After getting a bit of lunch with Kirishima and Tetsutetsu, we went back to our classes. The class was full of students just back from the internships so everyone was running their mouths, eager to share their experiences.
Once we got there, Sero started telling us about his week and how fun it was to be able to swing around the city with his tape.
Suddenly the door opened revealing a blonde haired boy with a neat side part, and a downright murderous glare. It took me a second to realise who it was, but the heavy scowl was a dead give away. Looks like Best Jeanist did a number on Bakugo, his hair especially.
Stifling a chuckle I said to the two boys,"Get a load of this." while jabbing a thumb at Bakugo's new trim with a slight smirk.
With the two of them staring at explosion boy, Bakugo snapped, "The hell you looking at?!" glowering at the two boys.
Immediately the pair burst into a hysterical fit of laughter, not caring about the dangerous look Bakugo was giving them, managed to say between laughs "Holy crap! What the heck Bakugo!"
While they continued to cackle like maniacs, Bakugo responded "Stop laughing! My hair's gotten used to this and I can't get it back the right way." But no matter what he shouted, the pair continued to laugh, "Did you not hear me? I'll kill you both!" as he shivered in rage.
As tears of laughter streamed down his face, Sero sent Bakugo over the edge with a mocking remark "I'd like to see you try pretty boy."
With fury pulsing throughout his entire being, Bakugo managed to use sheer anger to overpower the hair treatment applied by Best Jeanist throughout the week. His hair exploded outwards, back to his usual spikey style as he shouted "What did you call me!"
Sadly for boom boy, his threatening manner of speech did nothing to stop the two, as they were now cracking up more than ever. Before he could deal with them, everyone's attention was directed at the three involved with the Hero Killer due to one of Kaminari's comments.
The three of them were showered by worried comment, while others began to talk about Endeavours accomplishments, which in turn lead the conversation in the direction of the Ideology that's been posted all over the internet.
That was when Kaminari made a questionable comment about his opinion "Stain's a pretty evil villain but like super tenacious, he's almost kinda cool don't you think?"
Midoriya chastised him for calling the man who crippled Ida's brother cool, causing him quick apologise to Ida for being insensitive.
This sparked a lecture from Ida about Stain, he pointed out that no matter what reasons Stain had for doing what he done, ultimately it was just cold-blooded murder. His statement caused many in the class to become downtrodden at his behest, but brightening up for the first time in a while Ida declared his intentions to become the perfect hero.
Although it caused many in the class to feel happy for the bespectacled class rep, they quickly got a reminder of how serious he could be with his duties. After so long of having him keep to himself, they released tired sighs as he paraded around the class room trying to get everyone in their seats for the teachers arrival.
Soon after All Might comes running through the door in his usual heroic fashion and tell us to get suited and head over to Ground Gamma. So after a brief period time we were all stationed at the edge of the training area awaiting further instructions.
Standing in front of us was the symbol of peace, looking eager to see what improvements we've made over the course of our internships.
"Hope your ready to return to our lessons, today it's hero basic training. Feels like I haven't seen you in a while, welcome back. Now then listen carefully for what's in store, we're going to be conducting a little race, take everything you've learned at your internships and apply it to this rescue training" He said.
All Might went on to explain the exercise for today. Basically we're racing in groups of five, each one of us are split up and placed into different areas around the ground. Once the race starts All Might will give off a signal and everyone in the group has to compete to reach the target first.
Apart from a select few of us, traversing the terrain of Ground Gamma's going to be troublesome. The areas covered in factories, and with all the winding pipes connecting them together, the environment turns into an intricate labyrinth for all those racing, unless you can fly of course.
The first race was between Sero, Ida, Ojiro, Ashido and Midoriya. All of whom bar Midoriya can use their quirks to aid their movement. As we waited for the race to start, everyone started guessing who would win.
Elbowing me, Kirishima asks "Who's your pick? I'm betting on Sero."
