Prologue- If she catches you, she’s going to kill you!

“Tell me child. Do you want to die?”

A group of doctors were running alongside a stretcher with a young child on it. They were screaming orders all the while trying to help the child. The child was involved in an accident and is headed towards the emergency room.

The child couldn’t see clearly and everything was a muffle. “Where am I? What happened to me?” Those were his only thoughts as he conscious was slowly slipping away. There was one thing he knew, he was dying.

Tears swelled in his eyes as he realizes his fate. “I...I don’t want to die.” Those thoughts plagued his mind as he desperately fought to voice his fear. However, no matter how much he tried to muster, he couldn’t speak. No one could hear him.

Staring into the fading darkness, the boy knew that this was the end. And so he resided his fate to what’s to come.

“Tell me child. Do you want to die?” A single voice could be heard from the dark abyss that the child was staring at. His vision was obscure but something slowly came into focus. It formed an outline shrouded in darkness. The figure floated down and stares at the child below it.

“You didn’t answer my question. Do you want to die?” Repeating the question the child could only stare and wonder what was transpiring. Was it a hallucination, his brain desperately trying to keep himself alive or had he just gone crazy? Doubt clouded his judgement and all he could do was stare at the mysterious figure.

Sensing that the child wasn’t going to answer just yet, it continued on. “You are going to die. Do you know that?” The only reply from him came in the form of a slight nod. “It is quite the unfortunate accident. To think you would go out of your way to save a single girl. Tell me was it worth it?”

The child was confused for a moment before the memory came rushing back. He had jumped into the way to protect a friend from a speeding truck. The memory burned in his mind as he recalled the event. Soon his mind wander away from him and to his friend. “Is she alright?” he wondered

“In your time of death, you still care of others.” The figure called out again, pointing out the child unusual traits. “It seems that asking whether or not you want to die has proven fruitless. So let me ask you this instead, do you want to live?”

“Is there a difference?” The boy wondered? He was lying on a stretcher slowly dying and a mysterious figure was asking nonsensical questions to him. All of his senses were numbing and slowly leaving him His conscious was almost gone and everything was descending into darkness.

In moment of death there is a phenomenon call “Life flashing before your eyes.” For the boy it was different. What flashed in his mind weren’t the happy days of his early life, rather his future. The boy easily recognizes these images as they are his dreams, his wants, his aspiration. Images of him in middle school, high school, university, a job, and finally a family.

The child can feel fresh tears starting to form as he realize that everything was over. That he would never see any of it to fruition. “Looks like you finally realizes it. Now then I will ask you again. Do you want to live?” Asking the question one last time, the mysterious figured stared upon the boy.

“Yes! I want to live!” No matter how hard he tried he couldn’t say anything to the mysterious figure. Darkness was slowly creeping in and he could feel his conscious fading away. He could feel death clutching dragging him down. He didn’t waver, constantly fighting back against the dreadful feeling.

“I..w..annnt…..t..o...li….v...e.”

Although fragmented he finally spoke just as his mind completely blacken.

There was nothing, a sea of absolute darkness. Staring into the void, the boy realized that he was too late. Resigning to the fact that it was too late he accepted his fate and waited.

“Good answer.” The voice from before reverberate through the darkness. Suddenly a brilliant flash of light illuminated the darkness and the figure appears once more in front of the boy.

********

“Not again.” Kogome Kouta was the name of the boy who tiredly muttered as he open his shoe box. Inside was a small envelope with a heart sticker, a love letter essentially. In any normal situation any boy would be excited that a girl has feelings for him. But in Kouta case, all of it was unneeded trouble for him.

It isn’t hard for anyone to figure out why Kouta was so popular. Kouta at fifteen stood at around 160 cm, taller than most of the boys at his school. His short wavy hair was a glistening dark blue hue that complemented his blacken eyes. Wearing the school's standard uniform, a white shirt with a black jumper to complement it and long black trouser. Among the first years, his reputation was well known throughout the school.

An academic student, vice president of the student council, and overall good natured person. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that every girl is somewhat smitten by him. However Kouta ‘special’ situation only prove to be a hindrance to him.

“Looks like I’m going to have to deal with this...again.” While lamenting and trying to find a solution out of the situation someone wrestled him into a headlock. “Morning sunshine!” Screamed the mysterious voice. Fighting to break free Kouta looked to see his best friend, Koizumi Izumi.

“Get off of me Izumi.” Izumi lightly played around with Kouta a bit more before finally letting him go. Izumi stood a couple of cm’s taller than Kouta. He gave off the appearance of delinquent with his short blond spiky hair and ear piercing. But people close to him knew him for being a relaxing and fun guy.

“What got you so work up in the morning?” The moment he finished his sentence his eyes noticed the presence the letter in his hand. “Ohhh, I see. So tell me killer, how many does it make this week?” A mischievous face emerged as he wrapped his hand around Kouta. Izumi was obvious joking with Kouta regarding his problem. Since coming to school he received letters upon letters from all different girls. And each time, he rejected all of them.

