Chapter Two: A Villain on Day 2. (Prologue #2)

So, it turns out that assisting your teacher in getting your entire class sans yourself expelled comes with some level of animosity. It took less than the morning classes to end up as public enemy number one on the second day of school. Lunchtime had me sitting alone at the corner table. It wasn't different back at my previous school because everyone was scared of the big bad spider girl. I wasn't bothered by it much, but it does get kind of lonely.

The unapproachable bubble would likely remain for some time. At least until after the first heroics lesson with class 1-B. Said teachers for today's hero class is actually Aizawa-sensei and Ectoplasm-sensei. It seems that there isn't a singular teacher for Hero Studies until next year when All Might is said to take up that mantle. For how little teaching he actually does that's actually pretty sad. A great hero he is, a great teacher he is not. Which reminds me I really need to smack Midoriya upside the head with some logic. At the same time, I have to keep an eye on the U.A. traitor. I want to sympathize with him but to be honest that twinkling basket case needs to be sniffed out and dealt with immediately. A certain lie detector detective should have been used to the fullest capacity in the original work. So much pain could be prevented by weeding out the traitor instead of pussyfooting around. Heck it would have been solved immediately by just questioning them in order by seat number starting and ending with number 1.

I find myself in my Hero outfit which is rather plain black top that matches my chitin. It is skintight per my specifications and made of my silk quirk treated to be extra flame and stab resistant. On my back is a crimson hourglass reminiscent of the black widow spider.

My appearance drew stares from the male members of 1-B. Most of them were focused on my chest. That sadly is something I can't hide with how my outfit is. I know they are big, okay? I should use what I can to draw attention away from the rest of my body. According to doctors I couldn't have a child with a man anyway.

I crossed my arms over them as best I could and kept my attention on Aizawa and Ectoplasm-sensei. Turns out that the battle exercise with the bomb wasn't something All Might came up with. It was the plan and as the odd one out and because Aizawa-sensei happens to be some sort of sadist he put me in the line of fire for all of 1-B. I was to be the lone villain against teams of two at a time. I know I practically asked for this, but I couldn't hold in my shock. This smug bastard is giving me a grin.

I force a smile on my face holding in my incredulity. "Plus Ultra, right?"

I know he hid his smile in his capture scarf. I won't be good enough to beat all ten pairs of them, especially since I have no clue what their quirks are. I just need to see them as percentages towards my score. I need to either run down the time in a 2v1 or capture them before they capture me or the bomb. If each member of their class represents 5% out of 100% then so long as succeed in catching or preventing seven of those teams from winning, then I will pass with an 70%. Strive for perfection but keep the goal realistic.

The first team I ambushed right when they entered the building. They had no chance to fight back. I dropped from the ceiling down onto them. They know I'm a spider why didn't they check for anywhere a spider could be? The next team was slightly smarter, they both focused on looking up a bit too much though. One turned a corner and walked face first into a nearly invisible web. I could tell they were stuck and unlikely to be capable of escaping. I shook my head when the thrashing around doubled due to their teammate getting stuck trying to pull their partner free. I moved from the other side of the web I set up and after capturing them both with the capture tape I cut them loose with a smile.

Each team got just a little bit better. Learning from watching the others fail. I had four teams left to go, and I was undefeated so far. This was when Aizawa-sensei opened his mouth.

"You now have a significant level of notoriety, there will only be one more run and the remaining eight will be after you due to how many heroes you have defeated/killed. Since not once has the time limit been reached you must win by running out the clock. Capture tape is now temporary for both sides. Heroes can now rescue their captured allies by cutting them free. If the villain can get out of the capture tape and escape they can do so. To make this somewhat fair as it is now 8v1 the building will be bigger and have more floors and you'll be given 15 minutes to set up instead of 10. The bomb will goes off in 20 minutes after the exercise begins instead of 10. Keep it up Kumo. I want to see your Plus Ultra."

I grumble a bit. God dammit Eraserhead. Making this so much harder than it needs to be. I was escorted by the hobo looking all the part a smug bastard to the new building. I brought the bomb from the previous building. Aizawa narrowed his eyes at the fact I was bringing it with but didn't say anything. There wasn't a thing saying I couldn't make it harder on the heroes to win by making sure there is multiple bombs. I can use this one to make them think it's the actual bomb when the real one will be hidden.

"Sensei?" Aizawa glanced at me giving a hum that he was listening. "Why did the rules change?"

"The world isn't fair. As you rack up arrests and take down criminals there will eventually be people that figure you out or even try to purposely hunt you down. The fact you are doing so well made me want to see what your limits are. How many can you handle with traps and tactics before you actually have to physically try? You are taking this seriously and I commend you for taking the logical approach so far using minimal stamina to handle the other students. I however can't get an accurate gadge on how to push you without putting you through a stress test to make you really work for it. Several consecutive 2v1's wasn't enough. You being able to do this is teaching the other class no Villain is to be taken lightly and mistakes can lead to their deaths and the deaths of innocents."

I drew in what Aizawa said and nodded. It's a good idea to find out what someone is capable of. Basically is he wants to live fire gadge my potential with as little restraint as possible. If that means putting me against odds that are difficult and have a larger chance of failure to sharpen me against the other hero students to do the same for them.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

I nod to Aizawa and skitter into the larger building replacing the old bomb from the previous exercise location with the new one that looks nearly the same only is a different color. I cover the dummy bomb in my webs and put it in the corner. Taking this locations bomb I head towards the entrance. I'm going to gamble a bit. Head to a side room near the entrance and attrach the bomb to the ceiling in what looks like a bathroom. Webbing up the windows on the first floor along with all the doors to make it a hassle to get in each one. It took about six minutes to do all that. I started to layer specific serfaces with my webs on both the second and ground floors. I next went to the breaker box on the second floor and smirked. Flipping each and every switch I get a devious idea. This place will become a nightmare. Finding the Bomb or fighting on par with me in the dark won't be easy. Especially not with the webbing on the windows of the entire first floor. I can let the ones that go for the stairs past me because the real bomb there isnt the upper floors and it will take them time to cut through my webs to turn the lights back on. If it's impossible to see then they won't see the traps I laid out for them. It's a shame I am nearly out of webbing for today. I got enough left to bind up maybe one person. I'll have to use what I placed already efficiently.

