Wet Clothes and Embarrassing Close Calls

Wet Clothes and Embarrassing Close Calls

Hiroshi stood in the doorway, dripping wet from the rain. His uniform clung to him uncomfortably, and his glasses fogged up from the sudden temperature change. He turned to Miyu, clearly annoyed.

“I’m soaked because of you!” he said, wringing out his blazer. Then, with a smirk, he added, “Although… I did see quite the prize earlier.”

Miyu froze, her face turning beet red. “W-W-WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?! You called them a prize?! YOU’RE A PERVERT!” she shrieked, pointing an accusatory finger at him.

Hiroshi raised his hands defensively, laughing nervously. “I’m just joking, calm down!” But inwardly, he couldn’t help but remember the brief glimpse from earlier. They really were… okay, stop! Get it out of your head!

Shaking off the thought, he sighed. “Anyway, what do I do? I don’t have another pair of clothes since I slept in my uniform.”

Miyu, still flustered, avoided his gaze. “Y-yeah… in my bed, of all places…” she muttered.

“What?”

“NOTHING!” Miyu snapped, her cheeks burning. “I don’t know! My sister took the car, so…”

Hiroshi groaned. “Guess I have to wait for the rain to stop. Do you at least have a towel I can use?”

“Why should I give you one?” Miyu retorted, crossing her arms. But when she saw Hiroshi shivering, she huffed. “Ugh, fine! Take it!” She grabbed a towel and threw it straight at his face.

“Thanks,” Hiroshi said, pulling it off his head and starting to dry himself.

“Anyway,” Miyu continued, “I’m gonna get dressed now. Don’t you dare enter my room!” She hesitated, then glanced at him shyly. “A-also… w-we’re gonna…”

Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

Hiroshi looked up, confused. “Gonna what?”

“N-NOTHING!” Miyu squeaked, turning bright red as she ran to her room.

A few minutes later, Miyu stepped out of her room, fully dressed. Her hair was neatly styled, and her outfit was both casual and undeniably cute. Hiroshi, towel still in hand, froze when he saw her.

“O-oh my g-god…” he stammered, unable to stop himself.

Miyu frowned. “What? Why are you acting weird, nerd?”

Snapping out of it, Hiroshi quickly shook his head. “N-nothing! I was just… surprised, that’s all. Why are you so dressed up?”

“Because we’re going to the mall, obviously,” Miyu said, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “Don’t forget, you promised to buy me all the food I want today!”

The word mall sent Hiroshi into a brief daydream. He imagined himself walking alongside Miyu, the nerd and the cutie, laughing and smiling together. Without thinking, he blurted out, “I’m so lucky!”

Miyu’s face turned bright red. “S-shut up, nerd! I-it’s not a d-date or anything!” she stammered, trying to hide her flustered expression.

The rain finally stopped, and Hiroshi let out a relieved sigh. “Alright, I have to go back to my house to change first. You… coming with me?”

Miyu hesitated for a moment before nodding. “Y-yeah, sure.”

The two walked to Hiroshi’s house, where Miyu was immediately struck by how clean and organized everything was.

“Wow,” she said, looking around. “You really live here? It’s spotless. You’re like a housewife or something.”

Hiroshi rolled his eyes. “Just sit down while I change, alright?”

Miyu plopped into a chair, watching as Hiroshi disappeared into his room. A mischievous thought crept into her mind. I need revenge. He saw my… so now I’ll see what he’s hiding!

Quietly, she tiptoed to his door and slowly pushed it open.

“Gotcha, ner—!” she started, but her words trailed off. Hiroshi was already fully dressed, pulling on his glasses.

Both of them froze, staring at each other.

“That fast?!” Miyu blurted out, disappointed.

Hiroshi turned red, realizing what she was trying to do. “H-hey! What were you trying to do?! Who’s the pervert now?!”

Miyu’s face turned crimson as she stumbled over her words. “I-I WASN’T DOING ANYTHING! YOU’RE IMAGINING THINGS!”

“Oh, sure,” Hiroshi said sarcastically, folding his arms. “Next time, knock!”

“SHUT UP, NERD!” Miyu shouted, storming back to her seat, her heart racing.