“Looking into other people's personal business is rude you know.” It was clear that Kouta was annoyed so Izumi backs off. “All right, all right. So are you going to reject her like the others?”

“Yes.” Kouta immediately replied without any hesitation in voice walks off. Izumi ran to catch up to him while they make their way to class. “I feel bad for all the girls that confess to you. Say how about swinging a couple my way?”

Kouta pay little attention to Izumi as he was more focused on how to turn down the confession. Having been confessed to several times before he needed an excuse that wasn’t too outlandish or too basic. Gossip spread fast so he needed them to be coherent as to not have any gap in his reasoning’s.

Finally reaching class the bell rung and school began.

Throughout the day Kouta racked his brain to find an excuse put down the confession. However most of the ones he saved were used already. Dealing with such issue tired him out and just as he fought to come up with an excuse he also fought to actually think of one as he uses class as way of escaping reality.

Time fly’s when a person doesn’t keep track. It was the end of the day and Kouta still needed an excuse. “Guess I have no choice but to wing it.” Finally deciding that time was up, he quickly pack his belongs.

“Good luck” Feeling a pat on his shoulder he looked up to see Izumi along with some of his friends heading out. On Izumi’s face was a big grin and Kouta wondered if Izumi is enjoying his troubles. However he didn’t have time to indulge in simple matters as he raced out of the room to the outside.

Hurrying while checking the time Kouta raced to the outside and towards the back of the main building. A common spot for confession in the school was behind the main building. A large open area where any noise wouldn't be heard from the main campus. Allowing for cries of rejection or happiness should come to it. A place that Kouta is all too familiar with.

Reaching the destination Kouta looked to see a small girl fidgety around. Kouta sudden appearance caused her to jump back in surprise. “Di...Did….Did I make you wait?” Completely exhausted Kouta managed to get the word out.

“Oh...ahh...No. I just got here.” The girl shyly answered back. Having a closer look Kouta realized that the girl was a first year like him. Finally catching his breath he straightened up and pulled out the letter.

The girl immediately eyed the letter while cupping her hand.

This part always manages to hurt Kouta every time. It always goes the same way. The girl trying to hide her sadness and running away. Kouta had no personal grudges against any of them. Kouta knows that it is a necessity that he rejects them

“I’m sorry but I have to respectfully decline.”

The girl handles it well and simply had a dejected face. “No...it’s alright. I’m sorry for calling you out here. Thank you...Goodbye. ” Having accepted Kouta’s answer she bowed and walked away. Kouta let out a heavy sigh when she was finally of sight.

“Doesn’t get any easier does it? If only I could have a normal relationship. I could die happy.”

“Ohh do continue dear~.”

Kouta stopped mid-sentence in response to the new voice. The air suddenly dropped to a chill that caused Kouta to shake. The air suddenly grew thinner, making it hard to breathe. Something was wrong and he looked around frantically until a figure appeared out of the shadow.

The figure soon reveal itself to be a girl. She wore a dress of light fabric elaborately intertwined with one another. A style similar to a Gothic dress with red, silver and black decorating the dress. The peerless beauty complimented the fine dress. Her pale skin and perfect features resemble that of a doll while her short cut dark hair resemble the night.

What was out of place with her was her shining silver necklace that hung from her neck with a skull jewel in the middle along with a silver tiara that looked to resemble bones and jewels. What took the icing on the cake was her eyes.

Complete darkness, as if she was looking directly into one’s soul. The only visible oddity is her pupils which took the forms of skull and crossbones.

A sense of foreboding completely washed over him as he felt one thing from her, dread. Finally getting his bearing back he tries to talk things out. “Wait. Hear me ou-- Ahhh!”

Kouta didn’t finish his sentence as the girl charged straight at him but that wasn’t the reason for his scream. Rather it was due to the fact that he was stabbed! Looking down, a decorated looking knife was plunged into his body. Instinctively clutching in response to the pain. “What do you think you were doing with that girl?” The voice came from the girl, a cold and distance voice.

“Damn it! Please liste--” Once again Kouta couldn’t continue as another sharp pain spread through his body from his lower neck area. Blood came rushing out, blocking his throat. Spitting out a large bile of blood Kouta try to free himself but the girl didn’t let up. “You didn’t answer my question. What were you doing with that girl?”

This time there was a slight change in her tone in her cold tone. Kouta desperately tried to speak up, only to be meet with more stabbing. Staring down at her, her eyes were devoid of life and sympathy. Only a raving madness.

Plucking out the knife she stabbed at him again and again. Each stab causing sharp and burning pain through his body. Stabbing Kouta over and over again, he was slowly losing sensation to his body.

“Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?

why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why?why? why? why? why?

