Epilogue

It wasn't long before Riho settled back into her life on Earth. Akiho had managed to add another inch to her waist by foisting her leftovers onto her, but by this point Riho had stopped caring so much for appearances. Perhaps she was just still emotionally burnt out from the experience inside of the Dark Mirror. In any case, work had picked up as corporate demands seemed to be on the rise as of late, which had Airu on edge. Though Riho could have sworn she was more level headed than she was before their journey.

Riho suspected it was due to her transformation into a Mazoku, all the more obvious as Akiho was quick to point out on their return. Even in her human form Airu couldn't hide the fact that her ears had grown pointed. It was less drastic, going vertically and backwards in her human form, but given she kept her hair up someone who knew her would definitely notice the change if they were paying attention.

Though apparently, all of her corporate acquaintances failed to do so. This pieces of news gave Riho complicated feelings. She found it odd that the usually strict-about-appearances corporate climate would let such a thing pass, as to any earthling it would certainly appear like cosplay, which meant that Airu's existence to them was so thin that even after obtaining such unusual ears, she was ignored. This was almost too sad for Riho to bear.

On the other hand, that also meant no hard-to-answer questions would be coming her way using Airu as proxy. That was a relief.
