Walking through the halls of UA, I'm trying to find my class. What doesn't help is that there's no directions showing me where to go so I'm just walking around aimlessly till I see the door with the sign 1-A.
While looking for my class, I was constantly messing around with my collar and red tie. After not wearing uniform for a few months forgot how uncomfortable there were to wear, undoing the top button of my shirt, I loosed me tie slightly giving my neck some breathing room.
The uniform consists of a light grey blazer with blue-green stripes along with a red tie, white shirt and trousers that are the same colour as the stripes.
While strolling around I thought back to the time the letter from UA arrived.
{Flashback 2 months}
I was sitting at the table with Konro, Hinata and Hikage eating some lunch when we saw the mail man about to arrive at my door.
Immediately after locating their target the twins dashed outside, reaching the mail man before he could deliver the letter.
Snatching the envelope from the mans had they quickly ran back inside, while the mailman was left laughing at the little girls antics.
Rushing back through the front entrance Hinata was waving the letter around while Hikage ran circles around her.
"Waka the letter from UA's here!"
"We'll laugh at you if you fail hehe!"
Before the could continue their shenanigans, Konro picked the two of them up by the collar and sat the back on their chairs.
"I know your excited but you can go wild after you finish eating" Konro lectured.
Being reminded of lunch the two of them dug back into their food, seemingly totally forgetting about what they were previously excited about.
Konro turned to me with the letter, his outstretched hand wavering more and more as I got closer to grabbing it.
Seriously, why's he more nervous than me right now?
Taking the letter from his grasp I tell him "You better take a seat if this how your acting before I've even opened it"
Heeding my warning Konro nervously sat in his chair and waited for me to open the envelope.
Not wasting anymore time I rip the roof of the envelope and pour out the contents onto the table. Inside was a letter with a bunch of fancy writing and a small circular coin object. Picking up the letter I read it while Konro stared on in anticipation.
Silence ensued between the two of us, the noise coming from the twins fading into the back ground as I slowly raised my eyes from the letter and looked Konro dead in the eyes.
"I passed" I simply said.
At that moment Konro leaped from his chair and began shaking my shoulders in elevation.
"Great job Beni, I was so worried you weren't going to pass... well I knew you would in the end but that never stopped me from worrying".
Eventually he stopped shaking me and picked up the little round pad that came with the acceptance document.
Holding it up to his eye, he asked "What's this thing mean to-" before jumping back in fright.
As he was inspecting it the projector lit up, scaring the shit out of him and almost making him fall of his seat. Luckily I caught the miniature projector before it fell and placed it on the table, where a projection of All Might the #1 hero was staring right at me.
He staring going on about a load of heroic nonsense so I ended up zoning out until he started going over my scores for the practical.
On the projection, a list of the top scores appeared along the name of the participant they belonged to. Right at the very top of that list was me.
"Young man due to your excellent performance in the practical exam, with you gaining a total point tally of 93... you have ranked first in the exam!" All Might said in his powerful voice while flashing his famous smile that never seems to leave his face.
'Benimaru Shinmon - 72 Villain points - 21 Rescue points - Rank 1st'
Looks like I came first, although someone would've beat me if it wasn't for rescue points being a thing. Oh well, not as if I was giving it my all anyway, but that just means that there's a possibility that this Bakugo could give me a good fight.
While flashing the camera a thumbs up All Might declared "We hope to see you at UA this coming semester, where you can push even further beyond your limits" before the projection flickered off.
{Flashback end}
There was a wild party all over the town after Konro spread the news of my acceptance, not that there was any doubt but the towns folk would take any excuse they could to throw a party and get drunk.
Eventually after walking around for an extra ten minutes I found the sign that had 1-A written on it. It was hung outside a massive door easily three times the height of normal ones, probably to fix any student with a mutant quirk that effects their size.
Sliding the door open my figure is revealed to everyone that was in the class, inside was a variety of different people with different quirks, but one thing they all had in common was their desire to become heroes.
Only around half the class was in right now, one of them being Tsuyu who was currently speaking with a well developed girl with long black hair and someone with wild spikey red hair along with jagged teeth.
Closing the door behind me I start walking over to Tsuyu who was currently waving at me, bringing the attention of the other two next to her onto me.