WHY?! WHY?! WHY?! WHY?! WHY?! WHY?! WHY?! WHY?! WHY?!WHY?! WHY?!WHY?! WHY?!

WHY!?!? WHY!?!? WHY!?!? WHY!?!? WHY!?!? WHY!?!? WHY!?!? WHY!?!? WHY!?!? WHY!?!?

WHHHHY?! WHHHHY?! WHHHHY?! WHHHHY?! WHHHHY?! WHHHHY?! WHHHHY?! WHHHY!?

Going off like a maniac she screamed while stabbing at Kouta. Blood sprayed everywhere. Onto the wall, the grass, the dirt, and the girl’s dress all the while Kouta fought in-vain. Slowly dying.

Eventually he lose his strength and stumbled, leading to him fall down. Cuts littered his body with blood pouring out every end. After so many cuts it was obvious he was dead. However the girl didn’t stop there. “Did you think I wouldn’t know? Do you think I am that stupid?!”

Not stopping and vaulting herself over Kouta’s carcass, she grabbed the two weapon and stab at his body again. “This is what happen when you cheat on me with some random bitch! This is your fault!” screamed the girl as she mutilates the body. Within a minute she finally stopped and stared blankly down at the body.

Kouta’s entire shirt was ripped apart and destroyed. His chest which is full of cuts shows his inner organs hanging out or completely destroyed. Broken and splintered bones poke out of the body.

“This is all your fault.” Mumbling the words quietly in a prayer like fashion she continues mumbling over his body. “No...It is also her fault as well.”

Breaking away from the chant the girl slowly stood up. Blood dripped down from her blade and splash onto the ground. “It would be foolish of his girlfriend to blame him solely for it. That’s right. It is also that vixen fault for seducing him. Yes...she needs to be punished as well.”

In a trance like state she got off Kouta’s body and slowly shambled away with the intent of killing the naive girl.

“Huh?”

Stopping, the girl looked behind to see an arm grabbing her leg. Following the arm it was actually Kouta’s. In a split second Kouta jumped up and tackled the girl down to the ground! Even she was surprised by the action before regaining her senses.

Turning the weapons around she starts attacking again however she didn’t get very far as Kouta brought down his head and kiss her.

“Ummm.” Her voice trails off their lips intertwines. Trying to fight back, the girl’s attempt was squander when Kouta continues his push. Small slurping sound could be heard as the kiss intensify. A stream of saliva dripped down from her lips. All of it leading to a boiling point.

“Get off of me!” Finally recovering her strength, she pushes him off. This time there was a drastic change. Her previous cold and dead demeanor was erase without a trance. In its place is a warm and shy personality. Her face was beat red as she took side glances toward Kouta.

“Kouta!...You....pervert! Forcing yourself on your girlfriend like that! I knew you were a beast but to think you would attack an unsuspecting girl and force yourself onto her.”

The girl is clearly embarrassed but at the same time she has on a face of contempt and happiness. “If you had ask nicely. I would might have listen to your desires~” Wrapping her hands around her body, a playful look could be seen on her.

“I don’t want to hear that from you Kuro. Ouch! As violent as ever.” A response came from Kouta, of whom slowly stood up. What is more amazing is that he is alive! On closer inspection all of his wounds is completely gone.

Touching his chest, his body is completely fine. The only thing damage is his ripped up shirt. The girl that once tried to kill Kouta is now embarrass. The oddity of the situation is comedic as the shift in mood is very drastic.

“I don’t want to hear that from you. Besides I have unfinished business with that woman.” Her tone shifts again, back to the cold and dangerous tone.

“Damn it Kuro! This always happen. Every single damn time! I always reject them but you always go crazy and kill me first! Some girlfriend you are.”

And way it went devolved into a comedic banter.

“Huhh? I don’t want to hear that from you. As my boyfriend you are to be absolutely faithful to me! A relationship demands absolute devotion to one another. Any hesitation shall be meet with punishment.”

“That doesn’t mean you have to kill me every time! Show some restraint!”

“I know. But…”

“But what?”

“But repeating stabbing your body feels amazing.”

Kuro brought her arms together to cover her face that showed a slight blush. As if she reveals an embarrassing secret.

“…….What kind of girlfriend says that?! Damn it, how the hell do I even get away from all of this craziness?”

“Have you forgotten who I am my dear Kouta? I am death itself. Be it in life or death, your soul already belongs to me.”

Looking over, the child-like innocence could be seen on her face despite the frightening nature of those words. A wild chill ran down his spine as he gazed into her mad love all the while the memory of how they meet plays in his mind.

******

“Beautiful.” Those are the only words that came to Kouta’s mind when he gaze upon the mysterious figure. Like an angel she descended towards Kouta. Closing in Kouta was caught off guard when she suddenly kisses him.

The kiss was warm and they held for several seconds before pulling away. Kouta in a small daze looked to the girl who was smiling. “Now we can be together. Forever.”
