We've been up two days now, I was at an odd mixture of high strung and ready to pass out here and now on the ground. A yawn nearly cracked my jaw in two. So. Long. Still it wasn't super, super boring, It's just me. Hate waiting so much, ugg. I want to get this over with already. I tipped over on the pads of my feet as far as I could go, and tried to make myself read it anyway. Why was my screen so far away, anyway?
As the storm died down a gust brushed past my body, I immediately regretted breathing it in; at the tail end of it a sickening sweet-sour sent of some rotted thing. I gagged. Ew! My eyes watered for fucks sakes. Go away, go away!
The guys made disgusted sounds, Rob pinched his nose and avery speared his bill into the dirt.
The animals were awake now, not that I wanted them to be but now maybe we'd be able to get away soon. I checked on the transformed rabbit, it was still standing by the bus. Good. Stay there.
The screen folded down and new one came up.

Battle Strategy
Always check an enemies stats, how many are there, what level are they? Take care when advancing!
Enemies as well as players have can move a certain amount of square grids per turn. Some enemies have more than one turn, so use caution and stick together. Running off ahead of everyone is a sure way to die.
Resurrections will be available later, but at this time death is permanent.
Take care to guard squishy priests and such or they'll have a Game Over. System is working on separating battles from RL to protect players and all life, at this time system is patching problem areas. For now survive, leveling up will help protect players.
Depending on weapon you do not always have to do hand to hand combat, some weapons are long distance and will allow attacks from 2-4 grids away, Enemies are also able to do this.
Move determines how far a player or enemy is able to move on the grid.
Combat options
Each player has their own move amount, make sure players don't lag behind the others and become surrounded. This will cause a quick Game Over. Take care and plan your strategy before making a move, enemies will be held in a state of suspension for as long as possible. Do not always choose one formation with enemies some ways are wiser than others.
Several parties the world over have perished, take care, system does not wish for this.
The party will began each battle in a group, near the left corner or back of the battle area. Take advantage of this and check for injuries, items, and decide player placement.
When a player's turn is available a blue highlight circle will appear under them. Players are only able to move the max amount of move allotted. How much they can move is available in the stats screen. The grid will light up the max amount that each player can move. You can't move onto to a occupied grid slot if another player or enemy is on it.

The screen pixelated, fated away and opened up in front of me. "Go back to Ron. Go away!" It shook like it was trying to gain my attention, as if it need to do that. "Fine." I tapped the next button, hard.
A swelling crack that came from everywhere and nowhere, the ground quaked under our feet. Stopping myself just in time from vaulting back, from wanting to run and leave this place.
I think, I stopped breathing for a few seconds, a weird low hissing squeak build up until a scream burst forth. "Oh, crap!" Did it really— what am I looking at here? A tightening build up in my chest as sure as a if a giant clamp was on it.

The clouds started to clear and the rain lightened to a sprinkle again.
"How is... it even physically possible... !"
"How you, break it? I can't believe you broke it! How does something like that even break❔❕" Avery he tipped his head back, and pulled in several breaths. "This is the suckest thing ever."

Ron paled as this screen popped up, as if a paint can were puncture on the side and all inside drained away. "I'm beginning to wonder if," he shook his head. "nevermind."

"I think that's enough for now, Ron caught my attention then Avery's.
I resisted the impulse to ask questions and simply nodded.
""You're sure?" Avery asked. He let out a long sigh the kind you held in for a time. Maybe he's afraid of making too much noise or letting me and Ron see this?
"Mostly, I'm sure we're ready as much as we can be. Fighting? Less so." He inspected the rifle. "Not sure how to use this."
I thought for a second or two. He's usually not this serious, but then none if us have had to go though anything like this before. "Just have to try, be careful point that end away from us." I stuck my tongue out so he'd know I wasn't just being an ass.
He shot a half-hearted glare my way, "you're just hilarious. Har-har." He chewed on the inside of a cheek. "End turtual."
A few other screens showed up in rapid succession before all of us. In uninsion:
"Began Battle!"
Ron's head whipped around— off ahead where the Pegasus Nightmare had been.
I try to follow his line of sight, ah, in the sky. At some point it had left the ground and flew a few feet occasionally flapping its wings to stay in place. Those red eyes glowed casting a demonic light about it's face.
My hands started to shake, I straightened my arms willing this to go, to leave. A thousand thoughts of what could happen what could go wrong what we'd all loose tapped at my mind. Not now. Later think of it later. Avery needs me, Ron needs me. The shaking settled into a fine trembling. Better. I can fully grip the idiot brush again.
A light where the animals were covered them, in a flash they disappeared, then reappeared a few grids before the P. Nightmare. Some were grouped together others alone, none too far from the any.
A red circle lit up under a buck 5-6 grids away it moved about three forward to Avery.
"Avery!"
His head shot up, he stamped the ground with his feet, it took me a moment to realize he was up to something. Maybe a spell or skill? Did he have a skill? What if he gets injured or...
Another animal moved this one only two grid squares away from me, another large rabbit. Oh, joy.
The light circle— I'll just call it the movement ring—showed under Ron. He hesitated for a second then moved between Ron and me.
Several turns of the animals later, ny ring showed up and I Moved in front of them both. We'd all checked our defence I had a little more then everyone. Oh, goodieeee.
The grid lit up, five ahead, turning around I could move back three and two to the side. I moved forward one.
The deer cast its milky gaze my way and jumped all it's extra spaces, only one away from me. It pawed at the ground snorting and shook its head.
Ron and Avery moved beside me.
They got to move again, it came up to my side reared on it's hindlegs.
My arms flew up protecting my face and it's hooves smashed into my arms. The pain didn't register at first, I stumbled back hilding it shaking unable to even speak.
Rosey got damaged by 5!
Averys movement ring showed. He hesitated shaking his head, but seemed to pull himself out of the indecision.
"Attack!"
Then moved a grid next to the deer then in a flash he rammed the deer with his horns.
Crazed dear got damaged by 2!
"Only two? I hit it as hard as I could!" Avery growled at it, a low rumbling growl like a dog.
I clenched my teeth, and let out a slow hiss. "Keep trying." I couldn't think of much else to say, the pain was going down at least.
"Ron fiddled with the battle menu and opened up the item slots. "You need a bread, or this weird weed?"
"Let's save them, I don't like that look it's giving me we're going to need them "
A spark of lights sputtered around the grid. Next thing we knew all the animals surrounded us in a pincher attack.
Shit.
