“Ah, so sire and madams are Buddhists?” I asked as I saw Buddha’s statue on the table.
“Yes we follow the teachings of the enlightened one” The son of Xiao Long, Xiao Tian answered my question with a smile. Xiao Tian was bald and was wearing monastic robes, but his handsome look cannot be hidden with his clothing and hairstyle.
Besides him was his mother and sister, they were wearing traditional Chinese clothing, Xiao Ming was a beauty to behold, her jade white skin was alluring while her long silky hair matches her heavenly beauty.
I was immersed in her beauty as both of our eyes intertwined; I was embarrassed and could only start a new topic.
“What brought you sire in this country?” I asked while kept catching a glance at Xiao Ming.
“Oh, I run a business here with my family” Xiao Long answered.
“Ah, what type of business?” I asked acting as if I was curious.
“Oh, I sell Goods to the main tribes” Xiao long answered as his voice carried a hint of sadness.
Hearing this, I looked at his family and their faces turned gloomy as if some misfortune has happened to them, afraid to offend them, I kept quiet and did not spoke for a time.

The carriage stopped as the family’s pillar, Xiao long has offered us to a meal.
A table was set up and the luxurious foods were lined up, the group of guards ate their meal on a different table as their manners of eating was still un-elegant, compared to them the Xiao family’s manner in eating was well-mannered.
The Chicken tasted well, it was different than the ones sold in fast food restaurants, while the chicken was good the wine was marvelous, fine brewed, the thick smell, the sweet taste, the perfectly made wine was marvelous.
I tried to hide my desire, but nonetheless the temptation consumed me and I hurriedly ate the food that was given, while drinking the wine wholly.
Alas, I cannot forget their kindness and bowed to them with folded hands “Thank you for the food”
“You’re welcome, Young man” The old man Xiao long said with a bright smile on his face.

Night was up and we were forced to set up camp, due to travelling in the night was dangerous.
I couldn’t sleep at all as I was far too distressed thinking about how in what way could I get back in the present, but there was never an instruction on how to get back in time.
I stood up and wandered around the camp, but didn’t go too far as it would be dangerous if I would be lost and separated from the group.

But then I saw her, an alluring fairy with rosy lips, and with her perfectly curved nose, yet sadness can only be seen in her eyes as it grew wet, as if she tries to hide the feeling of sorrow.
She looked back at me with a fake smile on her face, but her teary eyes could still be seen, my heart ached as I thought what misfortune have bestowed upon her to put her into such a sorrowful state.
“Hello” She greeted me in a polite manner as she hurriedly swipe away the tears in her dreary eyes, “Mind if I know what led you to be lost in this country?” She then asked confusingly as to change my attention.
I looked at her and my eyes states as if I was curious to what happened, “Oh I entered a wrong ship that led me here” I answered her question with a foolish smile on my face.
She giggled as soon as she heard my answer, her smile was bright and warmed my heart, I was mesmerized as if I wished for this time to forever remain.
“Ah, I need to sleep soon for the mar….” Her words stopped as if she was hiding something, my hands unconsciously held her hands when she was about to leave.
Due to my foolish actions, all I could do was go with the flow, “Tell me the reason” Few words were spoken but the meaning were there.
Her eyes reddened as she fell on her knees, she cried in sorrow as she let all the pain hidden deep inside her heart out, “Why do the heavens binds us!? I, who has always dreamt to be married to a man I love was sent to be married to an unknown tribe leader…” I understood what state she was in, normal people would even prostate in the sight of her beauty; a mere tribe leader would want to dominate and would do any means to eat her in the night.
I held her cheeks and looked deeply at her eyes “I could not promise you a thing, but the kindness your family has performed I would never forget and will repay it.” Maybe due to me being touched, a strand of tear flowed out of my right eye.
“He who receives kindness should never forget it, He who performs it should never remember it.”
All I know is that I will be forever trapped in the past, I who is a mere test subject has never been informed by this.
Even she who was once I loved have forsaken me, and used me for the sake of what they call science.
What is the point in finding a truth about Science if it is all about finding a thing and naming it?
The truth has always been in us, and it will always be.
