My own Devil
So It Begins

So It Begins

After classes ended for the day, Bella found herself once again unable to approach Lacy, who seemed so interested in his phone as usual. Despite her curiosity, Bella hesitated to disrupt his focus, feeling a sense of apprehension about the cold encounter in the cafeteria.

Back at the dorms that evening, Bella and Terry decided to have a girls' night in their room. They chatted about everything from college life to their favorite movies, sharing laughter and forming a deeper bond.

Terry: "Did you see that?"

Bella: "See what?"

Terry furrowed her brow, her senses on high alert.

Terry: "Someone was peeking over the door, but now they're gone."

Bella's heart skipped a beat, a chill creeping up her spine.

Bella: "That's strange. Maybe it was just someone passing by?"

Terry: "Yeah, maybe..."

Despite their attempts to brush it off, Bella couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, her mind racing with unanswered questions.

The next day, Bella couldn't shake the feeling of being watched from the previous night's incident. She found herself glancing around nervously in between classes, trying to catch any sign of the mysterious thing that Terry had witnessed.

During a break, Bella decided to tell Isa about the unsettling experience.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

Bella: "Isa, something weird happened last night. Terry and I were having a girls' night, and she saw someone peeking over our door. When she opened it, there was no one there."

Isa: "That's... strange. Are you sure she saw someone?"

Bella: "Yes, she was certain. It's been bothering me all day."

Isa: "Maybe it's nothing, but with everything else going on..."

Bella's curiosity was taken back by Isa's cryptic remark, but before she could ask any further, the bell rang, signaling the start of their next class.

Later that evening, back in the dorm room, Bella and Terry were discussing the incident again, trying to make sense of what had happened.

Terry: "I swear, Bella, I saw someone there. It was like they were spying on us."

Bella: "I believe you, Terry. This whole thing is giving me the creeps."

Just then, there was a soft knock on their door, making both girls jump.

Bella cautiously opened the door, but no one was there. As she peaked into the hallway, a flicker of movement caught her eye at the end of the corridor.

Bella: "Did you see that?"

Terry: "I did. Something's not right, Bella."

As Bella and Terry exchanged worried glances, the sense of being watched intensified, leaving them both on edge.

As the days passed, Bella's unease grew as she and Terry continued to experience strange occurrences in their dorm. Each time they thought they glimpsed someone lurking, there was no one to be found when they investigated.

One evening, Bella noticed Isa acting strangely as she checked her phone repeatedly during a study session.

Bella: "Isa, what's going on? You seem distracted."

Isa: "Oh, it's nothing. Just some personal stuff."

Bella frowned, sensing that Isa was hiding something. She decided to change the subject.

Bella: "Have you seen Lacy around lately? I haven't seen him in class."

Isa: "Lacy? Oh, I heard he's been causing trouble. Rumor has it that he's been involved in some shady stuff."

Bella: "Really? That doesn't sound like him."

Isa shrugged nonchalantly.

Isa: "People change, Bella."

Later that week, Bella noticed tensions rising between Lacy and Isa during a chance encounter in the hallway. Isa's hostility toward Lacy was palpable, and Bella couldn't help but wonder what had transpired between them.
