The answer I got was something that kept me in awe. If what he/she said is true, then there are ninety thousand humans in this 'World'. Not even talking about the worlds before mine which had thousands on its side.
Shaking my head, I thanked him for the answer and turned my attention back to my teams waiting for my answer, which I responded to with thanks before sending them away so they could get some rest.
After sending them away, I also moved inside my hut and slept peacefully.
---
"Alert! Alert! Intruders detected. Alert! Alert! Intruders detected." The sound echoed inside the dimly lit forest. After that sound, there was a thud coming from a shabby-looking hut. A few seconds later, a girl around the age of twenty rushed outside wearing a torn shirt which was only covering her chest and short on her legs. She was blonde and she had green eyes like emerald. She was perfectly beautiful, yet she had a terrified expression.
The cause of that expression was the Ravagers rushing towards her. She was also a player of this game before coming here but she's sure that Ravagers don't attack until the first week has passed. But what was this now?
Just as one of the ravagers was about to grab her, a laser beam blasted the ravager's head like a watermelon. Witnessing such a scene, her legs gave up causing her to fall.
Not afraid of the mechas attacking them, ravagers kept rushing towards her. There were fierce battles going on in every part of the map. Most people had no chance to stand against ravagers while some were smart enough to gather forces in case of an attack.
Me, on the other hand, was sleeping peacefully as I didn't know what was happening in the world. But that peaceful sleep was cut short as I heard a horn and war cry. I jumped up from my bed as I knew what that sound was. It was the horn sound of ravagers and their war cry.
Rushing outside, I saw everyone rushing from their houses, getting ready for an incoming attack. Even the dwarfs who were just settled down had hammers in their hands waiting to defend their home.
"Everyone! Get ready for battle!" I screamed out as they lined up at the entrance to our base. They didn't have any weapons in their hands but their abilities because of their race were enough against them.
The soldiers and workers with high DEF attribute lined up in front while those with the ability to utilize magic lined up behind. Just behind those with magical abilities were the fighter class superhumans, awaiting to perform a counter-attack. They had perfect strategy and harmony even without me commanding them. Not wanting to disturb that harmony, I didn't order anything and started watching them.
When they appeared at the entrance, those with magic ability attacked them with various skills. There were fireballs, waterballs, magical laser beams, and spikes using earth magic. I thought that by using ranged attacks I could take down the ravagers but I was wrong. Even if they took a hit, they weren't down and kept pushing forward.
After a few seconds, the horses of ravagers and my frontline collided. Using their strength, my soldiers at the forefront quickly grabbed the horses and tackled them down before fighters rushed forward to take down those on foot.
This battle here would show me how strong I am and how much strength I need more.
After my fighters rushed forward, they quickly started fighting off the ravagers with the support of magic users.
They had great numbers from what I could see, but my soldiers were able to overpower those numbers thanks to their strength.
While I was thinking of a quick victory, I heard another horn from down there where they attacked. The next moment, I saw thousands of torches lit on the hill next to my mountain's entrance. If those lights belonged to one unit of ravager, then thousands of them meant tens of thousands of ravagers waiting at my door.
After soldiers at the front heard the horn, all of them retreated towards the hill. Which was good for me to quickly get more soldiers. Clicking on the soldier production menu, I quickly selected the fighter class and started production of hundreds in each barracks. It will take about fifteen minutes so I'll need to hold them off for that much time.
"My brave soldiers, reinforcement is on its way! We only need to hold out for fifteen more minutes! Show them what we're made of! Show them our strength!" I declared, raising my fist towards the sky.
"This is our home they seek to destroy! We won't give them an inch! Let out your war cry, soldiers! Make them fear our resolve!" I said as my voice raised a few more decibels.
"AAAHHHHH!" In unison, all of my soldiers including dwarfs let out a war cry enough to be heard from every part of the mountain. Some birds were scared and flew away, and wolves let out howling.
Seeing them like that made my heart skip a beat. Even though I had played strategy games for most of my time, I never had the chance to interact with them just like this. It was my dream to become a ruler, it was my dream to lead people to a better life.
Right now, my soldiers' war cry and their stomping sound boiled my blood. The yearning to be someone with power, the yearning to become someone to lead, I could experience all of it thanks to being here.

While I was enjoying the scenery, I heard another horn and saw the lights moving towards us.
"They're coming! Brace yourselves! Get ready to topple them! Get ready to squash their skulls! Let them tremble in fear!" I screamed out maniacally. I had lost myself to the excitement of the situation.
"FOR YOURSELVES, FOR YOUR HOME!"
"HURAAA!!" Everyone screamed out shaking the mountain. This time, ravagers rushing towards us replied with their own war cry as they kept advancing without fear.
A minute later, the expected collision happened. Just like before, my forefront soldiers tackled down the cavalry units while my fighters rushed out for a counter-attack with the support of ranged soldiers. I could only be thankful that they don't have any archers because, without armor, it could be really troublesome for my soldiers without high DEF stat.
After five minutes passed, I already had ten soldiers who were stabbed to death. I was gritting my teeth as I watched the scene unfolding before me. They were people with their own lives rather than being NPCs in a game. They had their lovers and friends.
Another five minutes passed as my soldiers held their ground even though their friends fell one by one. The road leading to my mountain now had a huge blood pool and dead bodies lying on the ground. Some of them were my soldiers but most of them were the savagers trying to get inside. My soldiers were able to hold this much thanks to the narrow road and terrain advantage, but it was hard for that to stay like it was.
Another four minutes passed as more and more soldiers dropped dead on the ground. There were a total of fifty soldiers who were holding the frontline. Behind them were fifty ranged soldiers who were drained as they kept casting magic with the little amount of MP they had. In just fifteen minutes I lost two hundred soldiers but ravagers kept coming without stopping.
While I was feeling sad about every soldier I had lost today, there was a bright light coming from behind me. Then I understood that it was time for me to counterattack. It was time for us to advance.

[Guest99831, would you like your name to be on the ranking list?]
After looking at my rewards which were multiplied by the system, it eased the pain I was feeling, but the anger was still there. Deciding to deter any force that will try to attack me in the future, I pressed the button to announce my name.