As I sat on the edge of one of the desks Tsuyu asks me "What took you so long to get here Benimaru? You said you arrived at UA 15 minutes ago" Catching notice of my name pony tail and red heads eyes widened, especially red head. His were close to popping out their sockets.
"I ended up getting lost, there's hardly any directions around here, it's a pain in the ass" I replied.
Before Tsuyu could say anything else the red hair boy appeared in front of me, getting way to close for comfort.
"Is your name Benimaru Shinmon, the guy who took first place in the exam!" He shouted with visible enthusiasm.
"That's me, but who are you?" I asked
Taking a step back he says "I'm Eijiro Kirishima, I came in at 3rd for the exam. It's cool to meet one of the people who beat me"
So this guy came in third just below me and that Bakugo, he seems like a decent enough guy. I wonder what his quirk is, and if it has something to do with his hair.
Just after Kirishima introduced himself, the attractive girl next to him done the same.
"My name's Momo Yaoyorozu, It's nice to meet you"
Nodding at Yaoyorozu I turn to Tsuyu and asked "So, you got any idea who our teacher is? The letter didn't say anything about who it was."
"No idea, the only thing we know is that it must be a pro hero" she said in her nasally voice.
From the remaining time we had until class started, we spoke about random topics while, more of the students arrived in the room. I eventually found out who Bakugo was, to summarise it he was basically a loud mouthed blonde ball of anger. Not long after getting to class he ended up arguing with the four eyed I remembered from the practical exam explanation.
There was also the boy-girl pair from the gate, so all in all there's quite a few familiar faces going about.
Soon after they both arrived a tired looking man in a sleeping bag appeared at the door, from his face I'm sure he looked familiar. Unzipping it, he revealed his pyjama-like black hero suit, along with a extremely long scarf draped around his shoulders.
That's when it hit me, the reason I thought he was familiar was because he turned up is Asakusa once after some guy with a gigantification quirk started wrecking havoc. By the time he turned up the villain was already dealt with but he stuck around for the clean up asking to ask around in attempt to find out who beat him.
This got a bit crazy in Tokyo back then. Someone was facilitating a quirk booster drug to the villains and even injecting random citizens to create chaos. A few people is Asakusa had it done to them as well and got brought in for interrogation.
"Hello I'm Shota Aizawa... your teacher"
This shocked the entire class, as no one expected the sleepy looking man to be their teacher. While they were shocked I was trying to remember what his quirk was, he used it back then to shrink the giant back to size.
"Right, let's get to it, put these on and head outside" he tiredly said while holding up one of the UA tracksuits.
After quickly changing in the tracksuits, we were brought out to a sports field. Along the ground were painted white lines, marking out the area used for several different events.
We were all standing next to the shot put field when Aizawa told us what was going on.
"Right, now that you're all here. We'll start the quirk assessment test"
This confused the everyone, including me. This prompted the ball headed girl with the bob cut to ask "What about orientation? we're going to miss it."
Mr. Aizawa then went on to tell us how the teaching at UA worked and how he was free to teach his class as he sees fit. This is one of the reasons why UA is so sought after for aspiring heroes, the school gives both the teachers and students a large amount of freedom to express themselves. This means that every class could have a totally different teaching style from each other, the only thing in common is that they all have to follow a set curriculum and cover all of it by the end of the year.
He also voiced his complaints about the ministry of education but that doesn't really matter.
"You've been taking standardised tests most of your lives, but you've never gotten to use your quirks in physically exams before" he stated while holding his phone up showing us the events we would be doing.
"Shinmon, Even though you never got the most villain point you still had the highest overall score. What was your farthest distance throw with a soft ball in junior high?" When the teacher called out my name, Bakugo's head whipped in my direction staring at me with what most would call a scary look.
Thinking for a moment, I then reply "Can't remember it's been ages since I last done it."
"Whatever then, just try doing it with your quirk this time" He told me sounding exhausted.
Nodding my head at him I walked into the starting position as he threw me the ball. Now I was wondering what I should do with it, I could either try propelling it with my flames to give it a boost or I could coat the ball in fire and just control it.
