We are planning to arrive in solitude in 4 days time but things happened, some bandits attacked us but we turned the table on them with the drones being piloted by the 3 of us the bandits looked like they were fighting iron men all of their attacked were rendered useless with the metallic frame of the drones.

After the bandits have been delt with we scoured their things and their hideout we were planing to resell the stuff they had to kick start our life in solitude it took us 7 days to arrive but when we did the city is magnificent .

It had thick walls and guard towers every 10 meters you can really feel secure in a city such as this.

The information we got is that solitude is a neutral kingdom and for that they are not as rich as the other kingdoms who joined forces to make war with the elves.

Solitude is the kingdom's name and the capitals as well it is one of the smallest kingdoms out there , the reason that solitude is progressing despite having a small land is that this kingdom has a small refractor. Small but a refractor none the less.

When we arrived at the gates to request entry the guards were surprised to our vehicle without being pulled by horses the A.P.C. that we are riding is standing out too much

After a long and heated discussion we managed to convince them that it is being powered by a refractor shard.

Refractors are made by the ancients of which cannot be reproduced by the current knowledge. refractors are powerful conduits of energy that having one can make you a king and establish a kingdom of your own, while refractor shards are pieces of a shattered refractor in which is low on energy output.

Currently refractors are very rare and fought for in wars while refractor shards are extremely expensive, the Guards let us through the gates thinking that we are some kind of rich merchants.

The closest thing that the current world has to a refractor shard is a man a crystal which they either mine or find in the monsters they slay. Though these crystals are far inferior to the refractors they are easily obtained.

As we enter the city gates lively crowed greeted us all too busy with their own business to even bother to look at our vehicle.

Before we attract unwanted attention we parked our A.P.C. in the same place where carriages would be kept and asked for a small house that we can buy

Surprisingly there are a number of houses being sold the reason is poverty it seems that the war with the other races and kingdoms are embroiled with is taking its toll on the commoners now that you look closely the city is riddled with beggars and poor people trying to scrape for a living.

At the center of the city we found a reasonable house worth 500,000 zennies it has a second floor and a basement which suited our purposes. each of us have 2 dedicated drones as bodyguards and we have planned 5 drones to be programmed to hammer away at things in the black smith while 6 drones are going to be on standby and ready for anything that might happen.

Hilda: this place looks like a good place to start its at the heart of the city no less!

Menchie: great I'll start at making the blacksmith so that we can have a stable income we only have 10,000 zennies left enough for 8 days.

With that menchie ran towards the house and became busy constructing the blacksmith.

Jason: don't worry I will hunt some brigands around here and loot their hideouts. With the war going on these criminals are emboldened to move knowing that there are less soldiers patrolling the area, besides I'm going back in the mammoth tank and recover the spider drones and some of our equipments. But first we'll rest we had a stressful days ahead of us.

We only had few things we brought with us and its mostly weapons d ammunition, the reason this house is expensive is because its already furnished living in a city is expensive and we would have to hunt out I side if we wanted to cut out expenses

I have faith in menchie and her blacksmith idea this world is in war weapons ayy always in demand.

Menchie ran out full of glee in her face waving a sword the drones already made.

Menchie: I DUB THEE IRON FORGE!!!

with that she posted a board depicting this place as a blacksmith and went back inside the house

I decided to stroll the city and buy dinner for us, there are a lot of merchants of every kind and then I smelled a familiar smell...... Roasted beef

After a hard battle we only had water and MRE for food basically its a healthy soldiers food that taste like shit and as hard as a cardboard.. Seeing a roasted beef here madehmu stomach growl like a lion who found its prey with my mouth watering non stop I ran over the vendor and bought dinner it coated 2,000 zennies for the three of us .

That evening we ate the most delicious roasted beef that tears flowed our eyes after comparing our survival food to real food.

After dinner we took a goodnight sleep that we never had in a long time. Tommorow would be a busy day for our start in this new place.