Looking at the options, my unusual fixation for gambling shone through, "I'm with you on this one, this kind of place is basically built for him"
"What about you Kaminari?" he questioned the yellow haired boy.
"Hmm, I got odds on Ojiro." he replied.
Bakugo then butted in saying "I know Deku will be last."
The other boys in class began picking their contender, once everyone was finished I said, "We doing this with money or?..."
The gained me some confused looks before Kirishima responded "Oh so we're seriously betting then" looking at the other guys he continues "Come on guys it'll be fun. It's not like we'll be using much"
With everyone in agreement we now eagerly awaited the start of the race. Silently praying for Sero's win, the race began.
Sero shot tape from his elbows, latching it onto the highly placed pipes which were used as holds for him to swing through the air. Showing excellent control of his body he cruised towards All Might's location at a quick pace than the rest of his group, apart from one unlikely speedster.
Deku using some sort of new technique to channel his power throughout his entire body, it caused the red veins to appear across his entire body while the discharge looked like some sort of green electricity.
He used this new form to quickly catch up with Sero, and caused my heart to race. I don't even know why I'm surprised anymore, every time I bet on something it ends up loosing for one reason or another. Still I try my luck, hoping that one day I'll lose my bad luck.
As I was concerned about my loosing bet, Bakugo on the other hand was fuming at the fact Deku was copying his moves. After Uraraka vocally pointed it out, I took a closer look the Midoriya's movements, it's not a complete copy since they have different quirks, but there's a striking resemblance between the two's mid air posture.
With his new technique Deku managed to pull ahead of the others, but just when everyone thought he had it in the bag. A misstep occurred causing the boy to plunge into the metallic jungle below.
With Deku's costly mistake Sero resumed first place and holding the position till the end. Nearly jumping in excitement at my successful bet, I looked to the others with eager eyes with Kirishima as we both looked forward to our monetary gains we were soon to receive.
Next up was my group I was up against Tokoyami, Shoji, Uraraka and Sato. Without much suspense I done my usual routine of cutting a ride and flying into the air. With no one in my group remotely close to challenging me our round ended with me as the victor and Shoji come in at second.
After the next two rounds, the entire class participated in the physical conditioning we'd normally do during the hero basic training before heading back to UA to finish the day off.
----------------------------------------
It's the final week in June, one week till UA's finals exam. As soon as the final bell of the day went, Aizawa disappeared from the classroom holding his trusty sleeping bag, probably off to snooze in one of the schools spare rooms.
As the man in charge of the class left to pursue his favourite pastime, those of us left in the class were free to talk about the intel we gained in the finals. At lunch, Kendo from class 1-B told Midoriya and whoever was sitting at his table that the practical portion of the exam will be fighting against robots, similar in style to the entrance exam. The reason she knows this is because she had the common sense to ask one of her friends in the upper years about their own exams in first year, and apparently it's been the same first year practical exam for the last few years.
Happy at the news, Kaminari and Mina pumped their fists in elation. Being on the lower in of the intelligence spectrum, it was good news for them that the practical wouldn't be as difficult as the written.
Making a dumb face full of self-confidence that loosely resembled his short circuited state, Kaminari proclaimed to Mina "This'll be super easy if it's just robots!"
"Such awesome news!" The pink girl replied with he hands behind her head, equally as cheery as her companion.
Before the two could finish envisioning their passing, Shoji who was standing nearby made a fair commented about their behaviour and quirks. Using one of his tentacle-like arms, a mouth formed which then wondered "Why do you sound so happy? You both have a hard time controlling your quirks"
Not denying his classmates statement Kaminari responded "Yea, but I can let loose with robots!"
"And melting them will be a synch for me!" Mina added just after, somehow not managing to take onboard their classmates concern they continued to borderline dance in zest, Shoji just shook his head at the two and let them continue their antics.
While Shoji couldn't them to listen, Bakugo could. As their conversation wasn't exactly private, the spikey hair boy gave them something as close to honest advice I think you'd get from Bakugo.