Both options have their own draw backs, if I use the first option the ball won't go as far, if I use the second the ball might just burn and disappear before it gets far enough. Oh well, both will take the ball pretty far, so might as well try the second.
Resting the ball in my palm of my hands, a blaze soon covered the soft ball. Taking a second to condense a more solidified layer of fire around it, I cocked me arm back and launched the ball as far as I could.
As soon as the ball left my fingertips I began speeding up the flames surrounding the projectile, causing it to speed up to an insane degree. But the price of this was the ball burning away mid flight, and just before the ball completely left everyone's line of sight the last pieces of the softball finally turned to ash.
Fizzling the last of my flames out I turned to Aizawa who was looking at his phone for the reading
"1856 meters before disappearing" He said while showing the class the reading. Many in the class were impressed and excited that they were going to be able to use their quirks for everything, but Aizawa quickly shut down their chattering by saying training to become a hero wasn't a joke and the student who comes last will be expelled.
The face he made while saying it actually made me shiver a bit, it was similar to the looks Konro would give me as a kid when he was dead serious about a punishment. Sure I'll admit I was scared of him as a kid but I'd never say it to his face.
We then done a series of 8 tests that would show our current limits, along with what our quirks are best suited for.
First was a 50m dash, to pass that I used the flames coming out my arms as extra thrust to cross the finishing line in a tidy time of 3.97 seconds.
Second was a grip strength test. For this one I rolled my sleeve up and let flames burst out my wrist to help push down on the machine, which ended up with me getting a score higher than most of the class. A massive guy with six arms end up getting a huge score for this test, proving just how strong those arms of his are.
For the rest of the test I used my quirk in different ways to help me get a higher score. I'm sure I'll end up coming in second, Yaoyorozu's quirks just far too versatile to beat in these tests.
While I was waiting for the others to finish the freckly boy with the green hair stepped up to his last test, the softball throw. This guys weird, really weird, and I'm not just talking about his personality. He's not used his quirk once during this entire test, and from what I've heard he took down one of those zero pointers with one punch back in the entrance exams.
Which begs the question, why hasn't he used it. The way things are going he'll be coming last and no way I'd be chancing it with someone like Aizawa as a teacher.
After the boys internal debate with himself he finally went to throw the thing. During the wind up streaks of red flashed across his arm filling his muscles with unbelievable power... but the end result was underwhelming, a measly 30 something meters.
Damn the kid looks like the worlds crashing down around him. Snapping him out of his despair was the teachers scarf, which tied him up and dragged him towards Aizawa.
"I erased your quirk" this was all we could hear we could hear from the side lines until Midoriya shouted his name 'Eraser Head'. That's what his name was, Aizawa's quirk allows him to disable the quirk of everyone within his line of sight.
That's a seriously dangerous ability, most people would be rendered useless without their quirk, making them an easy target for those bandages of his. I'll need to come up with something to counter it, what if a villain had a similar ability? I'd end up at a serious disadvantage from then on.
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
After their talk was finished Midoriya went back to take another throw but this time instead of using his full arm he just pinged the ball with one of his fingers. Throwing it a total of 705 meters but shattering his finger in the process.
Moments after the throw Bakugo flipped, running towards Midoriya with explosions going off in his palms. Luckily for Deku as Bakugo calls him, eraser held the raging student back before he got too close. There's definitely some bad blood going on between those two, wonder why.
After that we all gathered round our homeroom teacher where he showed us the scores on a projector.
'1st Momo Yaoyorozu, 2nd Shinmon Benimaru, 3rd Shoto Todoroki, 4th Katsuki Bakugo...'
Good enough, Todoroki seems pretty good with that ice quirk of his anyway.
"And I was lying no ones going home, that was just a rational deception to make sure you gave it your all in the tests." Aizawa explained with a unnerving grin on his face.
This got a variety of reactions from the students with Yaoyorozu piping up and saying "Surprised the rest of you didn't figure that out, sorry I guess I should've said something" which made a group of students sweat drop.
"That's it. We're done for the day, pick up a syllabus in the classroom and have it read by tomorrow" Eraser told us, walking away before he was even finished.
The next day, nothing interesting really happened at school, until after lunch . It was just normal classes you would get at a normal high school. It's safe to say that the pupils of class 1-A weren't too happy about it, most of them were expecting the hero course to be well... more heroic?
