A Saturday night, the moonlight is shining through the clouds. In the home of a prestigious family, a teenager is arguing with his mother.
“Rin! GET OFF YOUR PHONE RIGHT NOW!”
“Wait mom.”
“That’s enough.” She walks aggressively to Rin and snatches the phone out of his hand.
“MOM, what are you doing! I’m texting my friend.”
“Your entry exams are soon, there’s no time to waste.”
“I studied til midnight yesterday.”
“That’s not enough, there will always be people that are studying harder than you.”
“I’m taking the phone away, you can have it after the exam.”
“Dad just bought me those last week.”
“Don’t talk to him anymore, he’s useless, and stop talking to your bum friends, they wouldn’t do you any good just like your dad.” turns around.
“That’s why dad left you.” Rin whispers under his breath
“What did you say!?”
“THAT’S WHY DAD LEFT YOU!”
SLAP.
The mother slapped him in the face. It was silent.
Rin runs back to his room and slams the door. Rin leans his back to the wall and sits down while crying. The scene darkens. Rin opens his eyes, and it appears that he fell asleep. The room is dark, he looks up at the clock, it’s 1:01. He starts thinking what happened.
“Why did I say that.” Rin feels guilt and regret. He walks out of his room, through the living room to the door of his mother’s room.
“Knock, knock, knock….” Nothing happens.
“Knock, Knock…”
“Mom, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to say that about dad.” Rin opens the door.
The room was dark and dead silent except the creaking sound from the door.
“Mom?” Rin turns on the light switch. The light lightens the whole room while Rin sees his mother covered in blood. The sheets have turned to the color of roses. Rin runs to the bed, and his mother is stabbed through the stomach, with terror on her face.
“MOM! Mom..mom...mo……” Rin’s voice begins to get quiet and soft, he can't hear his voice anymore, then his vision starts to darken and eventually turns to nothing.
He wakes up in a strange room.

“What is this room, it’s like a clear abyss..”
“Welcome.” Says the pitch black person with a grin on his face.
“Are you swallowed up in guilt, those words you said to your mom you don’t want those to be the last right?”
“I didn’t mean it.” Says Rin
“Oh is that so, well, what if I told you I could save your mom.”
“How can you save her, she’s dead…”
“Well you see there’s this power from another world, a power so great it can grant you any wish.”
“To get this power, you must get an orb from the highest level dungeon.”
“I don't have much time left, it’s your choice.”
“Yes,” Rin says.
“The rest is up to you, good luck.”
In a forest, a black hair boy is breathing heavily while getting chased by three people. The wind is blowing and the sounds of branches breaking while they are running through the trees.
“STOP RUNNING LIN!”
He keeps running as they are getting closer to the end of the road. Lin gets to the edge of the mountain and sees a waterfall beside him.
“Shit, it’s a dead end.”
He turns around as the wind heavily blows on him, they’re getting closer, Lin steps back and the ground beneath him suddenly breaks. Lin fell down, all he could hear was the wind and the water splashing. He then speaks, but the words are inaudible due to the heavy wind.
He closes his eyes, then SPLASH.
While sinking underwater, Rin opens his eyes. His vision is covered with air bubbles and the light from the sunset shining through the water. He can't move, and his vision starts to blur until he closes his eyes.
Everything has turned black, can’t see, can’t taste, can’t smell, can’t hear, and can’t feel. Suddenly he feels a sense of heat and light in the distance, he can’t help it to go towards the flames. As he gets closer and closer, the feeling gets stronger and the flame gets brighter, just as his hands touch the flames. He wakes up.
His eyes open as he sees the wood ceiling. He slowly turns his head and sits up, and a warm white towel falls down to his lap. He looked around and got a better view of the room. The room has a table, a window on the left side of the bed and the door is on the other side of the room. Rin gets out of the bed and tries to stand up. As he takes a step his legs suddenly collapse, he falls to the floor making a loud sound. His hands got scratched, as he was holding the edge of the table to stand up, a mirror fell down, Rin picked up the mirror and looked at his face.
Rin touches his face, as he thinks about what has happened. All of a sudden his head starts to hurt, then he remembers he came to this world to get the orb in order to save his mother.
The door opens, “Lin, you are finally awake.” says a mid-aged man wearing a straw hat.
“Wh….” Rin tries to ask who he is, but his throat is too dry for him to speak. The man pulls out a water container from his bag and gives it to Rin.
“Genki found you at the end of the waterfall yesterday, if it wasn’t for him finding you, you could have been dead.” While Rin is drinking the water.” talks as he sits down.
“ Who are you?”
“I’m your dad.”
“DOOM!” A blonde-haired teenage boy slams the door open.
“LIN, the examiners are here, we got to go quickly!"
He grabs Rin's arm and starts to run to the center of the village.
Before Rin notices they’re already outside the door and near the center, he then asks,
“Who are you?”
“Are you joking?”
“No, I can’t seem to remember people.”
“Must because you hit your head so hard, anyways I’m Genki, we’ve been best friends for the last 10 years.”
“I’m really in a different world...”
He thinks to himself. As they arrive at the center of the village squeezing through some people they see a huge line, in front of the line is a woman in her 20s with blonde hair and perfectly clean armor, she is taller than everyone there.