"I shouldn't matter if it's robots or actual people, Why're you morons so excited" but before he could say anything else Kaminari cut him off.
Pointing his finger at Bakugo he snappily retorted "Hey! Who're you calling a moron-" this completely destroyed whatever semblance of patience Bakugo was exhibiting.
"Shut up!" he shouted making the the two instantly loose their courage and redirecting Kaminari's pointed finger away from himself. With his normal wraith filled face back he chastised them "You need to learn how to control your quirks! You got it!" Suprisingly earning small nods from the both of them.
With his short rant over, his attention was shifted to Midoriya. Calling the boy out on copying his moves the other day, before turning to me and saying "We'll be getting individual scores in the upcoming finals, new rankings. So we'll all know exactly where we're standing. I'll show you how much better I've gotten" before storming out of the class room.
"Who pissed is his kettle?" I voiced next to Kirishima, gaining a small chuckled from the manly man.
Putting on a more serious face Kirishima replies "It's been a while since I've seen him that worked up, and I thought he mellowed out since the sports festival."
After Bakugo's departure, the rest of the class began to leave as well. As my classmates walked towards the exit, I slipped away in a different direction. Since we were walking in a group and no one was directly speaking to me, my disappearance went unnoticed. Climbing a few flights of stairs I arrived at the a floor filled with the schools spare room, one of which is probably hosting Mr. Aizawa napping session, but that's not the reason I'm here.
Passing several doors, I arrive at the room I've been attending for the last few weeks or so. The door slid open to reveal a buxom raven haired woman clearing a desk of it's clutter.
Unlike the usual outfit she parades around in, currently she was wearing a plain white shirt with several of the top buttons undone as they refused to accommodate her large assets, paired with a short black pencil skirt that hugged shapely hind. It gave her the look of a professional, yet dangerously sexy teacher.
"Here bang on time as always I see." Midnight stated as she pushed her glasses back up her nose.
Sitting down at a desk in the front row and pulling out my maths stuff, I reply "No point in wasting any time getting here, especially when I know I need the help."
Now finished clearing the desk, she turns to me and asks "So, how's the questions coming along, Did you manage to do the exercise on page 76?"
Flipping through my jotter with a fair bit of apprehension due to my past failures in the mathematics department, I stopped on the page with my attempts at the exercise and slid it over to Midnight for a review. Although I'm good at many things, maths is certainly not one of them, something about letters and numbers mixing together just doesn't sit right with my brain.
During middle school I barely managed to scrape by at the subject, and that was with a damn lot of hard work. The teacher I had was a total asshat, you know one of those old fuckers that are stuck in the past and can't seem to stop talking about how much easier school is nowadays, instead of actually helping. So it's miracle in itself I've made it this far.
"Well done Benimaru, you've managed to get most of these correct" Midnight hummed while passing me back the jotter, giving me an approving smile in the process.
Breathing a sigh of relief that I never even noticed I was holding in, I relaxed in my seat. At least the extra lessons are starting to pay off, at this rate I should be able to get a decent mark in maths.
Compared to what most people would believe Nemuri Kayama - the real name of the hero 'Midnight' - while not comparable to true geniuses, was remarkably intelligent. and explained things in an understandable manner. Good enough that she managed to get someone like me up to scratch within a few weeks.
"Hmm? I don't see why you're relaxing. I said you got most of them correct. Not all of them." She criticised with her previously eulogistic smile morphing into a sadistic grin. If she had her whip right now, I could bet that it'd be sending unimpressed cracks throughout the room
Did I forget to mention that she's unpredictably serious and has quite the temper, especially when you don't take on board her advice.
Straightening back up I pay close attention to what she was saying as well as keeping an eye on the board.
Taking a pen from her desk, she began drawing a large grid while explaining "Quadratic functions are surprisingly easy if..."
And so my endeavour towards passing the maths portion of the exam continued.
