Project Zero, A project developed by scientists during 2050, as to experience the past and show the world about what happened during the early periods of time, twenty young men were selected including me, but the project was still undergoing process and still haven’t successfully send a person back in time.

At first, I was reluctant to join the project but hurriedly accepted their offer when they told me that I might meet historical figures, and half of it was because of my fiancé’s brother the head of the project convincing me.

During the project, countless trials have been made, and over 17 of the men were injured or crippled during the experiments, leaving the only three of us be experimented on.

“Test 36 starts!” The head of the project shouted as subject number 18 hurriedly went to the portal they called time gate, as soon as num. 18’s feet enters the portal, a large sound rung around the lab and num. 18’s body exploded, leaving his insides scattered around the area.

The whole team of scientists was shocked, leaving the two of us stare in terror, my mind was telling me to run and resign as an experimental subject but my heart was tempting me to enter, it was as if the heaven’s willed me to.

Num. 19 wets his pants in fear as he hurriedly ran to the exit; the scientists did nothing as they knew how shocking it has affected num. 19, I didn’t left for I was tempted by the attraction of being in the past, and meeting historical figures.

“We will resume tomorrow, success is a must!” The leader said as he left the lab, while I was sent to the gym to make my body fit for the time travel.

Everyday I was taught how to use my fists and was excited to learn Martial arts, and I too was taught how to use different kinds of weapon including spears, sword, and a Dao. (Chinese curved blade) For a year has this been my life, but I was informed about the events that have unfolded around the outside world.

I too then was taught about the history of different countries, and the ancient names of their places and kingdoms that has fell during the ancient times.

After my training and lessons, I was given enough time to play computer games in my room and communicate with my family and friends, after that I slept for exactly 8 hours for my daily healthy routine.

The night passed by, and I was awaken from my slumber, my eyes opened and what appeared was an appearance of a beautiful blonde woman, the woman was one of the scientists partaking in the project, and she was the leader’s sister, the woman of my heart.

“Hurry, the project is starting” She said with a worried look as she hurriedly turned back and walked towards the lab, I hurriedly followed her while wielding a staff and a Dao in my waist, as we came near the door she looked back at me and a strand of tear poured down out of her eyes, “No matter what happens, I will still love you” I said as I felt my heart crumbling in sadness while looking straight into her eyes and tightly hugged her.

“I will wait for you” She said while her voice felt weak, I freed her from my hug and entered the lab, reluctant to part with her, reluctant to part with the present.

“Please Step in front of the portal” A woman scientist said as she cleared the path to me, I walked with teary eyes, “Start the gate!” The leader said as he hurriedly ordered the scientists, besides him was his sister whom was my fiancé.

“Enter the gate!” A large sound echoed throughout lab.

I looked at the woman I loved, “May my last look, shows my love for you” I stepped into the gate, and in an instance, my vision blackened and my mind turned black as I immersed in deep slumber.

“Test 37 is successful!” Their cheers rung around the lab, the scientists were mad in happiness while the woman was in deep sadness, the tears shows how far her love for him goes; she asked herself “When will I meet you?”

As I opened my eyes, light enveloped my vision, chirps of birds rung around the area, what surrounds me was the plain green grasses, I stood up and looked around, on a tree was my staff while my Dao was still hanging around my wrists.

I was wearing a Changshan, while wearing tight slippers I walked around the area, looking for someone to talk to, I walked for an hour without finding any human being, but then as soon as I reached a road, I saw a carriage guarded by ten tribal looking men, they were naked but only their crotch was clothed.

I walked towards the carriage, and the men grew vigilant as they unsheathes their swords, “Who you?” one of the men asked me, he spoke in Filipino but it was only a bit understandable considering that the languages and words in the past were still improving.

“I am a traveler and came to ask for directions” I answered his question while standing in a steady manner.

Then a manly voice came from the courage “Let him in” he spoke in Filipino but his accent was Chinese, the door then opened and I walked inside the courage.

There I saw four people, two women and two men, the two men consisted of young and old same as the women, their appearances shows that they are Chinese considering their eyes, skins and clothing.

“Hello, I am Xiao Long and this here is my family” The old man said with a smile as he deeply examined my appearance.

“I am Xiao Min” The young woman introduced herself with a loving smile on her face, she was on the same age as me, her eyes shows maturity and it shows no ill intent.

“Thank you for letting me enter, I am Sheng an” I bowed respectfully while my hands were clasped then I continued, “Mind if one tell me what region am I at?”

“You are in Kumintang, and in the empire of Luzong” Xiao Long answered my question then he asked “What brought you here in this country?”

I thought deeply finding for an answer then said “Me and my master went here to learn the local’s martial arts”

“Hmm… If you like, you could travel alongside us until we reach a village” Xiao Long said with a smile.

I bowed respectfully for the second time and was offered to sit in the carriage.
