In Nothingness Absolution
Despair is the gravity of the mind,
The leaden weight upon Einstein’s sheet
It drags me down into the pit where the dragon sleeps
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
The hungry one who gnaws and bites and takes takes takes
Until just the shell remains.
Staring out at a world I once thought bright
For what was lighting it was me.
There is no light now; there are just stolen dreams.
Memories of what could have been
Within the box not even hope remains.
It should not be so but it gladdens me.
No goals, no plan, no expectations
In aimlessness I shall not fail.
Nought to try; it should hurt and yet
Oblivion is a tranquil water.
To float forever upon it a peace.