The only interesting thing about the classes were the teachers that took the subject. Namely Present Mic and Midnight.
Mics a nice guy that tries his best to me grammar fun, even though that's impossible. The only downside is that he uses his quirk if someone's not paying attention to his lessons, and trust me it's not quiet.
That leaves Midnight, all I can say is that she's good at keeping the attention of the students in class, especially the boys. The hero costume she wears leaves very little to the imagination and when you wear it in front of a bunch of hormonal teenagers, your always going to get so adverse reactions.
One day the class was sitting waiting for the teacher when an absolute mountain of a man squeezes through the room door. In a skin tight bodysuit, the current number 1 hero arrived.
"I am here! Coming through the door like a hero!" All Might exclaimed with his trademark smile still beaming on his face.
The class got pretty rowdy when he appeared, although everyone knew All Might would be teaching at UA, there was no sign of him till just now so people were surprised that came by unannounced.
"For todays class, we'll be doing some battle training!" exciting the class even more, finally we would be doing something more hero like.
"But one of the keys to being a hero issss! Looking good!" pressing a button briefcases popped out of the wall, each one highlighted with a different number.
"These we're designed for you base on your quirk registration form and the requests you sent in when school started. Your suit should be the one with your seat number on it."
"Get yourself suited up and meet me at training ground beta!"
Picking my case up, I went with everyone to the changing rooms. Everyone seemed really excited about their new costumes, since they hadn't seem them yet they probably wanted to hurry up and check what they looked like.
As soon as everyone entered the changing rooms they broke out their costumes.
Mine was relatively basic compared to everyone else's, it was just something I'd wear roaming around Asakusa. In the box was a white t-shirt, a black vest, some blue trousers, a kimono of the same colour and some plain black boots to wear on my feet. The only thing special about my costume was that everything was made of fireproof materials so they wouldn't be scorched off if I turn the heat up. Of course there's limits to that but in most situations the clothes should hold up.
I might even see if I can get a few more sets of these clothes to wear in day to day life, cause these garbs are pretty comfy.
While I was pulling my boots on Kirishima commented on my attire.
"Man your hero costume's pretty plain don't you think?" he said
"At least I've got a full costume, you not going to be cold in that?" I told him while taking notice of his toned body. He must've worked hard for muscles like that considering he doesn't have a strength enhancing quirk.
Laughing at my reply he says "You've got a point there, I'll probably change it once the weather starts getting worse. Still you need to tell me how you work out, someone doesn't have muscles like that without putting the work in."
"Oh, so you were watching me get changed now were you. I'll tell you now, I'm not into guys" I remarked while raising my eyebrow.
"Nah man, you know I never meant anything like that." He defended waving his arms around in the process.
Once everyone finished with there costumes we headed for training ground beta, meeting the girls of the class on our way we walked over together. The girls costumes caught the eyes of the boys, especially Yaoyorozu's, she seemed to take a leaf from Midnights book since her costume was pushing the limits of skin exposure.
On the way over Tsuyu bounced over next to me and asked about my costume
"Your hero costume's surprisingly tame, ribbit" she said
"What were you expecting?" I asked he short girl while taking a look at her own outfit. Tsuyu was wearing what looked like a skin tight wet-suit along with large white gloves, from what she was wearing you could tell she would be specialising in maritime environments.
"Something that stands out more, or one like Bakugo's that highlights your quirk. Did you pick your costume because it represents Asakusa?" Tsuyu assumed.
"Not really, it's just something I'm comfortable with wearing, so I might as we'll fight in something similar" I told her.
When we arrived at ground beta All Might was waiting outside of one of the buildings. I wonder how long he's been standing like that for.
Once the group arrived next to All Might, the number one hero pulled out a script and started telling us about the lesson.
To shorten it, we would be having a series of 2v2 fights against members of our class. One pair playing as 'Villains' and one team playing as 'Heroes'. To win the hero team must either capture the enemy team or retrieve the 'Nuke' from the building, while the villain team would win by either capturing the enemy team or successfully protecting the weapon for the allotted time.
After he was done with the explanation he said "Now you shall draw lots to decide your teammate" while pulling a ballot box out of nowhere.
