Once Steven got to his dorm he ran into his roommate. He had yet to even talk with him because they didn't have a lot of time to do so. Steven thought that now was an as good time as any so he introduced himself quietly "Hi, I'm Steven. what's your name?"

It took some time for the other kid to build his courage to talk to Steven "Hi, I'm Alex."

Steven was trying to develop a conversation but didn't get anywhere with it so he just left the kid. He starts to meditate until he found Alex just sitting there watching him he knew he was kinda weird but let him do whatever. After 2 hours of meditation while a kid was staring at him he was finally done "WHAT'S THE DEAL MAN?" the kid just ran away blushing almost in tears. Just as Steven was thinking of going back into meditation he suddenly felt bad for what he had done to Alex and went to check upon him. He found him in their washroom crying he was confused he didn't know how to approach this guy he was just too odd. He walked into the washroom "Why were you watching me it was weird I don't even know what was so interesting you just had to sit and watch me for 2 hours" Steven was getting mad at this point making Alex cry even more. After Steven calmed himself down he tried approached him again "Sorry for getting mad I just want you to explain why you watched me for so long" Steven waited for a few minutes until Alex calmed down "I was just curious why you were sitting so long?" Steven looked at him like he was an idiot. " Dude, I was meditating how have you never heard of it did neither of your parents teach you how or why to meditate?"

Steven was so shocked." No, I am the first person in my entire family to have any form of talent and I heard a bit while I was at school my family never had any hope for any of me or my brothers to learn any magic." Alex said quietly with a sigh. Steven taught basic forms of meditation and told him their importance for gathering the mana from the air and putting it into your body to make it stronger and more reinforced. He advised that he should talk to his teacher about the importance of meditation and mana.

After a long night of teaching and rest, Steven got up early to meet his teacher in his class/lab area Samson only had one student right which was Steven. He told Steven about the stages " There are 10 stages but only knowledge of the first 4 are useful currently I am in the 4th stage but my talent is only green whereas your talent is far superior to mine at Semi-purple. The four you need to know about are Awakening, Absorption, Adaptation, Unity in that order. there are only 4 stages in Absorption but after that stage, it advances into 12 minor stages or realms as some people call them but currently you are at low success Absorption stage goes initial, low, then high success, then peak Absorption. Every other level you increase in Absorption is the access level to magic you have talent in first you have access to your main magic for you that's nature magic control of plants and certain animals. It is not the most powerful attack magic but it is good for controlling a battle and trapping your opponent in vines or roots. To begin you must learn to control your mana. follow me to the garden." Samson said then lead him into his personal garden that connects right outside of his room. it was a quite large 100-meter squared area off the side of his small cube-like square of greenery which was double the size of the garden. it looks like this building was built right off of the tree of life and was at one point apart of the tree.

While Samson was guiding Steven through his garden introducing the different types of flora " This is the hardiest plant I currently own its name is black boar weed it can grow almost anywhere and is toxic to certain types of bugs and a good plant for pesticides. Also, it is very easy to manipulate with mana why don't you give it a try." Samson asked to see the boy's potential for mana manipulation. Steven walked over and asked, "How do I manipulate the mana?" Samson though then answered, "Imagine what the mana inside you looks like then move it how you want it to flow than make it move into the plant then move the plant how you want it." Steven followed his instructions and moved the small flow of mana inside him it came out his finger a bright green light that flowed slowly out then into the black boar weed. The weed slowly started to grow up and grow leaves and then it started to grow up his foot then around his leg. It kept growing until it reached the top of Steven's head and then grew like a mushroom top. Samson smiled as he was just as good as he thought he would be maybe a little better. then the black boar weed started to change colour from black to gray from gray to light purple on the top part of the mushroom and the under part stayed at the gray it was. Then the bottom of the mushroom that connects to the rest of the plant severed and began to grow little arms and legs until finally, it looked like a little mushroom golem that could probably fit in the palm of his hand. Before the little golem started to die Samson put a little gem in the core of the golem and chanted a few spells that caused a bit of sweat on his brow. Then the little golem rose and walked over from Samson's palm to Stevens and looked at Steven. Samson looked at the cute little golem " You should give it a name." Steven took a second to think "Sven, That is a name that fits this guy."

After a while of meditation with Sven, Steven went back to his empty dorm room. He was hoping to not run into his roommate till Alex could understand magi and their rules. He couldn't stand being watched by that odd kid any longer. Steven set up a mat and took out his little golem Sven and began to control the mana inside of it. He could not get a grasp on most of the mana because it was currently outside of his talent until he reached 4th level absorption. So he just fiddled with the natural magic inside of the golem he was trying to get Sven to grow in size by giving him more mana but Steven could only make him 2-3cm bigger. so now Sven was 13-14cm in height and was only 7-8cm in width, Sven was the size of a large thumb with just little protrusions or lumps for limbs. Sven had tiny little nubs that couldn't hold anything and he could only wabble to move around. After a couple of hours of mana manipulation and meditation, Steven decided to go to the market for some seeds to make a little garden that he could manipulate with his mana. After Steven went to the market he went to the library to get gather knowledge of ways to control nature mana and how to control golems and process them into stronger higher ranking golems. 50-75cm is low grade common