----------------------------------------
Stretching as I exit the classroom, me and my compatriots have finally finished the written part of the finals.
Three whole days of exams one after another, isn't something I'm looking forward to doing again anytime soon. Seriously, my brain's pretty much fried at this point, if I see another equation I might end up like Kaminari after overusing his quirk.
Alas, we still aren't finished yet, straight after we finished, Aizawa told us to suit up and meet him at the Practical Exam Arena - 'Central Plaza'. With the teachers orders, everyone quickly got changed and made their way over.
After jumping on one of the UA provided buses, we arrived at a far off building which would be holding the practical exams. Surprising everyone, as the bus stopped at the entrance, we saw most of the teachers at UA waiting with Aizawa.
The eight teachers consisted of: Ectoplasm, Snipes, Power Loader, Cementoss, Present Mic, Thirteen, Midnight, and of course Eraser Head. An impressive line up, now the only question is why are they all here.
This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
"Now then, let's being the last test. Remember, it's possible to fail this final. If you want to go to camp, then don't make any stupid mistakes" Aizawa said as something rustled around in his scarf.
Confused as to why the other teachers were here, she questioned "Uh, why are all the teachers here?"
"I expect many of you have gathered information and believe you have some idea of what you'll be facing against today" but before Aizawa could finish, dumb and dumber piped in with their usual theatrics.
"We're fighting those big'ol metal robots!" Kaminari shouted to no one in particular. Ashido on the other hand was already thinking about the summer camp, "Fireworks, S'mores, here we come camp!"
Interrupting the two and small mouse like creature wiggled it's self free from the bindings of Aizawa's capture device, "Actually this years test, will be completely different for various reasons"
Surprised at the appearance of the small, suit wearing animal, every one of the students gathered said aloud "Principal Nezu!?"
Yep, this tiny furry scarred creature what the man in charge of UA. What makes him so special, apart from his quirk that makes his brain act like a super computer, is that Principal Nezu is a rare case of when an animal manifests a quirk. Because of this, during the early stage of his life he was experimented on by humans, which is where he gained the scar that overlaps with his right eye.
"The tests now have a new focus, there will be hero work of course but also teamwork and combat between actual people. So what does that mean for you? You students will be working together in pairs, and your opponents will be one of our esteemed UA teachers. Isn't that fabulous?" he explained excitedly while using Aizawa's scarf to abseil down to the ground.
This proclamation caused the students to tense up, suddenly the practical went from easy, to hard, and none of them were prepared for the sudden up in difficulty.
Continuing on from the principle, Aizawa explained "Additionally you partners and opponents have already be chosen. They were determined at my discretion based of various factors including fighting style, grades and interpersonal relationships" explained giving everyone an idea of what the teams were based on.
"First Shinmon and Todoroki are a team. Against me" he told us with a scary looking smile plastered to his face.
Then with a shocking pairing, at least from the opinion of most of the class. He informs us that Bakugo and Midoriya are paired together, just before their opponent leaps down from the sky in his usual fashion.
Well, that's them fucked.
If All Might doesn't hold back a lot, I can't see any way they could beat him. The man's just too powerful, and hardly has any weaknesses. Giving a silent prayer from my two classmates, I listen in to the rest of the pairings.
After finding me and Todoroki would be fourth in line, the Principle told us the objectives for winning, "To complete the exam you'll have 30 minute. In order to win your objective is to put these handcuffs on your teacher, or you can win if one of you manage to escape from the combat stage."
Right that makes more sense, I was wondering why they'd even let All Might participate if it was going to be a brawl. At least Midoriya and Bakugo have a slim chance at passing now.
Good thing I never ended up against Midnight either, handcuffing that woman's a red flag, who knows what kind of sexual innuendo's she'd start hitting out with.
Adding onto the student's handicaps All Might pulled pout some wrist weights which he promptly introduced "In order to even the playing field, the support course made these super clever accessories for us"
Cutting in before All Might to say the name, Present Mic shouted loud as ever "Behold! Ultra compressed weights!" while holding up them up for everyone to see."