One by one the class drew lot until everyone had their matches decided. I got paired with Yaoyorozu as the villain team, which I was fine with since our quirks harmonised well together.
We were pitted against Kaminari and Jiro, who I just noticed had very similar clothing styles.
Once the first round participants moved to their starting positions, All Might took us to another building nearby which had a large screen that showed what was going on inside. Taking a seat I watched the big screen while waiting for the match to start.
While moving the the villains starting positions, I thought back on the previous matches that just took place. From them I was able to see most of my classmates quirks and their uses.
The first fight got taken way out of hand by Bakugo and Midoriya, the two of them nearly destroyed the building they were meant to be fighting in which All Might was quick to point out on their return, well Bakugo's, Midoriya was taken to recovery girl after destroying his arm.
Midoriya, while having a strong quirk doesn't seem to be able to utilise it properly, effectively going out of commission if he even tries to use it. So in my books he's pretty much useless at the moment.
Bakugo on the other hand is a totally different story. He's skilled at using his quirk and can do it in a variety of ways, he even came up with the idea of storing his sweat for an even bigger blast. All of this make him dangerously effective in combat. The only things that hold him back is his arrogance and lack of clarity.
He never thought Midoriya could beat him so he prolonged the fight and gave Midoriya a chance do blow that hole in the roof, which lead to Bakugo's team loosing.
If he could rein it in a bit, he'd be close to unstoppable as a student.
But back to the present, me and Yaoyorozu were standing next to the fake bomb waiting for the signal to start.
Turning to my partner I asked "You got a plan for this?"
Crossing her arms she replied "I was planning to create an insulator to barricade the doors and wait for the time to run out. Neither of them have heavy hitting quirks so as long as the materials strong enough they should be locked out."
A sound strategy if I've ever heard one. If I was to take a guess then their plan would be something along the lines of Jiro scouting our location then sending Kaminari in to let some electricity loose. So blocking the doors would pretty much end if for them.
But then I'd have to wait around for 15 minutes doing nothing, so I ask my teammate about her quirk.
"How complex a thing can your create with your quirk?"
Thinking for a moment she responds "As long as it's not something I've never heard of I should be able to create it"
"Then can you make a drone with a camera and something to see through it. A few metal rods as well" I asked
"I can, but why?" she curiously said.
"It'll speed the fight up, I'm sure you don't want to waste a whole 15 minutes waiting around" I told her
Yaoyorozu thought for a moment before saying "Alright, just give me a minute and I'll make them".
Turning herself around she pulled the straps of her costume to the side as the area around her chest as stomach began to light up. From the light appeared the items I asked for, once the were all made she turned back round.
Noticing the intrigued look I was giving her, she said "My quirk works by converting the lipids in my boy into the various atoms i use to make things. But I can only create something from exposed skin, which is why my costume shows so much."
Nodding at her answer I then ask her "Can you pilot the drone to find out where the two of them are?"
"No problem" she said, picking up the remote and flying the drone out the window. While I moved over to the metal rods she created.
Picking up one the them, I begin to inspect it. Compared to metal rods you'd find lying around a building site, the ones Yaoyorozu creates are of a better quality, since they don't have any excess waste material inside them.
This also means that they should be able to handle a higher temperature. Maybe I could ask her to make me some materials if I ever need some equipment.
"Shinmon, I've got eyes on them, look" Moving over next to her I look at the medium sized screen that's getting the feedback from the drone.
"Now what?, there heading up fast so we need go make a move." She urged
"Just keep them in view I'll handle it from here" I said.
Looking at the pile of metal rods on the ground my eyes began glowing red as the end of each pole burst into flames. Each one flew out the window and circled round the building at high speeds.
Moving back my sight back to the screen Yaoyorozu looked on as I manoeuvre the projectiles towards the two downstairs.
{Jiro POV}
Currently we were running through the building, when me and Kaminari were about to reach the next set of stairs he looked back at me.
"Check it Jiro, who knows they might've moved since the last time. We don't want to be caught off guard" said the blonde haired boy
Agreeing with him I lodged my earphone jacks into the wall and started listening in for movement. Unlike before there was no sound coming from above, that either means they've stopped moving all together or they've left the building.
