!"'

The light stopped moving, it was like it's frozen in thin air, but the moment Akemi opened her eyes the light started to move toward her. And in a blink of an eye the light that El released was absorbed into Akemi's body. "This light... This is no ordinary light!"

She looked at the direction where the light came from and saw that the two-- Haruki and El disappeared without a trace, Akemi stood straight and wiped the dirt on her yukata. She put her fingers on her ear and it started to let out a blue light. "This is Akemi Leviathan, I have a report to make about Haruki.'

A voice that came from a man came out of the light from the tips of her finger. "What is it? Did you retrieve him? You know that I wanna meet him already."

"That's the bad news, someone unknown took him; someone who can use light magic."

"Light magic?" The man was shocked at what Akemi said. "Hmm... Even among the Archdemons, only a few of us can use light-type magic... And if this man can use light magic then could it be?!"

"Yes, those were my thoughts too. For now, I want you and Shota to help me find Haruki and the mysterious man, and I want you to tell Lucas and Sora to guard the castle."

"Sure... I'm still pissed off, how could we let someone took Haruki without us noticing him enter the sealed temple..?"

"That's a question I cannot answer..." Akemi answered in a monotone voice, she looked at the ground with a gaze filled with wrath. She wanted to scream at herself for failing at a task that she was given to do, but she thought that screaming is not gonna help either, the only thing she can do now is to ensure that she can track whoever took Haruki and finish her mission without worry.

The man sighed and let out a deep breath. "Okay, I'll do what you asked me to do. Ifrit reporting out."

The light on Akemi's fingers then dissipated, after that Akemi looked at the direction where she has last seen El and Haruki and she gritted her teeth. "Haruki, I will save you from that man... No matter how I get may hands dirty, I will find you..." Akemi then turned around and left, she pulled out her wings and then flew above the sky.

----------------------------------------

Haruki and the mysterious man named El managed to run away from Akemi Leviathan, as of right now the two are staying in a dark cavern that's hidden in the flora's around them. El was outside of the cavern checking if Akemi managed to locate their currenent location, whereas for Haruki he was looking at El suspiciously.

El Elyon... A man so mysterious that can easily charm someone with his amazing words in creating a speech, what he said abotu the demons makes me wants to believe him, yet there is still something odd about him... I cannot put a finger on what exactly it is, but it still feels like he is hiding something big from me.

His gazed caught the attention of El, Haruki then responded with a smile and he went toward El. "Hey El, how long are we gonna stay here?"

"Right now, there is someone I know coming for us, but I need to warn you something about this friend of mine Haruki..." El with a serious tone answered Haruki's question, his mannerism in talking was calm yet there was something chilling on the way he implied his warning.

Haruki hearing this gulped and shook from El's statement, nevertheless he maintaind his coolness and replied. "What is it..?"

"This friend of mine is either gonna help us or report us to Akemi if he sees you."

"If he's gonna tell Akemi, why did you ask him then?!" Haruki replied in a stupified voice when he heard what El said. "If you know that there is a 50% chance of him telling on us, then why did you ask him then? Are you that stupid?"

"It's not that, it's just because he's the only one we can rely on... As of right now, I cannot go outside of this cavern due to the risk of being find out by Akemi, especially since the place we are in right now is located in Akemi's domain... So going outside is not an option for us anymore. But this friend of mine has access to every domain and can help us escape this forest quickly if he helps us...'

"So we're betting on the chance that this friend of yours will help us..." Haruki clenched his fist in rage, he coukdn't blame El at the predicament they're in but his suspicion of him grew bigger everytime he interacts with El. Just the way El talks to Haruki made Haruki feel that there is more in this situation that meets the eye, but right now he could only accept El since he is the only one he can trust right now.

"For now, why don't you stay inside and take a nap, you must've been tired from travelling to hell and running from Akemi. So take your time and rest, I'll wake you up if he's here."

"Okay..." Haruki went inside the cave withiout any issue, he looked at El one last time who was still on guard outside. "Just what is happening today..?"

He sat on the ground with his hand on his head signifying his disbelief. "It was just suppose to be a normal day with Homura and Asahi, but instead I got taken to Hell..."

Haruki was laying on the ground shaking, he could only hug himself as he muster up his courage to not let a single tear out. Even right now, he wasn't able to process the events of this day; he wasn't sure to whether believe if this was just a bad dream or not, yet he understood fullhy well that there's no chance that a dream like this couldn't be real. Everything right now; everything he felt; everything he has seen; everything he has touched all feels real to him, and that's what scared Haruki the most.

He bit his lips and couldn't handlem the pressure if what's happening right now, a single tear appeared and soon was followed by multiple more. He grew tired of thinking and processing everything that has happened to him right now, he could only accept defeat and believe that everything that he has experienced is not mere fiction or a dream, but instead he accepted it as the truth.

El looked at Haruki who had grown tired of crying and has fell asleep, a single tear fell on El's eyes and he quickly wiped it with his hand. "I'm sorry Haruki Mimasaka- no, Haruki Hotaru for everything that I have done to you today, you might hate me in the near future but I promise that I'll guide you with with my fullest starting today..." El, the man who has only kept a straight face at Haruki has finally shown his emphathy toward Haruki, he looked at the sky in defeat and apologize one last time. "My family... Everything will change now that Haruki is here..."
