As I work on my archery and hunting skills, it occurs to me that I never bothered to make a quiver. I took it for granted that I can just store my arrows in my soul storage. Summoning arrows is both a quick and easy process. I wonder if I can incorporate this into the arrow shooting process. With practice I am able to summon the arrows directly onto my bowstring. With further practice I am able to time the summoning to a fraction of a second before I grab, pull and release the bowstring while maintaining accuracy. The machine bow has been born! As long as I have strength in my arms I can now release an endless stream of arrows as quick as I can pull and release the string.
With strength training in mind I review my skills menu. I am sure I had a new skill that would become useful for this. The skill physical conditioning appear to directly help growth of my physical abilities, but it is only level 1. I got running level 1 as well but that one appear to be more about running techniques. If I can level up my physical conditioning skill I should be able to get super fit in no time. Time to apply what I know about sports science, though most originate from high school PE and workout videos.
I plan my workout sessions as thoroughly as I can. I was never really motivated to exercise before, but that isn't a problem at the moment. I start with light exercise and gradually increase the intensity. I seem to be recovering far too quickly after each session. I push the limits of what I can do, and expect to need a few days to recover, but just a few hours later I am a not acing from strained muscles and ligament, but rather feel the need to push my growing muscles. This is abnormal, after all I know how my body should work from exercising back in my old life. What is different?
I consult Mr. Analyze and the skills menu and come the following conclusion; the level 3 regeneration skill is making my body recover abnormally fast. I thought this was a less significant skill, as it just enhances my natural recover, but still require me to treat an injury. I did notice my multitude of cuts and bruises since coming here healing a lot faster, and the burn from my first day didn't leave any scar. Usually it takes a long time to re-grow skin. This might just be my most OP skill. I can intensify training as much as I want and not worry about overstraining my body. If I push too hard the regeneration skill should level up and counter the physical damage.

A couple of weeks have passed. My life consists of only three things; workouts, eating and hunting. The workouts are increasing my appetite which is making me hunt more. As I hunt more my skill has increased substantially, and I am now regularly eating medium sized plant eaters. They are fast, but with my new accurate shot skill, my arrows are becoming deadly. I am learning stealth and camouflage skills as well. I seem to have become more than a competent hunter.
However, my biggest progress is in my physical development. The main condition for leveling up the physical conditioning skill appears to be using many different forms of exercise. It is the first skill I have managed to push into level 8, and since it hit level 8 my second unique skill boosts it to level 10 max. Each increase in level caused my physical stats to increase. It is the first skill to directly affect my permanent base states. I got two other physical skills, enhanced strength and enhanced endurance, but these seem to only provide a percentage bonus increase. Great for high levels, but not great for an overall level 5 like me. My gaming mind is working overtime.
Admiring the chunkiness of my muscles I hear the ping notification of a new skill. I set this notification up early on to remind me to check the menu, but a lot of the time it can be really annoying. This time it is happening at an unexpected time. The name of my new skill is muscle toning. Not sure how I feel about that. I always found body building a bit vain. The muscles might look good, but most of the time they lack the stamina to do anything productive. Hope I am not turning into one.
My regeneration skill has also been increased to level 5, but as soon as it hit this level it has refused to move at all. I might need to get properly injury for this to go up any further. Not something I am planning while living on my own. A serious injury could be the end of a lone survivalist. Wonder how strong the skill is at level 10? Will I grow new limbs if I lose them? Again, not something I am planning to test. Mr. Analyze isn't shedding any light either. I shouldn't complain about my analyze skill, it is probably the reason I managed to survive this long. My alert skill as well. I never did personalize it. Maybe I should call it Miss Alert, since it is always nagging at me, but also preserves my life.
