Chapter 7

Adolé’s unconscious body floats to the top of the water and time slowly passes. As the sun rises to its peak, Therion appears beat and battered.

“That old man could have pulled some of those attacks, seriously, he doesn’t show me any kindness. " Therion complained as he rubs his back.

Therion suddenly gets a shiver down his spine.

“Afternoon Therion. I hope you have come prepared. The training menu I’ve pr pared for you is special and will have your body react instinctively to the most subtle changes. You won’t even need that magic you shit around with. come, let us begin your training." Minerva said menacingly.

"ummmmm. Minerva, no, enlightened one, my queen, my benefactor, great one, fair maiden; if I have offended you, I apologize, please take care of me." Therion asked as he hugged Minerva's leg and begged.

"Have no worries young one." Minerva just shows and kind and loving smile.

"I intend to do exactly that, I have already forgiven you."

"re...really?" Therion asks nervously.

"Of course, how could continue to hold a grudge over something so minuscule. You are one of the younger generation, so of course, you have much learning to do in the art of wooing a great woman such as myself." Minerva said confidently as she put on the air of a great elder.

Therion couldn't contain his laughter any longer, and soon was holding his stomach as he laughed all over the floor.

"you? a great woman? ha ha ha ha ha, stop it. A woman as old as yourself should not try to play the role of the victimized "fair maiden." You are well past that age." Therion said as he continued to laugh.

Minerva becomes a silent storm and disappears from where she was standing.

"Huh?" Therion finally realized Minerva was no longer standing in the same spot, but it was too late. When Minerva reappeared, her entire hand had clinched around Therion's face, and she throws him into the wall. He immediately lost consciousness.

"When will this brat learn?" Minerva then drags his unconscious body and throws him in the same bath as Adolé’s body. Now they float atop the water as two leaves lost from their branches.

Minerva meditates for a short while before she hears a loud splash come from the medicinal bath.

"how long was I out?"

"Hello, young master. You have been unconscious now for approximately 3 hours now, while that bumbling fool you call a friend has been there for maybe two hours now." Minerva said.

"what did you do to him this time?" Adolé asked.

"I just taught the ignorant fool a lesson about manners is all. " Minerva replied nonchalantly.

Adolé remained quiet for a while as he inspected his body.

"How do you feel?" Minerva asked

"My body feels so light, and any old injuries I had are completely healed. I also feel as if my body has been strengthened. Minerva.....what is this water? Adolé asked as he picks up Therion and tosses him outside the bath.

"That was a medicinal bath with many potent herbs and spirit herbs. Just think of it as a super hot spring. It relaxes the body, smooths blood flow, helps you circulate the God Ki, and has body tempering effects. But, those herbs were very potent and I'm surprised you lasted as long as you did." Minerva complemented him.

Adolé goes quiet again and begins to walk over to Therion, but as soon as he was about to touch him Minerva flashes towards Adolé and throws a fierce punch.

"Lightning Lariat!" Minerva says as purple lightning circulated around her arm.

Adolé barely had enough time to react, but just as Minerva's attack was about to land on Adolé, a red lightning instinctively shielded him from the brunt of the attack.

Adolé flys back and flips to regain his balance and again before he could even react a yellow fireball was hurtling towards him. Adolé summons his spear and slices the ball of fire in half, but he was so focused on the big fireball, that he doesn't notice the shadow behind it, and just as the fireball disperses, Minerva appears with a small needle to his neck.

"I concede. " Adolé says with a disappointed look on his face.

"I did not do this to humiliate you, young master. I did not do this to hurt you. This was simply a test as well as a lesson. You may be able to best anyone on the same level as you, and that has become a fatal flaw of yours. Because of it, it swells your head, and in addition to being the young heir to Balmoral Mountain, no one will want to hurt you anyway, but the outside world is not a kind place. If you meet someone who is stronger than you or does not know you are the young heir to Balmoral Mountain, it will be the end of you. Understand this, there is nothing wrong with retreating. If your opponent sees you as a coward so be it, at least you can live, and fight another day. Your father has kept you sheltered for so long, and although he may be at the peak of this mundane world, it does not mean he is unbeatable. There is always someone stronger, a mountain beyond a mountain, and a sky beyond a sky. You would do well to remember that Adolé. " Minerva said as she tried to console and teach the young heir.

Adolé upset at his own weakness drops to his knees and asks a question of Minerva.

"Minerva, I have seen the error in my ways, and ask for you to teach me so that I may be of some service in the coming battles. " Adolé asked.

Minerva smiles and kneels to the same height as Adolé.

"Young Master Adolé, I would be honored to teach you, but I will say this; It will not be easy and will challenge you in every way imaginable. I must teach you in the limited amount of time we have. " Minerva explained

"I am ready to accept whatever you throw at me. " Adolé responded resolutely.

"Then let's begin. " Minerva replied as she looked and began to feel a little proud of the young heir.
