During the Great War, countless adventurers, soldiers, mercenaries and even commoners lost their lives fighting against hordes and hordes of mindless, bloodthirsty monsters.
For the first time in history, humans, demons, elfs, beastmen, dragons and fairies came together to fight off against the monstrous menace.
Unfortunately, the monsters were not so easily subdued. They grew stronger, smarter and more vicious as the years passed. As the tides were once again beginning to turn on the sentient races, the various kings agreed upon an edict that stated that they would unite to call upon heroes from another world to help them.
After months of preparations and yet more grevious losses, the summoning was ready. Beautiful princesses prayed, gallant knights stood guard and kings observed from their thrones as the greatest magicians activated the formation.
Blinding flashes of lights and a holy radiance seeped out from the formation, enough to make even the unfaithful fall to their knees and pray to the gods.
This continued for about 10 seconds, then, the lights subdued and disappeared, revealing the figures of 6 teenagers in weird clothing. They looked panicked and it would be hard to associate them with heroes.
However, the kings had already expected this. The knowledge regarding heroes was a secret worth fighting with tooth and nails for, and each king had his own share of the knowledge.
Before, those shares alone were worth nothing. However, once that knowledge came together, it would undoubtably lead to greatness.
Thus, after the kings calmed the heroes down and begged them for their help, the heroes finally accepted, some more relunctantly then others. They asked for ways to go back, to which the kings could only smile helplessly to. They dared not lie to those whom would undoubtably become their saviors.

After a night spent resting and digesting the information, the heroes were called to test their classes and powers.
----------------------------------------
I watched as the other 'heroes' went and pressed their hands against a strange crystal ball which somehow could determine what class each one of us had. Pure bullshit if you ask me...
I was simply coming back home after buying grocieries at the store when I blacked out and then woke up in that strange room filled with medieval cosplays, which were not actually cosplays.
Skipping all the cliche stuff, they said 'help us plz', we were like 'sure thing'. Or at least the japanese idiot was, I just wanna go home, which they said is impossible.
They even tried to wed us to some random princesses, which I was not okay with. No way I'm marrying a princess out of all people.
Shaking my head to rid myself off these useless and self-deprieving thoughts, I walked up to the crystal ball and put my hand on it whilst ignoring the expectant gazes of all the people present.
The ball first shone with a white light, then it began to turn dark at the edges and a great many runes began to appear at the center, each a different color from the other. I watched curiously as the thingie did it's thing.
Then, a word appeared on the crystal ball, reading 'Magus'. I looked around and noticed that the people all had more or less the same look on their face, which could roughtly be translated to a big, fat, juicy ?
Then, the world itself began to shake, the earth screamed and the skies split. Well, not actually, but that's the feeling the events that happend next felt like.
A giant hand suddently came down from the skies, destroying the castle's roof and anything that stood in it's wake and went straight for me, who was just kinda dumbly staring at the thing with a blank expression on my face.
Last time I checked, hands don't have ears, so still to this day I wondered why people screamed 'Let him go!' As I was dragged to hell by the hand. Well, if hell is in the sky that is, since I doubted I was going to heaven.
Yeah, my life is shit.