"These babies will add about half our body weight to our physiques, it's not much but they will eat up our stamina and make it harder for us to move around." Finishing tightening the weight to his body and feeling the extra weight he says with surprise "Oh Shoot! These are heavier than I thought"
"We had a contest to come up with these designs, and young Mei Hatsume ended up winning in" All Might informed us of the designer for these pairs of equipment.
Thinking about Hatsume, I wonder if she's finished that piece of equipment I asked for it's been a while and I've not heard anything from her. I'll stop by soon, and find out what's up, maybe asked her if she can make me some of those weights as well, they'd be good for training.
"Let's begin, Satou, Kirishima, your up. Those waiting their turn to fight can either watch the exams or try to strategize together as a team. It's your choice, that's all" He said while walking away to catch up with the other teachers, leaving the students alone to make their decision.
Popping up next to me, Todoroki says "Shinmon, have you got a plan in mind for our battle against Aizawa?"
Shifting my eyes in his direction I respond "Not really, but we've go enough time to figure one out"
Nodding his head, we both head into the facility to whip up a plan to kick our teacher's ass.
----------------------------------------
After coming up with a plan me and my partner went to watch the other matches taking place. First up was Kirishima and Satou, sadly for the two boy's they failed to find a way through Cementoss's quirk. With the teacher creating so may walls, it wasn't long before the close combat fighters ran out of juice, or in Satou's case, Sugar. Once they never had the strength to punch through the cement, it was a simple matter for Cementoss to trap them and end the match.
Second round was a pretty good display of teamwork from Tokoyami and Tsuyu, even after them got trapped in one of ectoplasm's super moves they manged to use their quirks in conjunction and trap him in the handcuffs. Although of those of us who were watching, it was pretty disgusting seeing Tsuyu literally throw up her stomach, I'm pretty sure Midoriya's been scarred for life. Another thing I noticed was the amount of skill Ectoplasm has in hand to hand combat, even though his quirk doesn't do anything to physically enhance him, his technique was still good enough to hold back dark shadow, who's got some serious speed and power.
The last match before ours was Power Loader vs Ida and Ojiro. Though it seemed like a bad match up for the two, they managed to escape not long after it started. Using a combination of both quirks they managed to avoid all the traps Power Loader planted and make it through the exit with little trouble.
Now it our turn, standing near the centre of the fake city, me and Todoroki were waiting on the match to start.
"Do you think he'll come for us or guard the gate?" Todoroki questioned.
"Not sure, either way we'll be heading towards the gate. So it's not like it really matters" I replied while scratching the back of my head.
Since it had something to do with the plan we we're attempting I asked something that's been on my mind for a while "Your fire resistant right?"
"To a limited degree I am, as long as the fire isn't exceptionally powerful I should be able to cope" he responded while creating a small plume of flames in his hands to demonstrate his resistance.
With that as confirmation I wondered "How'd you manage to get a burn like that then?" as my eyes scanned the nasty burn scar covering the entirety of his left eye.
Being reminded of his scar a solemn look appeared on his face as he gently rubbed the scarred skin with his finger tips, after a moment Todoroki replies "Now's not really an appropriate time for me to give you the entire story, but, my scar is actually a frost burn"
Although I was still confused as to how he managed to get a frost burn since he should have ice resistance as well, I decided to leave it until Todoroki gave me the full story.
Suddenly the alarm that signified the start of the match blared through the city, prompting me and Todoroki to spur into action.
"Think you can reach the gate with one of those ice spears-things?" I asked, wondering if we should move closer to make it easier for him.
Kneeling down on one leg, the surrounding temperature stated to drop as he stated "It should be fine, If this one doesn't reach I can just make another". When he finished talking an large horizontal pillar of ice shoot out in front of Todoroki and advanced down the street in the direction of the escape gate.
