Kabukichou is an entertainment and red-light district in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. Kabukichou is the location of many host and hostess clubs, love hotels, shops, restaurants, and nightclubs, and is often called the "Sleepless Town".

There are a variety of people who are strolling around this place, from a host, prostitute, love hotel's agent, salaryman, university student, yakuza, and even a high school student.

Though today will be a bit special.

Everyone was looking at a single man who was walking conspicuously with a red flannel shirt tucked into his light blue jeans under his black waist belt. He was fairly tall, standing at 6 feet 1 inch from close observation, which made his pants look undersized, showing his white socks. His bangs and thick glasses made it hard for people to make out his face. He was walking around in his white sneakers and a loaded backpack that looked quite heavy, all the while scanning the district. 

*Snickers!* *Snickers!*

"Look at that!"

"There is an Otaku there!"

"Why is he coming here?"

"I wonder if he wants to throw away his virginity?"

Whether he heard their conversation was uncertain, but he paid no mind to it either way. He blushed whenever he saw a woman in revealing clothing. His actions caused people around him to laugh harder. 

"Boy, if you want to throw away your virginity. Why don't you come to my shop? This big sister will teach you a lot of things...."

Suddenly a woman with thick makeup and heavy perfume walked towards him and made a circular motion with her finger on his chest. She had confidence in her charm and believed that this Otaku boy would fall for her soon. But she was quite surprised when she touched his body and exclaimed, "My.. You're quite muscular for an Otaku...."

The man moved back and bowed his head before escaping from this woman.

His actions caused laughter from people around him, but the woman was quiet, she could tell he was a stranger to the district

"What is he?"

The woman frowned looking at the back of that man while wondering about the identity of the man. She was wondering what that guy was doing in this ward. She looked at the dark sky and wondered whether there would be something happening in this sleepless town.

"Mikata, how is the situation?"

The man who was walking away from the woman heard a sound coming from his small earphone. The people in his surroundings didn't even notice his earphones since it was quite small and the black color made it hard for people to see it at night.

The man sighed, "Higashikata-san, why do I have to wear these nerd clothes?" He was an assistant inspector yet he had to wear such lame clothes. He didn't mind wearing it but why did he have to tuck his shirt inside his pants? He was also quite tired of acting as a cherry boy in this city of sin. He really attracted a lot of attention and it started to bother him.

"Don't forget about our mission."

The man sighed hearing his superior's voice, "I know...." He decided to shut his mouth since he couldn't deal with this guy, "How is the suspect?"

"I see him from my place," Higashikata answered and said, "You need to be ready! We have to catch him no matter what!" He was very serious when he said these words to him.

"I understand," his tone became serious when he heard his superior's voice.

They didn't continue to talk to each other since they needed to get ready to catch the drug dealer that had been selling a drug to the group of Otaku and promoted his goods through various forums on the internet. They had heard that this drug was quite popular among the group of Otaku since it could make them see their favorite characters in reality from hallucinations. They knew that it was a very dangerous drug and it could lead to both addiction and death when it was used continuously. They had researched this case for a week and they had found the trace of this drug dealer and the location where this criminal usually sold his drug to a group of people. They didn't hesitate and went to the location directly to catch the drug dealer.

The man dressed in an Otaku disguise to blend himself around his surroundings but he knew that it was useless rather making him very conspicuous in this place. He was wondering whether his superior discriminated against the Otaku or didn't understand the culture since he had told him to wear these clothes in the middle of such a fashionable town.

However, there would be no one who thought that he was a police officer in this dress.

The man observed a lot of people along the way since it had been only a month since he reincarnated into this body. He wondered why those people didn't go back home and sleep but played in this place. He really wanted to go back and sleep right now. He shook his head and knew that he couldn't complain, 'There are sure a lot of young people here.' He saw those people go inside the club with their group of friends. His job was only to move around while waiting for his superior to take action against the drug dealer. He was quite bored and wanted to read a manga for a while. He searched for an empty seat and sat down taking out one manga from his backpack.

The man started to read manga alone and ignored the gaze of the people in his surroundings. He was quite surprised since the manga, the books, and a lot of entertainment things were different from his past world but it was also good since he could read quite a lot of interesting manga here.

