My own Devil
The Start Of Hell.

The Start Of Hell.

Bella entered  to her first college classroom at Oakwood University, her heart racing with excitement. As she scanned the room her eyes saw a shy looking guy sitting in the back row, eyes stuck on the phone.

He had wavy dark hair that partially covered his face with a beautiful jaw line. Bella couldn't help but feel drawn to him, wondering what thoughts were behind those deep, contemplative eyes.

Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, Bella found an empty seat nearby and sat. The classroom buzzed with chatter as more students filed in.

During the lecture, Bella's gaze kept drifting back to the shy guy in the back. Finally, she mustered the courage to strike up a conversation as the class ended but she got interrupted by a girl who jumped next to hear seat.

Isa: "Hi there! I'm Isa. looks like we are in the same class want to be friends?"

Bella blinked, momentarily taken aback by Isa's enthusiastic approach.

Bella: "Um, yes ofcourse! I'm Bella. Nice to meet you, Isa."

as soon as Isa eyes beamed the mysterious boy has stood and left the class.

Isa: "Awesome! I love meeting new people. How's your first day going so far?"

Bella couldn't help but smile at Isa's friendlyb energy.

Bella: "It's been good, just trying to process everything."

Isa: "I totally get it! College can be overwhelming, but it's also so exciting. Have you met many people yet?"

Bella glanced back at the mysterious boy seat left to be empty, before turning her attention back to Isa.

Bella: "Not really, just trying to find my way around. What about you?"

Isa launched into stories about her own first-day experiences, chatting about her dorm mates, the campus events she was looking forward to,

Isa: "Oh, and have you tried the coffee at that little café near the library? It's surprisingly good!"

As the classroom emptied out, Bella realized she had missed her chance to talk to the shy guy. But as she listened to Isa's animated tales, she couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected friendship she made on her first day of college.

After the classroom emptied out, Bella walked alongside Isa as they went out to explore the college campus.

Isa: "So, Bella, have you had a chance to check out the cafeteria yet? They have some pretty decent food options there."

Bella: "Not yet, but I'd love to grab a bite. Lead the way!"

After exploring for a while, Bella and Isa made their way toward the dorm rooms area to check out their dorm rooms. They climbed the stairs and reached the hallway lined with numbered doors.

Isa stopped in front of Room 214, her eyes lighting up as she found out that her room is next to Bella room.

Isa: "Looks we are neighbors Bella! "

Bella: "It looks like it I haven't checked my room yet"

Just then, the door to my dorm room swung open, revealing a girl with vibrant purple hair and a warm smile.

Terry: "Hey there! I'm Terry. You must be the one I'm sharing the room with"

Bella nodded, impressed by Terry's unique style.

Bella: "Hi, Terry. I'm Bella. Nice to meet you."

Terry: "Well, welcome to the dorm! If you ever need anything, just let me know!"

Bella felt a surge of excitement as she realized she was starting to build connections in her new college life.

The next day, Bella found herself running through the crowded hallway, trying to make her way to her morning class. As she turned a corner, she bumped with someone, causing them both to fell.

Bella: "Oh, I'm so sorry!"

To her surprise, it was the mysterious boy from her first day of class. He had been looking down at his phone and hadn't seen her approaching.

Mysterious Boy: "No, it's my fault. I wasn't paying attention."

Bella quickly knelt down to help him pick up the bag dropped.

Bella: "Here, let me help."

Lacy accepted her help, his expression a mix of gratitude and something unreadable.

Bella: "Let me introduce my self properly. I'm Bella."

Lacy: "I know. We met in class. I'm Lacy."

Bella confused that he noticed her while staring at his phone the class and even knowing her name.

Bella: "Well, it's nice to officially meet you, Lacy."

Lacy nodded, offering a small smile in return.

As Bella handed him his bag, their hands briefly brushed, and she felt a jolt of electricity shoot through her.

Bella: "Are you headed to class too?"

Lacy nodded again, adjusting his bag on his shoulder.

Bella hesitated for a moment, wanting to continue the conversation.

Bella: "Maybe we can walk together?"

Lacy considered it for a moment before nodding in agreement.

Together, they made their way down the hallway toward their next class, engaging in light conversation along the way. Bella couldn't shake the feeling that there was something that worries her about Lacy comment earlier and his calm reserved personality.