With relatively little stopping it, it wasn't long before the ends of the ice wrapped it's self around the gate, effectively blocking anyone from escaping, or if Aizawa was going to wait at the gate, forcing him to abandon his position.
Standing upright, Todoroki's body, clothes and hair were covered in patches of ice, but having slightly come to terms with whatever was stopping him from using his fire, a quick pulse of heat thawed ice, restoring him to his previous state.
With Todoroki done his part, I placed my hand on the large formation of ice. Applying some heat, swiftly a tunnel was formed from ahead of us allowing us both to step inside. Once we were within the structure, my partner block up the opening with another thick casing of ice.
The plan was to use this tunnel to travel all the way over to the exit, with the thickness of the ice surrounding us, plus the mistiness from due to it's formation not being perfect, it should prevent Eraser from using his quirk on us. Even if he somehow managed to break inside we had back up plans, basically split up and try to use our quirks to flash bang his eyes whenever we had the opportunity. But if push came to shove I wouldn't mind a shot at brawling with Aizawa since he's pretty impressive when I comes to martial arts.
Since I could only thaw small parts of the ice at a time to prevent the structures collapse, it was going to take a while till we reached the end.
With not much else to do I called out to Todoroki as he was blocking up the path behind us "So, you want to go ahead and tell me the story behind that scar or do you want to do the rest of this in silence?"
Seemingly thinking for a moment, he gave a slight nod and replied "I suppose I might as well, now that I think about it there's never really an appropriate place to talk about this stuff..."
For the rest of the journey Todoroki gave me a bit of insight into the mess that was the Todoroki household. Although I never took Endeavour for a good parent this was just some next level stuff, what's worse is that it was probably just the tip of the iceberg regarding everything that's happened. Since I could tell Todoroki was skirting over some parts but overall I got the gist of the situation.
The scar was from his mother using her quirk to try and prevent a burn from happening, but due to her state of mind she never realised that would just make it worse.
"Man that's messed up" I commented as I melted the the final portion of ice, triggering the end of match bell as we exited the casing of ice having passed the exam with no trouble at all.
As we walked over to Aizawa who was standing around with a noticeable miffed expression, I couldn't help but feel a degree of companionship between me and Todoroki due to his family circumstances. Who knows, maybe one day I'll tell him out my own childhood, but for now it put those thoughts to the back of my mind as Aizawa congratulated us for our completion.
----------------------------------------
As the sun reached high into the sky, it's warm rays of energy shined down onto the back garden of my house. Reclined in my deck chair, I was enjoying the summer heat, at least until my phone started buzzing from a bunch of texts.
Resisting the urge to just switch the damn thing off, I stretch my arm across the nearby table to pick it up and flicking onto the class 1-A group chat.
'Broccoli: Do you guys want to come to the school pool today? Me and Kaminari booked it for some endurance training.'
'Legs: Good work Midoriya, I'm proud of you for suggesting more training, you're an asset to our class. Let up all attend this exercise, we should get in all the training we can in preparation for the summer camp.'
'TailMan: Alright, I'll make sure to be there.'
'Mask: See you guys there.'
'Edge: I shall be attending.'
'Bondage: Sure thing dude.'
'BlockDome: ...'
'ManlyMan: Sounds like a plan man, I'll try get Bakugo to come as well.'
'SharpButDull: Ok.'
'MuscleBoundIdiot: Meet you at the pool!'
'SparklyFucker: *Sparkle Emoji*'
Shaking my head at some of my classmates personalities, I swipe onto a private chat with Kirishima.
'ManlyMan: Hey man wanna meet up and give me a hand with Bakugo, I could use the help'
Finished reading the message, I was about to reply back when a creepy middle aged man looking over my shoulder said "Why don't you go, it's summer and you've hardly done anything apart from lounge around here"
Not agreeing with his claim I retort "I've been out with Ryuko and Nejire a few times-" before getting slapped across the jaw with some logic.
Deadpanning Konro points out "More like they came over, sitting out your back yard with other people doesn't count as going out."
