Hearts flame 1.1 rewrite

Hearts flame 1.1 rewrite

I sat in the parking lot of the school shivering in the cold as the November chill hit me like a punch to the face. I always hated the cold, just one of the many things that's being extra sensitive made unbearable.

The anime club, which I'd been a part of for four years now. Had just gotten out since we had decided to have a longer day as it was both a Friday and we were watching the final episode of "your lie in april."

It had been sad and one of the rare moments I'd actually cried during a show. It was rare that things gave me strong emotions. I wished for the third time that night that jullia wasn't sick. Unfortunately she had something important to do with her family.

So I scrolled through the news, a ritual I always did when waiting for my sister to pick me up. My mother had died when I was born and my sister took care of me. But she was a good sister, the best in my opinion. She took care of me. Made sure I took my meds. All that good stuff.

Scrolling through I found a few articles on sphere fighting bully in downtown. Bully was a member of mad caps. One of the four major gangs that controlled crime in the city. Though they had branches in every major city.

"Heeey robot girl!" I felt a chill run down my spine. It couldn't be. She didn't have practice today! Why was she here. I had to get away, but I didn't want to leave my spot. It was my spot! So I sat thier freezing up as I dared not look behind in case that made what was about to happen worse.

"Hey you really shouldn't ignore me ya know. That's not nice. But I guess a retard like you wouldn't know that huh?" She kicked me off the seat and I let out a pained grunt.

"Oh I'm sorry. I meant Autistic! little! freak!" She punctuated each word with a painful kick to my back. I tried to get up but felt that strong grip of her boyfriend. I looked around desperately hoping someone would stop this.

No one was around, no one was going to help me.

"Come on don't be so cold Vannessa! Don't you want friends! Oh I know why don't we go somewhere a bit more private. Don't want anyone ruining our fun do we?" She said in a light mocking tone as her boyfriend, Clarence, started pulling me towards the opposite end of the school even as I clawed and tried to pull me way out.

They didn't even have to worry about any security cams since they had all been knocked out by a villain a week ago. Which was why this was so much worse then normal. I hated it so much. Every day was a struggle even without Amy's bullying. I just wished she could feel what I feel. That she understood what it felt like to be me.

Then it clicked. An image filled my head. A name. A true name. But I forgot it as soon as I heard it. It felt like a million feelings, interpretations, all buzzing in my mind. Until a single one was chosen. A wish granted.

I stared wide eyed as flames burst from my body burning Clarence and Amy let out a loud shrill scream. But their was something wrong about the scream. In a way that was noticable even to me. It was the scream of a scared animal not a person. I looked at her expecting some wild monster but all I saw was a pale faced girl. While Clarence screeched fire burning his clothes. It was only burning his jack and would have been easy to pull it off.

But he didn't. He was too panicked to even think. Like he'd been shot instead of his shirt set on fire. He clawed with such desperation that he tore the shirt apart and clawed into his own skin. Each time he looked at the flame or it licked his skin he became even more frantic. As if each look doubled his fear and anxiety.

I took the opportunity to run while I could. Too confused to understand what was going on before another burst of flame rocketed from my body. A green flame and as a car passed by it immediately started going out of control. Slamming right into a light post. Thankfully it looked like the driver was okay.

I ran into the school as each new feeling caused a burst of flame to launch itself out of my body like I had become some hell portal. I couldn't take it. I couldn't take it. I couldn't take it! So I knelt inside the front office as multicolored flames begun to burn it around. I started to rock back and fourth. As tapped my finger in a simple rythem on my thigh.

Tap. Tap tap. Tap. Slowly I felt myself calm, the familiar motion helping but not quite getting rid of the slowly rising panic. Fire burned around me but I couldn't acknowledge. My whole world was that tap of my fingers and the forward motion of my body rocking back and fourth.

"Hey, You know you shouldn't burn down buildings. I doubt your insurance covers this place." A man said but I didn't look up. It sounded familiar but I wasn't in much of a state to respond. So I just tapped by thighs and rocked back and fourth.

"Ah, hell... Well this is more complicated then I thought. I don't think this is a villain attack" the man said as he looked on my rocking form. I couldn't tell what he looked like, but it didn't matter. All that mattered was the motion.

"HQ this is sphere we got a newbie. Pretty sure she's a savant. I'm going to try to bring her in can you get an expert for me when I arrive?' after a minute he gave a quick thank you before I felt a strange sensation. Like the crackling of static electricity on my skin.

This time I looked up noticing the translucent sphere I was now floating in. Then I went back to rocking and tapping my thigh.

"Let's get you back to base. Everythings gonna umm hopefully be A ok... Hopefully."
