Tearing clothes for attention

Tearing clothes for attention

The girl smiled and nodded, going to call for the owner.

Zi Yang continued looking around, touching the various robes on sale, feeling the material. His lips twitched into a smile as he heard light footsteps walking down the stairs, he turned his head to see a young man walking down the stairs holding a fan in front of his face.

The young man spoke softly with a bow, “Patriarch Zi.” Zi Yang looked at the man and tilted his head, not sure if he was actually a woman or not. The young man closed his fan and smiled, “This one is Sun Liu.”

Zi Yang smiled and said “I see. Are you the owner, little Liu?” Sun Liu stayed smiling with constant closed eyes as he nodded “Yes, Patriarch. May I help you today?” Zi Yang smiled and ripped the robe in his hand before saying “My apologies.”

Sun Liu’s smile became wider and his eyelids squeezed shut as his grip on his fan tightened, making creaking sounds. Sun Liu squeezed out “It’s alright, Patriarch. I have an older grandfather, his body control is also not what it once was.”

Zi Yang smirked and pulled the robe off the shelf, ripping another robe as he said “I’ll buy this then.” ignoring the second destroyed robe. Sun Liu snapped his fan and his slitted eyes opened slightly.

His voice changed to a cold tone as he said “This isn’t very proper, Patriarch Zi. What is your business here.” Zi Yang smiled and mimicked Sun Liu’s expression, replying “Nothing. I simply came to buy clothes, unfortunately in my old age, I don’t have very good control.”

He nimbly picked the second robe from the display without even grazing the others, making Sun Liu clench his jaw in anger. He handed the robes to the terrified girl who served him before as he said “Oh, my apologies, Little Liu. I seem to have no money.”

He pulled out a piece of paper and folded it gently before handing it to Sun Liu and smiling “I will pay with this then. Good day to you, Little Liu.” as he wheeled away, leaving the robes with the girl.

Sun Liu watched Zi Yang leave the shop before saying coldly “Burn the pieces.” the girl nodded and ran away as Sun Liu grabbed the paper, ready to tear it to shreds. He managed to control himself and opened the paper to satisfy his curiosity.

If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

His eyes widened as he stared at the paper in his hands.

His hands started trembling and he ran out of the door to see that Zi Yang had mysteriously vanished!

He held the paper as if it was his wife and returned to his office in a rush to study the information. He would be a big hit if this was true!

Zi Tian was pushing Zi Yang again as he spoke “She looked at the gold coin and said nothing, but she looked distressed. Perhaps you pushed her too far?” Zi Yang shook his head and replied “No. It was a jab, but only enough to push her to checkmate. She will come on her own, perhaps we might even turn a profit on this one.”

Zi Tian replied “You mean?” Zi Yang grinned and nodded “The gold coin might even make its way back to the Zi Clan. Speaking of which…” he looked at Zi Tian and grinned “Seems like you were taking good care of yourself. I didn’t give you those gold coins.”

Zi Tian blushed and said “Those are my savings.” Zi Yang laughed and changed the subject “Is everything ready?” Zi Tian suddenly sighed, replying “Even with my ‘savings’ I can’t afford everything.” Zi Yang nodded and said “You can take from the Zi Clan’s pockets. Just take it from the treasury, I don’t care either way.”

Zi Tian nodded and smiled, Zi Yang smiled as they went back to the Zi Clan.

Zi Tian took money from the treasury and left the compound after ignoring Zi Yang, who said “Maybe there would even be a thief who robs Zhou Clan herb stores?” Zi Tian didn’t say anything and ran away from this shameless fellow.

Though he kept it at the back of his mind…

Ahem* Just in case.

Zi Yang leaned back in his chair and yawned before wheeling to the Scripture Pavillion. He nodded at the elder and smiled as he passed them going inside.

Zi Yang grinned at all the books.

Despite it’s less than thriving status, the Zi Clan was still a clan, naturally they had their own means.

Zi Yang started reading the books in the Scripture Pavillion, storing them in the library in his mind. He went through the entire first floor before going to the second, third, and finally fourth.

You might ask, why were there so many floors?

Old Yang had big ambitions, and prepared for the future. He even added some books from his travels. There were a lot of spear related books, but most of the books were informative.

Nevertheless, Zi Yang felt that it was very good, his mind library was thirsting for more knowledge.

When he was done, he wheeled out of the Pavillion and headed back to his study. He remembered everything so there was no need to ever go back, it was simply a waste of time.

He settled behind his desk and leaned back, yawning again.

Suddenly~
