Ch-2 Epic profession card

Ch-2 Epic profession card

'What happened...Is it the helmet?'

I looked at the helmet then back at my I.V as a plan slowly started to form in my mind.

'Money, that's the only reason Dad had to stop from using resources on me, although the Blake family is considered one of the 4 great families it is also the weakest, the fight for resources is everpresent and Dad couldn't justify using gene solutions on me if I never awakened an Innate ability...'

I swiped and then switched to the special auction tab that was added because of integration, In the last 5 minutes there were already 2 uncommon class cards up for grabs and the bids on them continued to increase as everyone tried to secure a better starting line.

...

[Initiate Alchemist of Dionysus] [Class Type- Alchemist ] [Main weapon- None] [Class Restriction-none] [Class Quality- Uncommon] [Bonus stats +1 to WIS and INT every level.]

[Current Bid- 45 mil credits - Richard Slater]

...

[Initiate Hunter of Artemis] [Class type- warrior] [Main weapon- Dagger] [Class Restriction-Female] [Class Quality- Uncommon] [Bonus stats +1 to STR and SPD every level.]

[Current Bid- 49 mil credits - Rick Riley]

...

'Looks like the competition has already started'

My eyes swept across the top 10 bids as a war was going on between the 4 great families, this was just the regional channel, so all the class cards here will probably be used to form a team centering around Richard, Rick, and Rem. Noticing the absence of Blake family it was obvious that this year Dad has decided to skip in order to save resources for little Rebecca.

I swiped and switched to the global channel and selected the [Apprentice Blacksmith of Hephaestus] card.

[Please confirm to place the card on auction]

I selected yes and a new entry was added on the global channel...

[Apprentice Blacksmith of Hephaestus] [Class Type- Blacksmith] [Main weapon- None] [Class Restriction-none] [Class Quality- Rare] [Bonus stats +3 to STR and END every level.]

[Current Bid- ---]

...

Time left until Integration starts, 1 hour, 52 minutes, 31 Seconds... No Profession card detected... you have 20 Character creation cards left...

Drawing Cards... Please select one to choose your profession...

Again the information behind the cards was revealed this time 99 of the cards were readable with 80 white commons, 16 green uncommon, and 3 rare blue cards.

The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

'this time it's worse than before, but why can I see this and why is that card not revealed? Is that something to do with my Innate ability? But I already had a gene mapping test and there was nothing strange discovered? So even if it is a new ability it should have shown up on the test...'

I stared at the one unrevealed card in front of me.

'Is this card not revealed because my Innate ability level isn't high enough to see through it? That means this should be higher than a rare card right?'

I hesitated for a bit before looking at the 19 blank character cards before selecting the unrevealed card.

'Worst comes to wor...'

My thoughts froze as a Purple card revealed itself.

[Blessed by Gaia] [Class Type- Bard] [Main weapon- Staff] [Class Restriction-none] [Class Quality- Epic] [Bonus stats +10 to INT and AGI every level, +100% reputation increase.]

[Congratulations! You drew an Epic Profession, Blessed by Gaia]

[Would you like to bind Blessed by Gaia to your I.V.]

*Blink* *Blink*

I stared at the screen before disconnecting the helmet. I closed my eyes and calmed down, suppressing my excitement I took some deep breaths before staring at the profession once again.

In the Multiverse, there are 7 profession levels- Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Ancient, and Mythic. Every year when the integration happens billions of cards are drawn and if someone was lucky then maybe 1-2 legendary professions would come out, except for those lucky ones, Rare classes are the standards of Elites, while Epic classes are quickly collected by the royal family. Only 7 Legendary classes have ever been auctioned, each going for billions of credits, 3 of those still rest in the hands of the Royal family waiting for the next prince and princess to claim them.

I sighed as various thoughts kept appearing in my head, It was a pity that I was off the S-grade gene solution for a whole year and my fitness has fallen behind. If I had gained such fortune before I won't be in this predicament.

'No time to waste, if this is the result of my Innate ability then I need to upgrade it as soon as possible.'

I checked the auctions tab and looked at the rare class,

[Current Bid- 1 Billion- Prince Adler]

'Tch should have known the royals would be interested in a lifestyle class profession, The bid price has already stagnated for the past 5 minutes...'

The auction was conducted by 'Note', it was a special auction, and because the chance to create a new character was only available for 12 hours a different pattern was used. Each item can be locked down by multiple people using their I.V's, everyone currently locking down the item should have at least the same amount as the current bid placed in their account, and that amount will be frozen. If there is only a single person locking an item for 5 minutes straight then that amount would be deducted and you'll automatically gain ownership of the item.

[Congratulations! Your item [Apprentice Blacksmith of Hephaestus] has been sold for 1 Billion Credits.]

[An amount of 993 Million credits has been added to your account. Total balance - 993,234,213.00]

'That's almost three years' worth of S-grade gene supplements...'

I sighed and then looked at the epic class card in my I.V, after thinking about it I placed the Epic class card in the auction house and checked the trade-only box.

'I'll probably draw too much attention if this much amount of money suddenly appeared in my bank account, let's just accept trade requests for this one, with the items directly appearing to me it would be difficult to track down.'

I set the minimum value of items that can be used to trade to 10 Billion credits and then closed the tab.
