We had been following Ice for hours now before Prince finally snapped, "How much longer until we get to the Fire Kingdom?"
Ice eyed him then looked around before finally answering, "I don't know? I'm not for sure where we are?"
"How...Just how did you manage to get lost when there was a ROAD!?" Prince yelled.
Kitty spoke up from her perch on Ice's shoulder, "Ice has never been very good at directions. He always gets lost no matter what. That's why you really shouldn't let him lead...ever."
"Why didn't you tell us that sooner?" I asked, concerned.
"You never asked." Kraken spoke quietly. This squirrel seemed only able to speak in a very soft voice.
I sighed, "Well now what? Which way should we go?"
"This way!" Ice answered, pointing toward the west.
"Yeah no." Prince responded, giving Ice a deadpanned look, "We're not letting you lead anymore." Ice looked a little hurt but seemed to know better than to try and argue.

"Do fairies have any way of finding their way?" Invent asked.
"Well...in a forest you want to head in the direction that the moss is." I answered. I noticed their confused faces, so I added, "The moss on trees...the side of the tree that has moss on it leads to civilization...however I've heard that it's actually reversed when you're trying to find the Fire Kingdom since they don't have trees. So.... if we went by that rule then we need to go this way!" I pointed south. We went that way until we eventually came upon some type of huge area. There were remains of old buildings, just the barest hint of an ancient civilization.
"Where are we?" Invent asked.
Prince thought for a second before finally answering, "I have no idea. None of my father's stories ever mentioned this place." I looked toward Ice to see him staring at the ground. His expression a mixture of sadness and anger. For a split second I swore I saw a man standing beside him, dressed in all red.
"Ice." The man seemed to say sadly before just vanishing as Ice shook his head.
"This place is long dead. We should go. Dead places like this breed monsters." Ice spoke as he turned to the left and walked away.
Prince shrugged, "Nothing to be gained from staying here and he's right that ancient places like this are the perfect spot for monsters to stay." We followed after Ice.
"Did you guys see that man?" I asked. When both Invent and Prince shook their heads I continued, "Maybe it was my imagination then?" Was he a figment of my imagination or was he a ghost of the past? He seemed to know Ice by name and yet...I had a feeling he didn't exist. He showed concern for Ice, but he had yet to appear before now. Was he connected to whatever used to be their? I shook my head since there was no point in thinking about it.