The man stopped reading and frowned when he saw the person in front of him, "High school student?"

"Yes, I am sure that you're still a virgin to read manga in this place," the girl said while trying to show her school uniform, "Let's forget about that manga and have fun with me." She said while trying to pull his hand.

"You're still in high school, right? Why don't you go home?" The man asked.

The girl stopped and frowned, "Are you trying to lecture me? You're just a disgusting Otaku!" She said and sat down beside him.

The man was speechless and asked, "So you're alright sitting down with a disgusting nerd?"

The girl didn't answer him and only sat down while looking at the group of people who were strolling around this town.

The man thought for a while and took something from his backpack before giving it to the girl, "For you."

The girl was a bit surprised, "Manga?"

"I can see that you're quite bored," The man said and smiled, "Sometimes to have fun, you don't need to go out in this crowded place." He looked at her and said, "Also, this is your first time doing this right? You should go back or you will make your parents worried about you." He then stopped lecturing her and continued reading his manga. He was ready in his position and waited for the order of his superior.

"..."

The girl looked at him for a bit and took out his thick glasses while raising his bangs, "Mister, no, Big Brother, you're very handsome....."

The man took the glasses from her and wore them back to disguise himself. He was wondering whether he could raise his disguise skill later since the disguise from his superior had a very bad sense of fashion and it was very lame. He looked at the girl and said, "Don't bother me and go back to your home."

"No! My parents have abandoned me! I don't have anywhere to stay! Big brother let me stay at your house! No, the hotel is fine! We can have fun in that place then...." The girl was quite excited after she had taken off this man's disguise. She kept trying to act as pitiful as possible trying to get him into a hotel. She knew that once this man had taken off these lame clothes he would become the handsome Prince in her imagination. She started to observe him and could see that his body was quite good. She tried to touch his arm and couldn't help but exclaim, "It's hard...."

The man twitched his lips as he heard the girl. He didn't want anyone to misunderstand their relationship, "Can you not bother me anymore?" He didn't have an interest in an underaged girl.

The girl didn't even listen to him but she was more than eager trying to invite him to the hotel.

The man sighed and felt a bit tired. He really wanted to go back and sleep right now. He began to wonder why he had been reincarnated into an assistant police inspector.

"Mikata! The culprit is running toward you!"

The man was startled when he heard his superior's voice. He stood up and tried to search for the culprit among the crowd.

"What's wrong?" The girl was surprised when she saw him suddenly standing up from the seat.

"GET OUT THE WAY! GET OUT THE WAY!"

Suddenly there was a loud voice running in his direction.

"Kyaaaa!!!!"

"He has a knife!"

"Run!!!"

The crowd was in a panic when they saw a man who was running while wielding a knife trying to scare the people around.

The man who saw this scene hurriedly ran toward the direction of the suspect.

"BIG BROTHER!!!" The girl was surprised when she saw him suddenly running toward the suspect.

The suspect noticed him standing in front of him, "GET OUT THE WAY NERD! OR I'LL KILL YOU!!!!!" He said while raising his knife trying to scare him.

The man didn't back down but threw his backpack toward the suspect as hard as possible.

The suspect didn't expect him to throw his backpack. He raised his hands instinctively trying to protect himself. However, he didn't expect that the backpack would be so hard and  painful to be thrown by this backpack, "Aaahh!!!"

The man had filled his backpack with a lot of rocks earlier. He charged toward the suspect and tackled the suspect to the ground.

"Arggg!!!" The suspect let go of his knife when he was dropped to the ground and his body hit the hard concrete.

The man turned the suspect against the ground and held both of his hands in place before being handcuffed, "Police! You're under arrest!" He said while showing off his police badge to calm the crowd.

"M - Mikata, good job!" Higashikata came up to the assistant inspector through the crowd of people, breathing heavily since he had been running for a long time. He had a large beer belly from the donuts he ate every day. He tried to catch his breath while walking toward the scene.

 The assistant inspector nodded towards his superior, affirming the apprehension of the suspect before wiping the sweat on his forehead. He turned toward the high school girl that had tried to invite him to the hotel. 

"You, you're coming with me too." 

"....."

'Oh shit...' the girl thought while looking at him.