After hunting down Hatsume, I found out she forgot to make my equipment, to top it off she never had any of those super compressed weights. So after getting Power Loaders assurance that he'll make sure Hatsume gets the work done, I phoned up Ryuko and asked if she had anything similar to the weights.
A few days later she turned up at my house with a excitable Nejire in tow, once she gave me a similar type of compression weights, we just lazed around at my place for the rest of the day. Something which has become increasingly common in days of late.
Entering a staring match with Konro for a few moments I eventually respond, "Why you even here, shouldn't you be at work or something?" who was dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, a stark contrast from his usual kimono.
Cracking open his cold beverage Konro says "I'm taking a break till it's dark, business is pretty slow on days like this anyway, but that's got nothing to do with you going out with your classmates." while passing me a can as well.
Sighing I tell him "I was going to go anyway, swimming sounds good in this weather" as I take a quick swing of my juice.
"Great, just make sure you stay safe Villains are popping up everywhere just now" to which I nodded my head.
Just after the exams finished most of my classmates went out shopping and ended up having a run in with one of the league of villains guys. It was all over the news, so even though I wasn't there, I still found out about it.
UA's warned us to be vigilant while out and about, since this was the second time the League of Villains has came into contact with our class.
---------------------------------
After taking the train into Musutafu, me a Kirishima met up before heading over to Bakugo's house.
"Man Bakugo's got some place" Kirishima stated while gazing upon the Bakugo's house.
It was a a large, single-family detached home with numerous rooms and a front window surrounded by a wall, and with a well-kept garden. Due to the area it was stationed in, a house like this would've got a fair amount of cash.
Ringing the doorbell, we stood waiting for someone to answer, not long after, the faint sounds of someone approaching the opposite of the door were heard. The wooden door swung open to reveal a woman with spiky ash-blonde hair and red eyes; the same aforementioned traits that Bakugo has. Due to her mature but youthful appearance both me and Kirishima instantly thought Bakugo has a sister he wasn't telling anyone about.
With a polite smile she asks "What can I do for you two boys?"
With a small amount of blush marring his cheeks Kirishima replies "Hello ma'am, we're here to see if Bakugo wants to come to the school pool for some endurance training"
The blonde haired woman's eyes lit up at his words as she said "Oh, so you must be my sons classmates, it's good to know there's some people who can put up with his personality. Although I'm glad you swung by, couldn't you have called Bakugo, it would've saved you coming all the way here"
As she spoke I was still focused on the part where she said Bakugo was her son. It's crazy if you compare her looks to what her age should be, maybe she's got a quirk that has something to do with her youthfulness.
Rubbing the back of his head Kirishima replies "I already tried that, he never answered but I didn't want him to be left out so the two of us decided to stop by and ask him in person"
As he finished the lady's eyes sharped as she told us "Wait here for a moment, I'll tell Bakugo to get his stuff ready" before turning away and heading into her house, as she walked away my eyes were drawn to her round bottom that giggled from the confines of her skirt at each step.
Resisting the urge to whistle, I elbow Kirishima and say "Bakugo's mom has got it going on" which broke him out of his momentary stupor.
Averting his eyes he replies "Dude that our classmates mom you're talking about" to which I shrugged my shoulders, I've always had a thing for older women, probably because there's hardly anyone my age in Asakusa.
As I was about to say something else a roar came from inside the house "Katsuki! Get your swimming stuff packed this instant! Your friends are at the door! Don't make them stand around for longer than they already have!"
"Shut up old hag! I'm not going to the damn pool!" We heard Bakugo yell back.
"I never gave birth to you just so you should talk back to me! Hurry up get your stuff packed and get out!" His mother retorts.
Releasing that whistle I was holding in, I state "I guess that's where Bakugo gets his temper from.
-----------------------------------
One Bakugo and an apology from Mitsuki later, and we were at the school pool changing into our swimsuits. Once he was finished Bakugo stormed outside, still angry he went to the resident bully victim Deku to blow off some steam, sadly for him Kirishima managed to hold him back before he could rip somebody's head off.
