I've always dreamed of helpful other people without them knowing, That was what I thought when I was alive, To help Unconditionally and secretly, however life didn't let me hold the candle for it and in the end, I only stumbled and then died after that.
I was stuck in perpetual darkness as dark thoughts plagued my mind, I thought I was going to heaven but only darkness held me in embrace, I waited for a long time until a bright red light discovered its way into my eyes.
"Is this heaven?" I thought but it was only for a few seconds did I heard a longing voice calling out to me.
"Moss" It was calling me that, an algae that grows in humid areas.
I couldn't open my eyes, but I felt my body wriggling at the hands of someone holding me.
"Ush ush ush" A voice that want to comfort me sounded as my body was being caressed by gentle whisper.
When I woke up I felt a soft flesh in my mouth, instincts caught up to me and told me to suck it, now that I've thought about it, it seems I was a baby right now, this confused me for now as I know that I've already died, maybe I was reincarnated again? but how can such a rule form when the world I lived in doesn't have any strange energies and what not or is a human soul really an energy that can go back to world and is capable of living in a different body? I don't believe in reincarnation but suddenly this unexplainable event happened to me, I speculated everything I know and concluded that, I was indeed reincarnated and I was a baby but I don't know if this is a different one from the world I know.
But I noticed something different in my body, it's that kind of feeling of cool air breeze that you feel in a sunny day however it was in my body, I've read a few reincarnation novels and I probably think this is Mana.
From what I know in novels I read was that cultivating mana while being a baby gives a headstart in both mana capacity and control.
I imagined the cool air breeze, gathered it slowly and surely so that I won't explode in the process. However, I can't seem to do that, I tried a few times again yet it was always the same, my body was rejecting foreign mana from being absorbed, is this a defense mechanism? is this telling me that absorbing mana from the surroundings are dangerous in a way? if it is then I should probably change my perspective, I thought of a way to do it, Harmonizing my mana to the surroundings, gathering and shaping it by combining my own mana and the surrounding mana to form a bond so that I can absorb it.
Literally, it's just like making water out of seawater but of course with slow absorption and with less effiency, the only thing I gained here was that I can now absorb mana.
I didn't know if I conjured a visible absorption or invisible but I can feel it merging with me.

Something weird was happening to my little Moss.
I was just carrying him around when suddenly a blue cool air was swirling around my little Moss, I knew this phenomenon was something only a magician could create and I don't know much about it, So I called my husband over to discuss to this event.
"Darling! my little Moss is acting weirdly!"
I yelled a the kitchen where my husband was, after a few seconds he arrived with a troubled face.
"Look" I pointed at little Moss.
He stared and was surprised to see it. "Goddess! this is a blessing!"
His feet fell to the ground, Bowing while he had a sad expression on his face.
"Blessing? but... why are you sad?" I asked while frowning.
"This phenomenon only happens when a beginner magician learn how to harmonize their mana to the surrounding" he paused.
"And How is being a magician a bad thing?"
I was confused.
"It's a bad thing because he's too young to learn that, Average beginner magician's learn to harmonize mana when they are 10 years old, but he isn't 10 but only a week old, this is what I'm afraid of, he's a genius and that in itself is dangerous because if the Church or any Organizations know it, they'll likely take him away from us."
"No... I can't let them take him away, he's my son!"
I hug little Moss even if he was covered by the blue light.
"I know that, which is why we need to hide him for now, we cannot let the others know about this"
He walked to his room and stayed there for a while, while I kept caressing little Moss and telling him how much I love him, He seemed to react to my words as I noticed the blue light surrounding him was gone.
My husband returned with a bag full of clothes.
"We need to move away from the village, I'll take care of him for now, and you should pack your clothes."
I nodded and packed my clothes and other things.
When I was finished I came back to my husband and look at his eyes, I moved closer to him, kissed him and after that we moved out.
"We need the Village chief's permission I'll go talk to him while you get the bags into the wagon"
My husband did not hesitate as he made his way to the Village Chief's house together with my son.
I took the bags and placed them neatly on the wagon.

I mustered my confidence and made my way to the Village Chief's house together with my son.
I leaned closer to my son and gently whispered my word to him.
"Don't worry Papa will keep you safe" I kissed his forehead and proceeded.
I approached the guard at the door and nodded to him, he also nodded and gave way to the door, once I was inside I smelled the clean air in the surroundings.
"Amazing" the Village Chief words echoed in the room.
"It's amazing"
I only nodded and waited him to say some more.
"I expect that you are leaving the village is that right?"
I only nodded as I already expected this. "Please let us leave Village Chief!" I bowed as I raise my son to him.
"I already know that your son is special so there's no need to examine him."
I nodded and stopped what I was doing.
"Alright, You can leave but I have a condition."
"As long as I can still keep my dignity I'll do anything you want."
"I won't do any if that, rather this is not much of a condition but it's actually a request."
The Chief walked in to his room, and after a while he returned with a book.
"This is a book I bought from a random merchant I hope that you let your son learn it, and if he is old enough I want him to protect this village when disaster strikes, this is my condition." He went back to his room.
I held the book with my hands, I was perplex but I bowed to the place the Chief was even though he wasn't there.
I left the House and returned to my wife that was sitting at the back of the wagon.
"How'd it go?" she looked cute when she has a curious expression so I answered.
"He said we can go" I gently handed to her little Moss and made my way to the wagon, I readied the reigns turning the horses head to the north.
"Hiya!" The horses neighed.
