Tutorial Time!

“Yes dad! Now get up! We have more of the tutorial to do.” Cindy started to skip away with as little care in the world as he had ever seen here.

“I can’t move, I’m in something called Stamina Crash.” Dad was huffing and could barely get to his knees.

Cindy looked at her father with a shocked look on his face, “How the heck did you get into Stamina Crash. You only threw a single punch. Hold still, I'll do something.” Cindy got close to her dad and looked at him, “Identify!” She yelled. Everything about her dad flashed into her mind and she found out how he had spent all his stamina in a single attack. What a fool! If it didn’t work or he missed he would have been so screwed.

“You can’t just spend all your stamina on a single attack dad! What were you thinking?!” Cindy was furious that he had been so careless. Sure she could have pulled aggro from him and ran around until she defeated the Boroclops on her own but then her father wouldn’t have gotten the loot. He had to make some gear next in the tutorial she had spent so much time working on the past few days. Ever since… no, no, no. Cindy shook her head as she thought. No time to dwell.

“I was just trying to keep you safe, Badger.” Her dad’s voice was so low it rumbled like falling stones.

“Oh here I am Cinderfire the Badger Queen, I got to name myself you know. I think it’s a pretty cool name!” Cindy put her hands behind her back and puffed out her chest real big as she looked around. Waiting for the praise her father would rightfully shower her with.

“Didn’t the system tell me my name was just Dad…” Dad looked off at his status screen no doubt.

“Well I mean that is who you are. I’m never calling you by your name, here and forever more you are Dad. Hmph, you should be grateful I even made the character for you. If you did it you would probably be like some ooze or something because it was more interesting.” Cindy raised her head up so high it was comical so she could look down her nose at her father.

“Cindy, you are walking a fine line young lady. Now come on, we have to find a way home.” Dad tried to stand up again and slumped over.

“Recovery Beam Channel!” Shouted Cindy as she moved her hands about to select the healing runes she had available. It would restore some stamina for him. She shot the yellow gold beam at her father and even though he flinched it started to envelop his chest. She knew it would restore five stamina per ten she spent so she spent twenty so her dad would be able to move. “Praise me for my benevolence!”

She eeped as her dad scooped her up with one mighty arm as he stood up and she wiggled her feet and legs mightily as he cupped her in his palms. Dad brought her right to his face and started to inspect her, “Are you alright? Are you hurt at all?”

“Dad I’m fine, I said you should praise me though. Come on, where is the praise?”

“You were very kind. Just like we raised you to be.” Dad put Cinder on his shoulder and looked around. “Now, home, you know anything about that?”

“We can’t go home until we defeat the demon king or show her that it's better to be a good person.”

“What do you mean we can’t go?”

“I mean that the world needs up and it is our sacred duty to save it. Then Gaia will reveal herself and send us home. It is what I agreed to you know. We are going to be heroes!” She wobbled and almost fell before collapsing onto his ear with his hands. This elicited a hiss from Dad but she ignored it.

“Well, how does this whole thing work? Where is the demon king? Wait you said she, wouldn’t it be demon queen?”

“Nevermind that! To town! You have a tutorial to do!” She smiled as she yelled, “HYAH!”