As Bella and Lacy entered the classroom together, Bella noticed that Lacy headed straight for his usual seat in the back corner, his eyes fixed on his phone. She couldn't help but wonder what was occupying his attention.

Isa caught up to Bella with excitement in her tone.

Isa: "So, Bella, did you check out that coffee shop I told you about?"

Bella: "Yes, I did! Their coffee is really good. Thanks for the recommendation, Isa."

Isa grinned.

Isa: "Anytime! So, what do you think of our classes so far?"

Bella shared her thoughts about the professors and the courses, all the while stealing glances at Lacy across the room. Isa noticed Bella's distraction.

Isa: "Hey, are you okay? Why do you keep looking at the back?"

Bella hesitated, unsure of how much to share.

Bella: "I'm fine. It's just... I'm curious about that guy over there why does he not talk to anyone and always on his phone even during classes."

Isa followed Bella's gaze to Lacy.

Isa: "Oh, you mean Lacy? He's a bit mysterious, isn't he?"

Bella glanced at Isa, feeling confused.

Bella: "Wait, how do you know his name? Have you talked to him before?"

Isa's smile seemed slightly forced, and she shrugged casually.

Isa: "Oh, I've seen him around. You know, gossips and all that."

Bella wasn't entirely convinced by Isa's answer,

Their conversation was interrupted as the professor entered the room, signaling the start of class. Bella reluctantly tore her gaze away from Lacy and focused on the lecture.

Throughout the class, Bella found herself stealing glances at Lacy, who remained engrossed in his phone. There was something about him that intrigued her. A puzzle she was determined to solve.

As the class ended, Bella mustered up the courage to approach Lacy.

Bella: "Hey, Lacy. Mind if I join you for coffee after class?"

Lacy hesitated, his expression guarded yet polite.

Lacy: "I actually have something I need to take care of right after class. Maybe another time."

Bella felt a bit let down but gave a nod, showing she understood.

Bella: "Sure, no problem. Another time then."

Lacy's demeanor shifted slightly, and Bella couldn't help but notice a flicker of anger in his eyes when he glanced over and saw Isa approaching.

Isa: "Hey, Bella! Ready for lunch?"

Bella smiled at Isa but noticed Lacy's change in expression.

Lacy: "I'll see you around."

With that, Lacy gathered his belongings and quickly left the classroom. Bella exchanged a puzzled look with Isa.

Isa: "What's up with him?"

Bella shrugged, trying to brush it off.

Bella: "I'm not sure. Maybe he's just in a hurry."

Isa: "Well, let's not let that spoil our lunch plans. I'm starving!"

Bella: "Yeah, let's go."

Bella and Isa left the classroom, chatting about their plans for lunch. As they walked across campus, Bella couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Lacy's sudden departure than met the eye.

After leaving the classroom, Bella and Isa made their way to the university cafeteria.

Bella couldn't shake off her curiosity about Lacy, and as they found a table to sit at, she decided to bring it up to Isa.

Bella: "Hey, Isa, are you sure you don't know Lacy? You seemed to recognize him back there."

Isa paused, her cheerful personality for a moment.

Isa: "Well, actually... I do know him. We went to the same high school."

Bella's interest was piqued, and she leaned in, unable to resist pushing further.

Bella: "Really? What was he like in high school?"

Isa hesitated, her expression troubled.

Isa: "It's... complicated, Bella. Let's just say we didn't exactly get along."

Bella sensed Isa's discomfort and quickly changed the subject, though her mind continued to dwell on what might have happend between Isa and Lacy in the past.

Bella: "Got it. So, did you hear about the upcoming campus event next week?"

Isa brightened up at the new topic of conversation, grateful for Bella's shift in focus.

Isa: "Oh yeah, I heard it's going to be a blast! We should definitely go together."

After chatting for a while, Bella and Isa gathered their things and prepared to leave the cafeteria. As they stood up from their table, Bella glanced around the room and her eyes landed on Lacy, who was seated alone at a table in the corner.

Isa noticed Bella's gaze and followed it, only to see Lacy staring back at them with cold, intense eyes. A chill ran down Isa's spine, sensing the tension in Lacy's gaze.

Isa: "Hey, Bella, let's go."

Bella turned to Isa, noticing the unease in her friend's voice.

Bella: "Yeah, sure."

As they walked past Lacy's table, Bella couldn't help but feel a shiver of apprehension at the intensity of his stare. She glanced back once more, catching Lacy's eyes briefly before he looked away, his expression unreadable.