"Start!"

I wait for a moment and when the door slams open I let out the most manic and insane laughter I can bring up from myself. I'm going to show them what a true monster is.

=============

Haruto Gozuboro POV:

Watching the solo remaining student of Class 1-A make a fool out of half my classmates including myself really started grinding my gears. It's clear that 2v1 wasn't enough after the second time they won. I fell for the invisible web and I have enough sense to know that sending ourselves in two by two into that freak spider's lair is a act in futility.

"Ectoplasm-sensei may I make a suggestion?" I got his attention by the nod he gave. "After a villain gets away or succeeds multiple times like this don't they end up with a official threat level from the HPSC. According to a threat level more heroes are sent to a location in response to a known threat. If we are heroes attempting to catch a dangerous Villain then we should act accordingly and send more than just one team. If two by two doesn't work then we should send several more than that. If Takagi and Bokino don't manage to win this round then that would total to 12 heroes defeated or dead by the hands of a single villain and their terror attacks."

"It's not that I don't agree with tha-"

"I agree." Aizawa cut off Ectoplasm. "Something like that is logical. What do you believe would work? You have anyone in the room that hasn't participated yet."

"I think sending in the final eight and slightly adjust the location. Say we tracked them to their actual lair. The eight our class that haven't gone will have a better chance than just teams of two at a time that haven't got the results we are looking for."

Aizawa and Ectoplasm shared looks before Aizawa pressed a button and relayed the change in rules to Kumo-san. The rules were sensible and holds a new level of difficulty. At least this way they won't be eliminated by capture tape and have the opportunity to get free.

I got to watch the Prep of the Villain side and Kami above she's a demon. The smirk she's wearing as she quickly sets her traps, places a fake win where they can find it like a sticky trap. Hides the real bomb where she can reliably defend it and turns the place into a sticky mess of webs and turns out the lights. Kumo Akemi was taking it easy on us, she had to have been. No way anyone other than a fire quirk user would be able to get through all that and even then it's possible the building will start burning meaning the bomb would explode even faster.

Aizawa returned and pressed a button on the console so we can hear what the hero team can hear. With a few more buttons pressed it was kicked off with a start from Aizawa. We in the monitor room saw the hero team kick in the door only for a laugh bordering insanity to come from the spider woman. It sent a chill down my spine looking at the screen showing what little of Kumo could be seen due to the light spilling into the room. All that could be seen was her face and the look made me sweat. That look is not the look of a prospective hero that is the look of a lunatic. A psychopathic sociopath is what that is. A look that promised a bloody end until she slid into the darkness.

"Welcome to my parlor said the spider to the fly.... I wonder how many will die this time?" Another laugh came through the speakers this one of twisted glee as a rock was thrown from the shadows at my classmates who finally snapped out of it four of them ran for the stairs, while the others pulled out gear like small flashlights to attempt to find Kumo in the dark to capture her.

They never should have split up. She captured the four down stairs in under five minutes. She managed to use the webs she had on the doors to stick them on each in the hallway. Going so far as to use their flash lights to show them her psycho smile and taking their communicators so they can't communicate anymore. Putting on in her ear she headed upstairs going to the room with the breaker box.

Kumo had a sadistic smile on her face as she waited on the ceiling winking at the camera when the lights turned on looking down at the only girl in the team Mirayuki Suno had gone alone to tune on the lights. Leaving the room Mirayuki nearly scream in fear when she was grabbed and pulled off the floor. A web covered hand was slapped over her mouth before a peep was uttered. Stuck to the ceiling in a prepared spot to keep her in place even if she's squirming to try and free herself.

"Shhhhhh shhhhhh... It's okay my dear... I have so many plans for you. It would be a waste to kill you like the others... So if you want to live be a good girl and stay quiet up here for five minutes. I'll be back soon. The more you behave the less I will hurt you." The fear on Mirayuki's face in the cameras was all I could look at until the lights flicked back off.

Each of them were then subsequently picked off one by one like scenes in a horror movie. The first of the remaining three was kicked out by a strike to the back of the head. The second was caught by the fake bomb and was pushed into hugging it by Kumo. The last one he ended up tripping over the first one who was left in the floor and his cry of surprise alerted Kumo to his presence. She found him quickly and his meager height of four feet six inches was lifted off the ground by Kumo and was thrown into wall.

"Oh hero-chan, I'm baaaackk.~ Look at you staying put like I told you such a good girl deserves a reward! Your reward is you don't blow up! Isn't that great?!" Kumo took her down off the ceiling carefully. The lights flicked on and we in the monitoring room got a better look at Mirayuki. She was bound up in webbing like a a fly caught in a web only her head was free of the webbing her mouth however was still covered.

On the way out of the building Kumo started dancing with Mirayuki in her arms the twisted gleeful smile still plastered on her face. She walked out of the front door and bowed her face just a inch or so from Mirayuki's. A minute later while Kumo was observing her chitin like fingertips the timer went off.

"Villain wins." It was Aizawa's bored voice that drew me from the screens showing my knocked out or restrained classmates. I pray to all that is holy Kumo Akemi stays on our side because dear God is she terrifying when she wants to be.
