The Demon King looked like any other human; he wasn't that tall, about 1.80 m with a straight back and a twenty-something looks; he had black long hair, dark eyes and the facial features of what you could call a handsome man.
That was only outward appearance. He had the calmness of night within him and a mild expression; there was no shred of the evilness a demon was supposed to have.
Unconsciously, Miseya Emersin smiled lightly and the Demon King stilled his at this sight, “Then…”
“I just feel like finishing it earlier, Master,” she said nonchalantly as she walked towards him.
“Ahh, is that so?” He turned his head back with a smile to look ahead.
“Yes.”
After her reply and her being three steps to a side and one step behind where the Demon King was siting a serene silence enveloped the whole place. Both kept staring ahead, at the bright sun and clear sky above the inner big wall of the castle; from time to time, when the wind blew, red petals would leave the roses and dance away, making the scenery enchanting.

“…?” She turned her head to see him and she was met with his side profile; he was still looking ahead.
“I mean…” he turned and smiled at her, continuing, “You have been so worked up lately on not letting anyone pass over you…”
“Not at all, the Demon Lords have become surprisingly weak or at least the ones who still challenge the Demon King’s position every now and then,” she cut his words softly but with a nonchalant expression.
“Hmm…” he stared at her for a moment with his smile in place before drifting his eyes away and look back ahead, adding, “That’s not all what I meant.”
She didn’t move her eyes from him, pondering what he meant and after coming to understand his meaning, she retrieved her eyes to look up at the reddish sky and said, “Master mustn’t worry. Whatever has changed with Master, my pleasure on serving Master won’t fade.
“Master belongings are mine to protect and Master wishes are mine to complete.”
A cool wind blew and a moment of quietness was made.
“Then, what about retiring?” he asked at length.
“…”