76cm-1m is common

1-1.5m is high grade common

2m and above rare grade

beyond that, there are giant golems that are above 50m but they are not seen except for people above Unity which is only about 100 people in the entire nation of Darinis at that level of cultivation only headmaster or vice headmasters of academies reach this level unless your talent is semi-gold rank at least. Most of the books in the library are kept for only those above a certain level of cultivation. For those of 2nd level of Absorption is very little compared to those with higher access. Steven looks through some books on herbology, botany, and mycology to find useful plants and mushrooms for his garden and a better mushroom to use for Sven. He finds one mushroom called iron top fungi and its qualities it is a fungus that lives on iron ore and absorbs the iron until it sends a massive plum of spores then dies. Magi have found that they can make it not release its dying plum of spores and use it for strong and hardy golems that last years of wear and are resistant to flames and burning. Steven took note of this mushroom and a few others including the quick shroom and shadow shroom for their abilities for potions of stealth. Steven buys some iron ore and pots for his mushroom collection back in his dorm room. After all this shopping with the money, his parents gave him which was 500 of the crystals which is a hefty amount of crystals. Steven made way to the food court which was open all day and was completely free to all acolytes. The line to get food was never long but it was awkward with a bag and backpack full of ore, pots, and soil for his mushrooms. He took his time and eventually got his food and put down his bags on the chairs next to him only a moment later to have Alex wander over "Can I sit here?" asked with a large grin. Steven hesitantly agreed"Ya sure." with a deep sigh Steven put on the most disinterested face he had ever used to make sure Alex got that he didn't want Alex to ask about the bags. "why all the bags?" Alex asked. After what could have been the longest sigh know to man did Steven answer "there for carrying my pots and soil to our room." then after not even a millisecond did another question get thrown in his face "Why do you need all these pots?" Steven didn't answer but ate as fast as he could with a graceful manner then grabbed his bags and ran. He ran as fast as a person can with a backpack and bags weighing close to 80lbs it was more of a swift walk but it was really making Steven sweat. After arriving at his room he set up a makeshift garden on a shelf and then began putting the different mushrooms in their designated soils and left the iron ore on the floor next to the foot of his bed and took the time to manipulate each one to make them take to the soil faster. It was difficult to manipulate the iron top mushroom because it was a higher class herb than the rest. After hours of attempts to get the iron top shroom to take he left it and bathed before he went to bed.

Later that night when both Steven and Alex were sleeping Sven got up and stumbled toward the iron cap shroom on the iron ore and just happened to stay just next to the iron top shroom on the ore. Sven stayed next to the shroom all night. Sven went towards it because he felt a pull from the energy inside the iron cap shroom. golems only react on their own if there is a large enough pull that gives them the energy they need to move to that location. Golems don't have intelligence but their core can sense higher waves of mana. Also, there have been very little studies of iron cap shrooms since nobody had an interest in mushroom unless their qualities are useful for potions which was proven unreliable and useless. The shroom had been secretly absorbing Stevens energy which attracted Sven. As he began to merge with both the shroom and the ore. There were obvious changes to his structure which was strengthened and hardened. Sven became the size of 30cm which is over double the size he was and had layers of iron on his cap and chest which was not often a characteristic of golems with the iron cap shroom it was usually just the cap.

After the sun rose for the next morning Steven got up to see Sven. He was shocked to see that he had grown so much in one night without any training or refining. But was a little sad to see his iron cap shroom gone. After a closer look, he saw that it had merged with Sven and now Sven was part Dark boar weed and iron cap shroom which makes him quite a solid golem he also has iron on his chest which was different than what he had just read in books yesterday. Sven also had proper arms now about 13cm long and 8cm thick but still had some stubby legs that were only 8-7cm long and quite thick and not even in length by about 1cm. Sven had more of a walk than he used to but was more of a limping now. He was also top-heavy from his iron cap that had a small brim but was pretty tall. Steven tried to pick up the little golem only to find that it weighed close to 30-35lbs and was not the light little golem he had before. He also felt a power burst through the golem to Steven returning triple the power it took from him by taking the surrounding power from the life tree to increase the power of the golem while merging. Steven put his golem in his backpack and went to his class to Samson to ask if he knew why this had happened. "Samson look at my golem." Steven said as he took out his large golem with an iron top " good job Steven I didn't think you could do this overnight" He responded Steven was happy about the praise but was still curious about how it happened. " I didn't do this I don't think?" Steven said quite confused "No problem but it was probably just you refining it overnight by accident you happened to incorporate an iron cap shroom it's really no big deal it gives your golem a more solid foundation to develop its strength." Samsom says to reassure his student "I was worried it might become unstable or something because it shocked me the moment I touched it."Steven said with a sigh. "Well might as well teach you the actual ways to refine golems so things like this don't happen in the future what do you say, Steven?"