Looking around I saw all of the males sitting at the side of the pool taking a break, while the girls were messing around in the pool, playing some sort of ball game.
Although Bakugo was held back, he still managed to instigate a race between all of the boys. At this point the girls had left the pool and asked to help out.
With the girls presiding over the competition the boys split into heats to see who could swim the fastest. Seriously, what was wrong with just a bit of swimming, not everything has to be a competition.
The first race had Bakugo in it, and completely disregarding the swimming part of the race used the quirk to boost himself to the other side. To top it off he called it freestyle swimming.
Although no one thought it was fair, it never stopped them from doing the same thing once it was they're turn. Me included.
When my turn came up I just flew myself over before jumping in the other half of the pool for a swim. Might as well, at the rate things are going I wouldn't have even to go for a swim.
Since there was still two heats till I was up again there was plenty of time for me to get a few laps in.
By the time I had done a few lengths of the pool, I heard the splashing of someone jumping in, moments later a girl who had a massive set of eyes emerged from the water with a ribbit.
"What's up Benimaru. Haven't seen you since summer started. You been up to much?" she asked in nasally tone.
"Not much really, mostly relaxing. It's not like we'll have much time for it with the summer camp coming up." I replied while pulling myself out the water to sit on the edge of the pool.
Looking up at me with only her head visible above the water she says "Me and some of the other girls were thinking about going out for something to eat once our times up here. Think the boys would want to come?"
I didn't even need to think to know the answer to that question, Kaminari especially would jump at the chance to go somewhere with a group of girls.
"Definitely, pretty sure all of them would want to go, bar Bakugo, but he'll come." I said as the last heat ended.
Cupping her larger than normal hands under her chin she wonders "How'd you know that, I'm still surprised he came to the pool instead of just everyone off"
"Let's just say there's someone who can put Bakugo in his place." I told Tsuyu, standing up I reach out to give her a hand out the pool, but after dipping underwater for a moment she leapt out to my side by herself.
Moving over to the starting positions it was me, Deku, Todoroki and Bakugo vying for first place. Looking at each of their faces, I struggled to see why they were taking this so seriously, but each to their own I guess.
Since the three of them were so focused on the race, they failed to notice a tired looking Aizawa appear behind the other. With his eyes glowing all red and menacingly, I already knew all of our quirks were disabled.
So when Ida gave the starting signal, and the three idiots jumped at the pool, I just stood and stifled my laughter when they all splashed into the pool with dumb expressions.
"It's 5 o'clock, that's your time here up" The teacher plainly stated.
One of the students tried to bargain an extra few minutes by saying "Come on Mr. Aizawa, it was just getting to the good part" in a begging tone.
"Did I stutter?" He shot back with a stronger glare, which easily made the students accept their fate.
With Aizawa on our backs everyone got chanced extra fast, and met up just outside the pool building.
This was when Mina called out to the boys and asked "Guys me and the girls are wondering if you want to go and grab something to eat, since it'll probably be the last time we all meet before summer camp"
It never took long for everyone to agree, even Bakugo caved in once Kirishima threatened to tell his mother.
As we all made our way down the utter bastard of a hill Midoriya crept up behind me, this continued for the better part of a minute before he finally said "S-Shinmon, I was just wondering, but why are you wearing your Hero costume?" this drew the attention of a couple people to me, basically all the ones who don't know where I live.
Resisting the urge to facepalm, I explain to the curious boy in a matter-of-fact tone "It's not my costume, it's just normal clothes. We're not allowed to take our costumes out of UA, so how could I be wearing mine?"
Blushing for some reason, Midoriya averts his eyes before apologising for his mistake. Although he's making improvements with his quirk, his mental game still needs a bit of work. At least he can speak to Bakugo without fainting now.
With that, the class walked off to the nearest BBQ place for our last meal together before the summer camp started.
