Prologue

Waking up from with mind wrenching headache. He finds himself somewhere different. “Ahhh..” he takes some deep breaths, murmuring to himself “Slowly. Slowly. breathhh...” he opens his eyelids and gets welcomed by darkness. It was so dark he could barely make out his hands.

Trying to get up from the ground, he feels ceramic tiles on the ground. But that sudden movement brought another wave of throbbing pain behind his eyes. With haggard breaths, he sits up and lays his back on the wall.

Now his eyes were open, and he saw all kinds of eye illusions. Weird shapes we all see in the dark. It was so clear. One may not care about such things but these shapes were so crisp and clear it took him some moments to stare away and focus on his environment.

With no light to illuminate the room, he couldn’t even make out the opposite wall, with no choice but to walk blindly. The walls near him were barely visible. But anything further than an arms reach was shrouded with a dark ‘fog’ for the lack of a better word.

Standing up his heartbeat started racing, thumping faster and faster. He had to wait for a minute till his heartbeat got regulated. Such things were common occurrences with him. Only telling him that he has been laying there for quite some time.

While never letting go of the wall, he feels his way around the place. Never lifting his foot but rather dragging it all the way around the room. He didn’t know what he was expecting. But it was a normal square room. Trying to feel the size and find an exit of any sort. The roof was un-visible because of the dark ‘fog’.

The room he was currently in was 12 by 12 foot long. It only took him a moment to realize that there was no door.