Waiting a little longer, I tried to notice any minute irregularities in the sound when I heard a faint roaring of something. Very quickly the sound got louder, that was when I realised. Fire I was hearing the roaring of flames heading straight towards us.
"Kaminari we need to leave now!" I yelled at my teammate.
"Wha-" Before he could reply the glass windows shattered behind us, flying through were a group of flaming metal rods gunning straight for us.
Before I'd even moved, Kaminari was struck in the gut with one of them. As he fell to his knees, a second came and knocked him unconscious.
I never even had time to think before I felt something colliding with my stomach. What follow was an unreal amount of pain, it felt as if my body just shut down from the blow. Falling to the side I could hardly keep my eyes open as I lay on the ground struggling to breathe.

{Benimaru POV}
If your wondering why I didn't just walk down and throw my flames all over the place, remember that it's just a practice exercise and if I use fire, there's a high chance of them ending up with permanent scarring. I'm not really into doing that for no reason so I'll need to commission a bit of equipment for this sort of thing.
Quickly standing up, a pole flew through the window into my hands.
Turning to Yaoyorozu I ask "You ready to go tie them up, and end this"
Snapping out of her daze she says "That was impressive, knocking them out that quickly with minimal injuries takes a great amount of control"
"Mhm, you want to fly down? it'll be quicker" I said while waving the rod in my grip.
She seemed hesitant but I assured her it would be safe... as long as she holds on tight enough. Even if she falls I'll be able to catch her before she hits the ground.
Once she decided, bot ends of the pole lit up as the flames kept it in the air. Patting it I told her to hop on.
Nervously, Yaoyorozu perched herself on top of the metal shaft, grabbing onto the base with both hands she waited for me to start flying.
Sitting just in front of the young lady I warned her "Better hold on tight" as the flames started to become more violent. When we left the window Yaoyorozu latched onto the back of my kimono, probably a bit frightened from the height.
Swiftly I pilot us through the smashed windows from earlier to see a KO'd Kaminari and the barely breathing Jiro. So she's still conscious huh? must be tougher than she looks.
As soon as we landed Yaoyorozu visibly relaxed and quickly created some rope.
"Here tie them up with this" She said throwing me a bundle.
Within the minute we had them tied up, that was when the sirens went off and All Might shouted through the speaker.
"Your indoor combat training is over. The Villain team wins!"
Moments later the medical robots, came to move Kaminari and Jiro to the infirmary.
Watching them leave on the stretchers Yaoyorozu asked me "Do you think they'll be okay?"
"Should be, I only knocked them out so they be back soon" Igniting the rod again I ask "You want a ride back?".
Somewhat shakily she nods and moves onto the ride, when she was ready we took off and flew full speed back to where All Might was.
The day after the indoor battle training started of like any other day, a normal class in the morning followed by another before starting the hero course work after lunch. Only today Eraser took the class before lunch, and after analysing the matches for everyone in the class he said in a grave tone.
"let's get down to business, your first task will decide your future..." everyone tensed up thinking it would another quirk examination, but that tension left the room as quickly as it came.
"You all need to pick a class representative" he finished and began pulling out a sleeping bag from under his desk.
The class instantly exploded in liveliness, everyone wanted to be the class rep apparently, bar me Todoroki, Tokoyami and maybe Shoji, I couldn't tell with his face being covered by his mask. All in all I think I've got a decent grasp of my classmates personalities so far and by my standard's they're a decent group of people.
Eventually Ida stood up and somehow managed to get everyone to do a vote, to decide who gets to be Class Rep. That was all I needed to see to know who I was voting for, even though Ida's got a stick so far up his ass you can see it when he talks, he'll do his job properly. Just hope he cuts everyone some slack while he's at it.
Why I don't want to be the Class Rep? Simple really. It's too much hassle being responsible for a group of people, I already get enough grief from the folk back home. The started treating me like their boss the last few years, I just stopped fighting it after a certain point and let them say what the want. But since I joined the hero course their belief in me has be strengthened to the point of no return, half of them are probably already making preparations for me opening an agency and taking them in as sidekicks.
