Chapter 4
Michael Estrisden POV
“So what can you tell us about Gods Online?”.
The (extremely pretty) developer replied, “We had a talk a bit earlier on what we wanted released to the public. It’s quite hard to find the right balance. We want to entice players but at the same time we don’t want to ruin the learning experience.” She waited a moment. (probably just to annoy the viewer)
She continued, “What we decided is that we are willing to give a brief overview on character creation and the available map, which is on the website.”
The interviewer, “Well I’m eager to know more.”
She smiled, “On release there is only going to be the Human race available to the players… but there are 4 cultural locations to choose from. We have the Vikingesque Barbarians in the North, there are the Imperials, those from the Kingdoms and then there are the Sand people, Desert dwellers in the South. Each choice has different attainable skills and abilities. With each having advantages and disadvantages.”
Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author's consent. Report any sightings.
(The interviewer) “Although I’m intrigued with the setting you’ve suggested won’t players be annoyed at having limited choices early on?”
She smirked, “Our intention is to ensure that players have something to search for. A reason to explore the world. It also guarantees that the world grows with the player base. There will be an estimated 500,000 players in game upon launch. That may sound like a lot but the world is massive. This way the players stay connected but when the player base grows people will start to look outwards and find new challenges.”
“Anything else you can tell us about Character Creation?”.
She replied, “The player will look like the best version of themselves.”
The interviewer (sounds confused), “What do you mean”
She stood up, “And that’s all we have time for today.” She flashes a grin and the video ends.

Man she could have at least answered the question… Remembering his phone on charge
Michael went back to his bedroom and flicked on the screen. From Annabeth Estrisden:
“Come see me before dinner tomorrow! :D” I wonder what she wants.
Replied, “K Cya tomorrow”
There was a buzz from the intercom, “Mr Estrisden, there is a delivery for you from Red Dragon do you want me to send it up?”
Seems like its lunch time… or is it dinner. Whatever I’m hungry.
