He blinked and materialized within Morpheus’ dreamscape.  Arriving he analysed the throne room, the setting of the Gods Onlines Character creation, it was a tad dramatic. A vivid bright white marble and some super shiny gold. The unnaturalness of the colours was the only tell that this was a dreamscape not the true world. It was going to be one hell of a game. Lots of mortals will flock to unknowingly participate in the competition.

Looking to a throne nearly opposite the one he sat on he stared into the eyes of a primordial. She wasn’t truly a ‘god’ in the term child of the titans. Love is ancient, older than Death. Love was born when grandmother first gazed upon her creations. Although, it never truly developed though until it was granted to mortals. It was interesting that she chose to act as she did. Lovably annoying as always.

“You know why I’m here”, he stated.

“It was an accident, promise. I got carried away flaunting my divinity. It’s been a while since we could.”

“You almost enthralled him”, he stated again.

Her eyes quivered. “Sorry…”, she said softly.

“Just be glad that he never realized. This is your only warning. The other deities won’t be pleased if you ruin this game.”

She nodded. “It won’t happen again.”

There was a moment of silence as he gazed upon her. The power in his eyes ensured that she realized his seriousness. After a moment, more he stood he smiling graciously. “Anyway it’s great to see you.” (he made a point of looking her up and down.) He moved in for a hug.

Aphrodite giggled as they embraced, stepping away. “I never truly realized how distant we had become. I haven’t seen you in almost 50 years. Some gods even longer.”

Zeus nodded, “I know exactly how you feel. I personally haven’t seen Hermes since he sailed from Britain in the 17th Century. (Of course with a little effort he could locate his divine signature and materialize next to him) This game will probably change all that. We will talk and make compromises as we all compete. Hopefully nobody takes it seriously when I tear down their temples. What have you been doing to keep yourself busy?”

“Oh it’s been great; the whole movie Hollywood situation is awesome. I started a chain of businesses which catered to celebrities and models that want to look good.”

That sounded like her. He nodded, “Beautifying?”

Aphrodite giggled, “of course.”

He stepped back, it was time to go. Another player was coming to this instance. Sitting back down on his throne. He dematerialized, leaving a strong smell of ozone in the air. A message. One he hoped she would heed.

A few seconds after he was gone. “Well that was a whoopsy”, she breathed a heavy sigh of relief.