Their not exactly wrong either, that is the plan so far. If I managed to make an agency in Asakusa I could take in all the vigilantes as sidekicks turning them legit, eventually they'd be able to earn their hero licences and everything else that comes with them. After that the streets of Asakusa could rest in peace and I could spend the rest of my time messing around.
Soon the everyone voted and the class representative was chosen, the results shocked me. Well only the Representative did, the vice made sense since Yaoyorozu has it together better than most people in the class. But Midoriya, no way was I expecting this one, just look at him, he's shaking and stuttering from taking to a class of 20 students.
How that's Class Rep material, I'll never know.
Turns out I was the only one who voted for Ida, which I thought was surprising. Looking over at him I saw him sitting at his desk with a defeated look on his face, still he sucked it up and got over it quickly enough.
Someone ended up voting for me as well, no idea who thought I would be a good leader but at least it was only one person.
After the class Representatives we chosen we got to leave for lunch. The cafeteria was massive in UA since it had to fit every student from every course into one area making it quite a sight for first time viewers. Going up for some food I ended up getting the sukiyaki with some white rice, same as yesterday. I swear, I could eat this stuff till the end and lunch rush's amazing cooking just makes the food taste even better.
After paying for the food, I looked for some people to sit with.
After a quick scan of the room I found Tsuyu, she was sitting at a table with Kirishima, Jiro and Momo along with a group of other people.
Taking a seat in near the middle of the table between Jiro and a black haired girl, I began eating.
While going through my mean, it was easy to notice that Jiro seemed quite uncomfortable, probably because of what happened during the battle training.
Hoping to remedy that I say "I don't bite, you know" while reaching for my drink.
"I know, it's just that yesterday was the first time I was hit hard by another person. So I'm just a bit shaken, s-sorry" she stuttered making small glances at me throughout the entire sentence.
"Better get used to it, chances are you'll get battered and bruised at some point if your a hero" I said but it never seemed to chance her mood.
"Still you were tough out there, I thought you would've just passed out like Kaminari" I told her honestly.
This made her perk up a bit a the compliment "You trying to say a girl can't be tough?" Jiro questioned as she started to get out her slump.
"Not at all, if anyone can't be tough it'll be Aoyama" I pointed out.
Chuckling lightly at my comment Jiro replied "Yea I can't see him getting his hands dirty with that costume of his"
Seriously that Aoyama's definetely got some issues, he's always sparkle this sparkle that. Even his costumes a shining hunk of garbage.
"Hey! aren't you the fire guy from the entrance exam?" A voice asked from across the table.
Looking in the direction where it came from, I was met with a pretty blue eyed girl with orange hair tied in a side ponytail.
Racking my brains for a moment I tried to match her appearance to a name.
"Your the girl with the massive hands" I told her, since that's the only thing I could remember about her.
"Wow, you even remember my quirk. I never would've thought you took notice of anyone with all that flying around you done" She said.
"I can-" cutting me off was the sound of a warning message coming through the speakers. I overheard a second or third year in the cafeteria saying this alarm was for when someone breaks into UA.
Once the announcement was finished everyone in the cafeteria ran to the designated areas, causing mass blockages in the halls.
Everyone that was sitting at the table was moving through the sea of people in a group, so the small members wouldn't get pushed around by the crowd.
At some point the traffic stopped moving completely from the amount of people rushing through the halls. Because of this I ended up squashed against the same girl I was sitting next to back at the table.
She was a couple inches shorter than me with straight black hair and an emotionless visage, even while being pressed against me.
While we were stuck together, she just stared up at me not voicing any complaints. It was pretty awkward, so to break the staring contest I asked her "So, what's your name?"
Continuing to look into my eyes she eventually said quietly "Yui Kodai".
I almost never heard her over all the noise, "Do you always speak this quiet?" I asked the girl, getting a brief nod in return. Seems like she's not the talking type.
Her lack of responses devolved the situation back to a staring contest, that I never bothered to change.
At some point down the line Ida started floating a gave everyone a speech about how UA students should act, while also informing them about the reporters who broke into UA which calmed everyone down.
After that the crowd dispersed back to their respective classrooms since lunch was already over. I was about to do the same when someone tugged at my uniform.
Looking down at the person responsible, she softly says "Call me Yui" and gently waved while walking to her class.
What a strange girl.
