With pale blue eyes shining through, she crossed eyes with a guy who also has rugged clothing same as her. Charcoal like sharp eyes could engulf you at a sea of shadows. Black hair that has a tint of auburn because of all the mud sticking to It...
"Who... are... you?"
The first thing the young girl uttered the moment she saw that boy
+++++
"A girl, huh?"
Knowing that there's someone here besides him is reassuring indeed but that line of thought has left him for a while now. He's not longing for companionship anymore, he wants freedom!
Uttering those words, the once pale and dead blue eyes of her had gained some light and at least gained a little bit of hue... Allaine, who cannot find the words to reply to her just returned the stare she's giving...
After a while, he finally decided to sit at the corner opposite of the place where the girl is sitting as to not disturb her anything like that...
"Why am I even minding manners when I'm in a place like this?"
He unconsciously uttered the crude words while letting his face relax at his hand. He just stared at the girl, and she did the same to him. A long, long, long staring contest has begun between the two of them...
A girl who initially has a pair of pale dead eyes stayed quiet because her ability to do so is limited while a guy stayed quiet because he can't find the words to say at the girl resulting in this seemingly endless staring contest...

After approximately 27 minutes of looking at each other's pupils and faces, Allaine finally found the words he's looking for all this time and:
"So... what brought you here?"
Asking that seemingly sensitive question, others might see him as someone who has no sense of tack but the sense of morals has long gone ever since he arrived at this place. He needs information from her! That truth doesn't go away even for a second!
"Why... am... I here?"
Repeating the same question with different words, she looked down, facing the soil, and answered him with a mild, seemingly hoarse voice...
"I... don't remember..."
"What?"
"I... don't remember... anything... before I came here..."

Amnesia. A cliched plot point for dramas where the main character gets amnesia and slowly regains what he is... But! This girl is not a main character of a drama, comics, animated shows! She's a real person who exists in this world! This is reality! It Is! IT IS REALITY!!!
"Amnesia? You don't know anything?"
This is the worst situation! Not having any memories of the past is a crucial motivation for wanting to live! Without knowing anyone who is waiting for you, the motivation to come back to that place will vanish!
The only reason Allaine's state is what he is now is that he remembered his family! Without those memories, he might as well be dead! The saying "Memories form people" is indeed a fact!
But the same event can't be applied to this girl! Arriving in a state of confusion without knowing herself or anyone around her, without anyone by her side to tell her what's going on... She arrived at a state of breakdown!!!
Seeing that poor situation of hers, he can't help but pity It... He removed his eyes from the girl devoid of emotions, avoiding her eyes as he wipes his tears...
"You don't remember anything, right? Do you know your name?"
"No, I don't..."
"Then, you just sit here without doing anything?"
She just mildly nodded her head at those questions of his but for some reason, Allaine saw It! The shadows of unseen hands loom inside the girl's heart... destroying her resolve to fight nor live... simply just sitting there... waiting for her doom...
The shadows evolved so great within herself that simply encouraging her would be insufficient... At this point, you might as well say she's already dead and empty inside... The pale and dead blue eyes of her already hint that she's already lost inside the shadows... not even bothering to find the way out... simply... simply... just waiting to be erased...
Allaine is once again, at lost at what to say. He doesn't know he should help her, or should he just leave her be. Leaving her may be cruel but taking her would hinder his escape taking into the account that she doesn't even have any resolve to think about living for the other day.
He's trapped! At a sand storm full of decisions that would endanger his heart no matter what he chooses! Just staring at the ground, biting his dirty nails... After some thinking... He gets It... the right way to move.
"Oi, do you want to live?"
