Working on chapter 24, should be up in a couple of hours.
So, we've reached chapter 24. At basically 70k, that's already a book in and of itself, though with competition in audiobooks I'll be aiming for at least 100k. Editing with add at least 5k, so we've a bit of a ways to go.
A bit of an explanation here. As a writer, I generally fall more into the 'pants-er' type than 'planner' type, as in 'by the seat of your pants' as an author buddy of mine put it, especially with new series. Once you have an established world for sequels, you become limited in random shenanigans, which is the most fun in my opinion. On the other side of that, however, is that planners are less likely to run into writer's block.
While I haven't hit writer's block for this story, I am feeling a bit unsure where to go from here. I've kind of written myself into a corner here as I so often do with book 1s. I've established the limits of what Gamma can do and make, the distance to the closes place where things could be made, the time required for more humans to come, and the space available for the Roadrunners to explore in the central module. Ignoring the third, since that's more sequel, I'd normally solve the other three with editing and expanding the story. However, that requires time NOT writing new stuff to keep you guys interested, so I want to avoid that.

As I said, working on chapter 24 right now, and there's always the chance I'll be struck by some flash of inspiration. But, I wanted to see what you guys want since, after all, as reader you guys have a different perspective on the story. Was there some aspect you liked but I haven't returned to? Do you think things are moving too slow? Leave a comment and let me know. The advantage of RRL is that I can get fun and interesting feedback from amazing people like you guys, while growing an audience for the story.
Thanks for being here and enjoying the story :)
